Howdy howdy hey!
I'm PixelizedSunset, and I'm here to introduce a fandub of The Rise of Scourge: a manga book from the Warriors franchise that details the backstory of one of the series' most infamous antagonists, Scourge the alley cat. Written by Erin Hunter and read by the voracious reader that was me as a youngster, this series holds a special place in my heart; I hope to do it justice with this comic dub.
I am releasing this dub in short "chapters" on my YouTube channel. No money will be made off this project-- as I work on my main animated series, Delivery!, I thought it would be nice to start a comic dub just as a bit of fun. ^^ The team is very small but very friendly.
All of the scripts have been completed, the majority of voice lines have been turned in, and I am busying myself with stitching together episode two's audio and visuals. Coming back from a post-pilot hiatus, I am happy to finally have this project back in my hands and kicking!
When recording, please....

Ensure that there is no background noise. I can filter out a good portion of it, but it makes my job a heckuva lot easier if there's nothing to edit out.

Make sure your mic is of good quality. No need to have a home studio! ^^ I'd just prefer if lines were recorded with a headset or a proper mic to reduce editing time; again, see tip #1.

Provide multiple takes of each line. Less of a preference and more of a tip; these auditions will be done quickly, so I understand if you're lacking the time to produce a couple of takes. Two or three is fine, but at the end of the day, whatever's your best is your best! :D

A former member of Bloodclan who has since left to live in the forest. Tigerstar's guide to city life, Boulder is one of the main reasons the Shadowclan leader is allowed an audience with Scourge. This role will be rather quick; Boulder only has seven lines in the dub.
BOULDER (Pleadingly)
Scourge needs to hear this. It could be to his advantage.
BOULDER (With fear)
Shhh! This may not be a clan as we know it, but these cats would kill if their leader ordered them to.
The extra characters in The Rise of Scourge. Be it a child, a stray, a foe of Scourge, or a friend of Scourge, the opportunities are limitless for the unnamed characters of this world.
Multiple people will be cast for this role as a great deal of lines in The Rise of Scourge are delivered by unnamed characters. Feel free to audition with a demo reel; the key to this role is range. I am primarily looking for masculine-sounding extras, but all notable auditions will be considered!
(Human child; JOYFULLY) "Oh, they're just so cute!"
(Older cat; WARNINGLY) "Just make sure you don't go in the forest, sonny."
(Alley cat; DESPERATELY/ RESPECTFULLY) "Well, sir, you see, he didn't have no call to take that rat... It was my rat, y'see, sir, and it just didn't seem right nohow..."
