The Legend of Korra Season 1 Fandub (Casting Major, Minor, & Extra Characters!)
Project Overview
This project aims to be a completely fan-made dub of the cartoon series, The Legend of Korra. I plan to create all 4 seasons (and potentially the comics), and your talent will be greatly appreciated!
Please read the following before applying:
- Prior knowledge on The Legend of Korra or The Last Airbender is NOT required. You'll learn throughout our work! 🙂
- A Discord account is required. Please include your user name in your application, or contact me. Our server has all of the information and files needed for this project. You will receive an invite once you are cast.
- Please be dedicated and committed as this will be a long-term project, as mentioned above I intend to make all 4 seasons and the comics. If deadlines cannot be met for recordings or edits please message me ASAP or we will have to recast due to inactivity.
- MP3 or WAV format for voice submissions, recorded on a microphone, with little to no background noise.
- You may audition for as many characters as you'd like!
- Any absent major character roles have already been cast.

Korra is the current incarnation of the Avatar and immediate successor of Avatar Aang. Born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe, where she mastered waterbending, earthbending, and firebending, she later relocated to Republic City to attain a similar proficiency with airbending under the tutelage and guidance of Tenzin, as well as to help her overcome her aversion to the spiritual aspects of the bending arts.

Asami Sato is a businesswoman, industrialist, engineer, and the only child of the former wealthy industrialist Hiroshi Sato[6] and his wife, Yasuko Sato, an architect. Although a nonbender, when she discovered that her father was working with the Equalists, she rejected his hatred of benders and actively fought against the Equalists as a member of Team Avatar.

Pema is the wife of Tenzin and the mother of their four children: Jinora, Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan. A loving mother, she cares deeply for her family, though at times feels overwhelmed by the airbending abilities of her rambunctious children.

Jinora is the firstborn child and elder daughter of Tenzin and Pema and granddaughter of Katara and the late Avatar Aang. She lives on Air Temple Island with her parents and her three younger siblings: Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan.

Ikki is the second child and youngest daughter of Tenzin and Pema, and the granddaughter of Avatar Aang and Katara. She has three siblings: an older sister named Jinora and two younger brothers named Meelo and Rohan. The entire family resides on Air Temple Island, near Republic City. Ikki is fun-loving, energetic, and extremely talkative.

Katara is a waterbending master, born in the Southern Water Tribe to Chief Hakoda and his wife Kya. After Aang's passing, she became Avatar Korra's waterbending teacher.

Toph Beifong is an earthbending master, one of the most powerful of her time, and the discoverer of metalbending. She is the former Chief of Police of Republic City.

In my years, I have encountered people born with rare and unique bending abilities. Why, I once bested a man with my trusty boomerang who was able to firebend with his mind. Why, even metalbending was considered impossible for all of history until our esteemed Chief of Police, Toph Beifong, singlehandedly developed the skill. The overwhelming amount of testimony and evidence has convinced this council that Yakone is one of these unique benders and he exploited his ability to commit these heinous crimes. We find Yakone guilty of all charges and sentence him to life in prison.
Amon is the charismatic and mysterious leader of an anti-bender revolutionary group known as the Equalists. Their ultimate goal is to introduce equality for all by permanently ridding the world of benders.

Tarrlok is the last representative for the Northern Water Tribe on the United Republic Council and also serves as its chairman. He is an ambitious politician, considered fair-minded and likable by the general public; however, behind closed doors, he is a manipulative man who holds a long-standing rivalry with Councilman Tenzin.

Yakone was a powerful crime lord who threatened Republic City for many years. A corrupt and ruthless individual, Yakone longed for more power and used his unique psychic bloodbending abilities to control the United Republic capital through his criminal empire.

Skoochy is a clever street urchin, informant, and criminal who frequently roams Central City Station in Republic City, looking to pick the pockets of unsuspecting tourists. On the side, he provides inside information in exchange for bribes.

Mako is a firebender from a multicultural family who grew up on the streets of Republic City as an orphan with his younger brother, Bolin. Mako always wore his signature red scarf that was once his father's, who was murdered along with his mother when he was a boy. He formed a pro-bending team with his brother and Hasook and aspired for his new career to bring him fame and fortune. His aspirations changed, however, when he met Avatar Korra, who joined the team to replace Hasook and became a loyal friend.
