The New Doctor Who: The Man who Walked
Project Overview
Yes, you read that right. This is a remake of Series 11 of the Modern series of Doctor Who, which aired in 2018. A series, not necessarily considered terrible, but largely agreed to be 'inconceivably inconsistent', 'lazy', and 'creatively bankrupt'. Many claim it fails to satisfy the majority of Doctor Who fans in more ways than one, and tears down the very fabric of the show. The point of this project is to breathe new life into the series with an original and creative direction.
YouTuber 'B-Where', popular mainly for his videos critiquing television series and movies, took a particular fascination in the current Chris Chibnall era of Doctor Who (spoiler: he's not a very big fan). So, in order to honor the show's legacy in the most respectful way he can (many Doctor Who fans will tell you Chris Chibnal hasn't) B-WHERE has spent the past few months, gathering a large team of artists, composers, designers, and, of course, actors to completely remake this series from the ground up, starting from Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor's regeneration---the point that many Doctor Who fans agree is when many issues started to arise.

We're looking for someone who can accurately recreate David Tennant's 10th Doctor for a cameo scene in this episode. Tone, inflection, and accent are all important because this is an audio series; There's no visual element to denote that this is the 10th Doctor! So if you can do an accurate impression, please submit an audition!
"Hello there! I'm the Doctor, although you probably knew that... You could tell from the- the voice, yeah. I tell you what, great voice though, innit?"
“Sorry about..’Sir Scared a lot’, down there. Needed a bit of a guide to get me here. Well, I say ‘guide’, more just..company, if anything, and even then, not the best conversationalist..-anyway! Hello! I heard through the ol’ grape vine that you, big fella, needed rescuing! So here I am! Sorry I’m a bit late, traffic and all that. I’d advise against taking the scenic route-”
“Well, those ‘mortal men’ haven’t ever met me now have they? Besides - I’d say compassion is always the right choice at the end of the day. Follow your heart! Or, in my case, follow them both- Although, I have to say. If there is one thing you can do for me, I suppose...when other people make the trek out here, and oh they will. Whether they, oh I don’t know, get lost on a hike or..come seeking Cupid’s embrace like lover boy down there, just do me a favour. Remember to be kind, ay?”

Ever wonder what footsteps would sound like on the surface of a planet made of jelly? The type of sound that might be generated by a 5th-dimensional being phasing into our reality? Or perhaps you just love working with audio and want to help bring Doctor Who back to its former glory - if any of these describe you, please don't hesitate to send in a portfolio of any kind!
This role would include - reading scripts and deciding which actions require SFX, audio engineering, foley, vocal atmosphere, and mixing. We have a small team already, so if you only fulfill a few of these skills, feel free to audition regardless.

We are looking for someone with experience in music composition, from various backgrounds. Primarily mixing/sampling artists will not fit in this role. Proficiency in Logic, Audacity, or equivalent program required.

A medieval princess trapped in a castle guarded by an enormous monster... But she sounds more like a modern-day woman from London. She's sarcastic and witty, not your typical fairytale damsel in distress.
“Enough! Please. I grow bored from your fantasies of this ‘happily ever after’. Like the imagination of a child. Have you not ever thought for yourself on the fact that no one else has ever returned from their journeys to ‘rescue’ me?... My Dad is a bit..overprotective.”
“No no, I get it. You’ve traveled across the land so you can... ’take my hand in loving matrimony’, or...whatever! You’re not the first bloke to come here expecting some sort of 'consultation.'”
“Traveling heroes...I thank you for..coming to my rescue, blah blah, etc, etc- Oh, screw it! You’ve made a wasted journey mate! I ain’t coming down, so you might as well just get lost now!”
A medieval knight on a journey to save a princess - but he's not prepared to face her monstrous guard. This role requires a heroic masculine voice, as well as a more pathetic inflection.
“Oh, my...my fair lady! Today is the day of celebration!..We have journeyed..far and wide, to come to your rescue!”
“But it was foretold by the five whispers of the Carrionites that you were forever imprisoned in a tower against your will?...would you not want to leave? For me to take you back to my kingdom?..it’s very quite lovely, we-”
“Ah! My fairest lady, I… must return home for reinforcements! Look forward to my, uh, my swift return!”
An enormous spiked creature, not dissimilar to a dragon, that guards the castle housing a princess. This role requires a very deep, gravelly voice.
“LEAVE THIS PLACE! BEFORE I RAIN HELLFIRE UPON YOU FOR JOURNEYING INTO MY LAND!”
“YOU’RE REFERRING TO... ME, LITTLE CREATURE??”
“HOW MIGHT I EVER REPAY YOU? IS IT MY DAUGHTERS HAND YOU SEEK? GOLD AND RICHES BEYOND IMAGINATION? MERELY MENTION WHAT YOU REQUIRE AND I SHALL SEE THAT IT IS GRANTED!”
A young girl who lives in the desert, about 8-10 years old. She's very curious and prone to speaking her mind.
“You escaped a sand scarab by tapping your wand on the floor a few times. You seem like the type of person to face a monster with a plan.”
DOCTOR
“It’s there in the title! A screwdriver! Except my one flashes cool colours and opens doors... and plays solitaire! But only on a good day.”
GIRL
“Woahh..”
“..I don’t understand. Why can’t you just use your wizard wand again to blind it like you did before?”
A tired and caring mother struggling to raise a daughter in a desert on a dead world.
“Here. We barely have any left, but I think you’ve more than earned it... Please. It’s the least I can do...you look like you haven’t drank in days.”
“I know better than to ask your name. I think names are...lost, out here.”
“I went to the local trader town last week, had to leave the girl here with her father. Bounty hunters are always passing through, or at least I assume that’s what they are. I posted two notices, one to help deal with the thing that stabbed him. The other, for a doctor.”
A very suspiciously robotic butler... that turns out to absolutely be a robot. Looking for an upbeat and optimistic male voice that has an automated tone to it.
“Hello! How may I be of service?”
“Yes! Certainly! Sugar! Guests! Please, enter!”
“Certainly! This way sir!”
An ethereal, angelic being that takes a form similar to a young woman. She speaks with a perspective from outside of time and space; a detached logical being, but with a tinge of kindness.
“Amusing. I give you credit, Doctor. I see more of myself in you than I first realized.”
“You claim the title of ‘Doctor’. A word granted to those who heal, who cure mortal forms of their illnesses. So please explain this to me: I feel… cold. My chest, in pain. My head feels like it has traveled from one side of the galaxy to the other in seconds… I can hardly bear it...”
“Yes. I heard their cries for help. They were... so loud. I saved them from the endless void of darkness you know as... ‘death’.”
A jovial overweight noble, that's really an alien in disguise! A Rathlene, cousin to the Slitheen - he is the acting king of his domain. His voice is somewhat aloof and pompous.
“Greetings! Lovely to meet you! Lovely to meet you indeed! My name is Bem-Lim, this is my wife, Jiln-Lim, our son, Tleef-Lim, and our loyal servant, Alfie.”
“Please do excuse the boy. He’s always..making up imaginary friends, ha, as children often do.”
“Quiet, boy! To your room, now! And you can forget about supper!”

“Where’s Alfie?? You can’t just come barging into our house demanding to know how we live our-”
“Oh look at the time, I think it’s getting rather late, we think it’s best you were on your way-”
“Oh I do apologise!...Indigestion. *Very light chuckle*”
An aloof overweight prince, that's really an alien in disguise! A Rathlene, cousin to the Slitheen - his parents are the king and queen of this domain. He's a slightly spoiled child, his voice that of a typical 8-year-old boy.
“But mum, why can’t we just tell them about Isabelle?”
“It was an angel! An angel saved us!”
“Isabelle gave us everything we could ever ask for!”
A mysterious stranger wandering the desert. His voice is raspy from years with limited food and water. An alien of some kind, his voice is only mostly human. His intentions are unknown...
“Thank you..you’re very generous. I think that’s a rarity around here..”
“I used to be obsessed with... identity. I think... I wanted to feel like I belonged to something. With someone. I was too taken over by it all, that... I never even asked if I should. What about you? You’ve clearly seen conflict of some kind… What was it you fought for?”
“I’m s-s-soo t-thirsty. I smelled your b-b-blood half a mile away! It’s..ancient, like..a f-fine wine!”
