The Lion King I (( Genderswap Fandub.))
Project Overview
Hey there!
My partner and I are going to be doing a genderswap fan-dub of the Lion King!
We are DEFINATLEY going to need an expirenced editor(w/ Sony Vegas, or something similar to that)
We are going to be doing a voice over of the movie.
-Unfortunatley we aready have an ideal for Simba.-
We are going to be doing it split into parts where we have some people if they're not willing to sing, other people can audition for a singing part.
And if you want to do both, you totally can! :3
Make sure you have a skype, and you can also audition on youtube, pleaseee~.
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyGFLGBdJVHlbH9VnCyTCsA (My channel.)
If you have a prefessional microphone that would be GREATTT, but also phone mics are very welcomed also! As long as we can hear you and there is no background noise that would be great!
When you audition with music, I need to have a instrumental behind it.
Thankyoou and happy auditioning!
-Hanah-Chan and Foxfang51
UPDATE: I HAVE ADDED YOUNG SIMBA TO THE CHARATERS LIST!
UPDATE # 2: Yes, I have casted people earlier. I just wanted to say that, we are super excited for the people that we did cast! And still thank you for the people that did audition for those parts! The remainding parts are still open, and I REALLY need a Rafiki.

Pumbaa has a kinda raspy voice, but a medium to low pitch voice.
Pumbaa sings a couple times in the movie.
(Near the ending of the movie, Hyena's have Timon cornered. [T: Please don't eat me!]) "Drop 'em! [B: Hey! Who's the pig?] Are you talkin' to me? [T:Uh-oh, they called her a pig.] Are you talking to *me*?(Starts to get louder, and sounds angrier [T:Ya shouldn't have done that.] ) (Shouting) ARE YOU TALKING TO ME? [T:Now they're in for it.] (Shouting loudly) THEY CALL ME MR. PIG! AHHHH!"
"Oh, gee. I always thought they were balls of gas burning billions of miles away." (Oblivious, but also seems to know, in a softer tone.)
(Sing Hakuna Matata, to your best ability.)
She's very sarcastic, up-beat, a know-it-all.
I would definatley prefer a new-yorker filipino accent.
Sings a couple times in the movie.
"Let me get this straight. You know him. He knows you. But he wants to eat her? And everybody is okay with this?" (Sarcastic and confused) "(Yells) Did I miss something?!"
"They're fireflies. Fireflies that, uh.. got stuck up on that bluish-black thing." (Explaining tone, even though she kinda doesn't know herself.)
(Sing 'In the Jungle', to the best of your ability.)
(One of your best works)
(Another example of your work.)
Very young, naive.
Prefering from a medium range to a higher range.
Sings obviously. :D
"My mom just showed me the whole kingdom! I'm gonna rule it all!" (Optimistic, happy)
"Danger? Hah! I walk on the wild side. I laugh in the face of danger. Ha ha ha ha! "
(Sing 'Oh I just can't wait to be king' [or queen], to the best of your ability. )
Wiser tone of voice, a smoother voice, deeper voice.
She doesn't sing.
"Sarabi and I didn't see you at the presentation of Simba." (Angrier tone of voice)
"Simba, look at the stars, the great kings of the past are watching over us." (Wiser tone of voice.)
"Scar! Sister! Help me." (More of a frantic voice, about to die yo.)
Really smooth, ENGLISH, voice. Very evil, and quick witted, manipulative.
REQUIRED to do the English accent.
Sings twice in the movie.
"Why isn't it my big sister, come to mingle with the commoners." (Sarcasic, super sarcasm. cx)
"Ahh, so you haven't told them your little secret. Well simba, now's your chance to tell them. Tell them who is responsible for Mufasa's death!" (Venomous, evil, and dark.)
(Sing Be Prepared, to the best of your ability.)
A lot more agressive, high to meduim range.
Sings in Be Prepared.
"Yeah! You hear that? If you ever come back, we'll kill ya!"(Not very serious, but threatning.)
"I thought things were bad under Mufasa.[S: What did you say?] I said Muf...[Shenzi elbows her]I said, uh... Que pasa? " [Fixing her mistake, relization]
"No king, no king, la, la, la, la!~" (Dumb, silly, oblivious)
Ed does not speak, he only laughs. So be prepared, for a lot of laughing.
I made Ed generfluid so that anyone can audition for him, considering he only laughs.
(Do your best hyena laugh)
Smoother tone of voice, medium to low pitch.
No singing parts.
"And where is this really cool place?" (Calm and happy, also relaxed.)
"If you where half the Queen Mufasa was-(Then you get smacked)" (Angrier tone of voice)
"Mufasa, (long pause) How can that be?" (Confused, and also dazed.)
Shenzi is very sarcastic, he has a smooth, sassy voice. He has singing parts.
"Friends? I though he said we were the enemy." (Very sarcastic, and sly)
"Do you know what we do to kings once they step out of their kingdom?" (Knowing, and questioning.)
"No king, no king, la, la, la, la!" (Happy, goofy, stupid.)
Very minor charater, soft voice, motherly.
Nala's father.
No singing parts.
"Hmm, what do you think, Sarabi?"
This is the older version of Nala.
I would prefer a medium- to lower pitch
Obviously he sings.
(Please ignore the age it says, he's not a baby. It wasnt working with me. :C)
"What's happened to you? You're not the Simba I remember." (Dissapointed, but strong voiced.)
"*No!* Simba's gone back to challenge her aunt to take her place as queen." (Correcting, but sounds mildly annoyed.)
(Singing) "She's holding back, she's hiding. But what, I can't decide. Why won't she be the queen I know she is? The queen I see inside?"
She has a higher pitched voice, sarcastic usually.
It's REQUIRED to do an English accent.
She sings in 'Oh I Just Can't Wait to be King (queen)'
"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" (Sarcastic)
"Just look at you two. Little seeds of romance, blossoming in the savannah. Your parents will be *thrilled*, what with you two being betrothed and all." (Happy and thrilled)
(Singing)"I think it's time that you and I
Arranged a heart-to-heart
[N: Kings don't need advice
From little hornbills for a start ]
If this is where the monarchy is headed
Count me out
Out of service, out of Africa
I wouldn't hang about
This child is getting wildly out of wing"
She's old, and very wise. Voice is kind of raspy.
Doesn't sing.
"Simba." (Optomistic, and upbeat)
"Correction, I know your father (short pause) Nope! Wrong again! He's alive, and I will show you to him. You follow ol' Rafiki! He knows the way!" (Upbeat and childish)
(Really convincing monkey laugh)
This is young Nala, so a younger voice, medium to high pitch.
"The waterhole? What's so great about the waterhole?" (Rudely, but curious.)
( Singing ) "Kings don't need advice, from little hornbills for a start."
"Right. So how are we gonna ditch the dodo?" (Whispering curiously.)
