This world was once a peaceful place. Now it’s roamed by evil creatures known to us as heartless. The heartless begun to dominate our world, consuming it in darkness. It was then keywielders rose up and brought forth their light. These heroes protect us from those monsters and shield us from the darkness.

Shay is the lord of Goldheart Town and is really big on being there for his people.
So it seems those monsters took Edith. Kandi I will not keep you from saving her but I do ask that if you do go that both of you return home safely. (calm)

Freya is a keywielder the main character meets in the Celestia Kingdom. She is very protective of her younger sister Libby.

Kino is Goldheart Town's head guard. He knows of Kandi's bloodline and constantly tries convincing her to accept her lineage and fend off the heartless.

Ross is one of Goldheart Town's guards. He tends to be a Casanova towards Kandi but truly does hold feelings for her.

Kane is a citizen of Goldheart Town and a friend of Kandi. He comes from an elven bloodline and is an excellent archer.

Liam is one of Kandi's friends from her town. He is a pretty smart mage for his age and is skilled in spell casting.

Fang is another keywheilder that lives in Celestia like Freya. At first, he and Kandi don't quite get along for he tends to tease her on every mistake she makes but the motives for this teasing is soon revealed as they soon end up falling in love.

Enzo is pretty laid back for a guard but when his people are in danger he's the first to act.
