The Medoran Chronicles Fan Trailer
Project Overview
What is it?
Hi there! This casting call is for a movie-style trailer about the Medoran Chronicles, a book series by the author Lynette Noni. I need voice actors for characters who say 1-2 lines each.
For anyone unfamiliar with the original series, it is a five book fantasy series about a sixteen year old girl called Alex who travels to another world. There, she discovers people with supernatural gifts, and attends a school specialised for these people. She meets and makes many new friends, as well as enemies in this new world. Unfortunately, something sinister is brooding, and Alex finds herself bearing the weight of the survival of the people living in Medora. Can she save them, even at the expense of finding her own way back home?
This trailer will be made in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (see my previous works for a sneak peak at the title card)
Requirements
There aren't many rules or requirements, as this is only for fun! I do, however, wish for the following to be observed:
- Please make sure you have a decent sound quality. It doesn't need to be anything amazing, but please ensure no background noise, limited popping and clicking, etc
- Please include at least 3 takes for each line
- Please use as much expression as you can! (This will be for a movie trailer, so dramatism is welcomed!)
- Reading the book series is NOT necessary, however please read the character descriptions before recording, so that you know the context of the characters.
- This project is not paid
- Have fun!
If your audition is chosen, I will let you know via private messaging on CCC. I will also credit you in the final video, which will be uploaded to YouTube.

- Alex is the main character of the book series, and is 16 years old
- She steps through a doorway from Earth to Medora, where she experiences unimaginable things happening.
- She attends the school Akarnae, a school for supernaturally gifted students
- Alex is considered to be the only who can save Medora when trouble arises later on

(Said in wonder and confusion when she first stumbles into the new world)

Alex: No! Stop it!
(Shouted at the antagonist, who is about to hurt her best friend)
- Bear is a 16 year old boy who Alex befriends.
- His full name is Barnold Eustace Arthur Ronnigan (shortened to the nickname 'Bear')
- He is the one who first explains to Alex where she is
- He is funny, caring, and adventurous

Medora is our world, which is like a parallel Earth
(Bear explaining to Alex what Medora is when she first meets him.)
If we’re right about you, then you’re from another world
(Bear talking to Alex after explaining his theory about where she comes from. Said in awe)
- Aven is a mysterious character who Alex meets early upon arriving in Medora
- He looks to be in his late 20s, and speaks with a charming voice

Aven: Oh Alexandra, you have no idea how pleased I am to have found you…
(Said with a slightly sinister tone, but also mysterious like he know something that Alex doesn't. Aven says this when he first meets Alex, but she has no idea who he is)
