Hello, everyone! This is a casting call for The Serpent Under My Skin. We are looking to fill four roles before November 20th, 2022. TSUMS is a mid level fantasy audio drama about our protagonist, Paladin, finding out the truth about their religion and why they were brought to the world they live in. It's a revenge story about grief and continuing patterns that doomed you in the first place. This is a passion project amongst friends, but we have four roles left to fill. This is an unpaid position, as we have next to no money and are creating this in our free time.

An elderly gentleman trying to get medicine for his granddaughter, living in the slums of the city. This is a relatively small role, but needs to be emotionally impactful.

An old man that has headed the Church for decades now. He’s not kindly, and has made questionable decisions as the head of the Church, including allowing for Drifters to be murdered under the guise of condemning the House our Paladin comes from as heretics and radicals while turning a blind eye to their actions. His role involves being confronted by our main character, Paladin.
Who are you? Why are you in my room? What is that?
The Church has no connection to the House of the Devout. You are mistaken.
(loud, demanding, frantic) WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG?
A young person, male or female, we’re open to all interpretations, that stops our Paladin and questions them regarding the death of a farmer. You can choose which gender to play them as. They’re just, as their name implies, and very chivalrous and well spoken, clearly highly educated.
Miss, are you a traveler? It’s dark out. You should head back to the inn.
Just two days ago, someone murdered a man and his wife on their homestead and buried their bodies.
(panting, stressed) You fight like a killer.
A middle aged man, with a gentle, quiet voice. He raised Paladin and loved them as his own child. He made a lot of mistakes, and raised them to be a killer, but he does genuinely love them and presses for gentler treatment in the face of the Bishop’s punishments. He worries about them, and doesn’t want them to die.
It was a plot of the Great Serpent to deceive you. Pay it no mind, and stand by your convictions.
