The Show Must Go On [ORIGINAL ANIMATIC]
Project Overview
After accidentally befriending an outcasted puppeteer, a poor townsman must stop him from putting on a puppet show that humiliates them in front of the town.
About the Project
Hello all!
I am looking for two voice actors that can provide their talent for a very short animatic. This is a school project, meaning there are strict deadlines in place. If you are looking for experience, and are able to work swiftly, this project may be a good match for you!
This is only one scene, and should be thought of as a prototype. These are characters I've had for a while, but I've only recently dusted them off and put them to use for school. This isn't a fully fleshed out story at all. So please don't stress about being perfect!
The script and storyboard is complete. Now I just need your voices!
Additional Information
* You will be paid upon completion of all your lines. Payment will be through PayPal.
* This will not be directed live.
* Communication can be conducted through email or Discord.
* Both roles are very short. They each have less than 10 lines.
Feel free to ask any questions.

- The town's weirdo. He isn't afraid to be himself at all. However, his eccentricities have isolated him from the rest of society. Starved of human connection, he's turned to making puppets to be his friends.
- Looking for voices that are quite animated, with dramatic inflections. Pretty inspired by Tiny Tim in general. Theatrical, giddy, grandiose, enthusiastic. Kind of unhinged and eerie.
- In the scene, he manages to stay ignorant and unaware about how Strings is feeling. He carries on very excitedly, because he's about to put on a puppet show for the whole town to see (unbeknownst to him, they're here to laugh).

"Oh, there he is! The real star of the show. Doesn’t your brother look just beautiful?"
(said like he's forcing a smile) "It sounds like you want to change the whole thing..!"
"Look, it’s perfectly natural to feel self-doubt before a big show. But let me assure you. The crowd outside? They’re here for you. They want to see this! The greatest rags-to-riches story ever told!"
- An unassuming townsman who felt really bad for Puppet Master and decided to be nice to him. However, he has a big heart, and has difficulty saying "no" to people. He found Puppet Master creeping into his life any chance he got, but has been unable to tell him to get lost. Puppet Master got pretty attached to Strings, even making a puppet that looks just like him.
- Looking for voices that are relaxed or fatherly. He's lived a stressful life, and is now just tired. Reserved, soft-spoken, feels insecure and vulnerable.
- In the scene, he is trying his best to confront Puppet Master in the most gentle way possible. Really, he's terrified that this puppet show will turn him into the town's laughingstock too, and needs to stop it.

"Hey, Puppet Master? I was meaning to talk to you about the show."
"Don’t get me wrong, it’s great already. But, you know, maybe you can change some dialogue? And a few names? Places, too. Or… general plot points?"
"You've got a real gift here. Seriously. I mean, look at the way you capture people's likeness. It’s as though you see people for who they truly are. But, uh, maybe not everybody is ready to see themselves so… up close, you know?"
