The Third Life VAs
Project Overview
Hi all!
My name is Nathan (screen name is Parables) and I am the creator of a Pokémon sprite animation series called The Third Life. The Third Life is the last of trilogy that I have made revolving around this story of a boy named Nathan who finds out that he actually is God of the world he lives in. It's a pretty dramatic, intense, and suspenseful series (at least tries to be). However, I have reached a point where I am advancing a bunch of techniques and one of them includes the idea of truly immersing the viewer into this story. This medium of storytelling is strictly reading based as it uses the text boxes from the Pokémon games. This can limit how much emotion I can truly express within an episode or scene. So, as a result, some stuff gets lost in translation.
That's where y'all come in!
I am looking for a couple of voice actors to do mainly voice over effects (grunts, small dialogue, growls and so-on). If you've played the game Octopath that just recently got released, you'll hear a good idea of what I am trying to go for by recruiting some people. I think, with the help of you guys, I'll be able to make my animation series truly remarkable and top-notch!
I'll add description for characters like importance to plot, certain isms that they might have, and a brief backstory. Characters will more importance might have actual dialogue in high-emotion scenes, so, if you want to truly voice act dialogue, I would shoot for those characters! Everyone is welcomed and most of you will probably get the part because I could always use voices for side characters of one-offs.

Izaak is Nathan's love. They might fairly recently but their feelings grew exponentially. When we see them now in the story, Izaak has just died and is in a limbo-type space. He is observing Nathan and cannot interact with him truly. He longs to be with him but can't.
Izaak is pretty cautious. He's smart and calculates things. However, when it comes to Nathan, he's pretty bold and is put out of his normal strategic behavior.
This character is an important one. He will be expected to have full dialogue for emotion-heavy scenes.
-Example of grunt; like a 'hmph'-
"No!" -a pretty forceful tone-
"You need to stay here, Nathan. You can fix this world. There are so many people who need your help still. Save them like you saved me."
Hailee is a pretty emotional character. She used to date the main character, Nathan, but they broke up before the series began. They just recently got into contact and Hailee still has strong feelings for him. She's very stubborn, always puts Nathan first, is really concerned.
The story so far is that she has been living with Nathan after he lost the love of his life, Izaak. She's helped feed him, comfort him, and take care of him while he was spiraling down into depression and a suicide attempt. Now, Hailee convinces Nathan to go on a small little journey with her and their friend Pat.
This character is an important character and will have spoken dialogue during high-emotion scenes.

"Nathan..." -a sad tone to this voice-
"Nathan. This place has its hold on you. It's where this story began. It's where your family-... I just don't want to see you hurt anymore"
Pat is a sort of Nathan's training partner and best guy friend at this point. He has been with both Hailee and Nathan through this year of Nathan's depression. He's a pretty outgoing person and tries to make light of situations. He has a pretty upbeat demeanor about things.
Pat is an important character. He'll be expected to have full dialogue for emotion-driven scenes.
-Example of grunt; like a 'hmph'-
-Cheerful laugh. Just a 'haha" will do-
"Yeah! A new Pokémon to hang out with would be great! Try and get a Pikachu like me, okay?"
Zee is a pretty complicated character. He used to be Nathan's enemy at one point, but he has turned a new leaf. He finds the gang again as a new person who is still pretty serious but Hailee breaks him out of that shell. They fall in love and he truly cares for her. Zee's very protective of both Hailee and his sister.
Zee is an important character and will be expected to have full dialogue for emotion-driven scenes.

"Sure!" -a simple response-
"I don't want to see you get hurt, Hailee. Don't you think that hanging around here is just too risky?"
Indigo is the villain for this story arc. He is being manipulated and controlled by a powerful being. Indigo is a very privileged kid. He has a very wide vernacular and is very meticulous on what he says. He is cool, collective, and hardly ever loses his cool until things really hit the fan.
This, obviously, is an important character. He will have some written dialogue for emotion-driven scenes.

"Akarui..." (kind of somber. there's regret. pronounced awk-a,roo-e)
"Mother... Father... I am sorry but this is what I need to do. Hopefully, one day, we can be together again - happy, like a real family."
Harrison is a childhood friend of Nathan. They had a small falling out, but, upon hearing from Hailee that Nathan had a suicide attempt, he decided to come back into his life and help him. Harrison is a very outgoing character. He's the foil for Nathan. He'll always try to make a joke out of a situation. He, typically, isn't the smartest, but he has a really good heart.
This character is pretty important. Might have some dialogue scenes (not too much).

"Hey!" (cheerful)
"You just gotta keep pushin' forward!"
Distortion is a very unique character. He is actually two characters in one. Tim is his true human form. Just a normal guy with a really dark secret and that is Distortion who has been a problem for Nathan since the beginning. Distortion is pretty evil, mysterious, and kind of hot-headed. He likes to get under Nathan's skin about being stronger than him. I'm expecting a deeper voice for Distortion/Tim.
He's pretty important. Might have some dialogue scenes.

"You'll never amount to anything. You'll always be so far behind. And you will die. Just. Like. Izaak.
