The Founders Audiodrama Series; Harry Potter Timeline Fan Project

Project Overview

Hi there, this is the 2nd Project in my Harry Potter Fan Timeline Series, this will be a larger project than my Herpo the Foul "Film" as this is the first time something major happens, I have written a first draft of Episode #1 but after that I don't really have a concrete idea of what I want to happen a few ideas here and there for sure, but no main point to focus towards, so the writer whoever is cast will have free range, but this is basically what I have for episode #1.


Episode #1 I have a pretty well thought out idea of what I want to happen, it's the first episode so none of them have met yet, it's split into 4 Parts.

Part #1; Ravenclaw: Rowena awakens from another dream where she sees herself and three other people she doesn't recognize and someone or something calling her, her mother curses her luck for giving birth to a Witch and tells her that if she's discovered again she won't protect her anymore. Rowen goes to work as she has done every other day for the past year and a half. Working as the personal maid for Princess Eleanor of Aquitaine, Rowena is lost in thought trying to work out what her dreams mean when Eleanor interrupts her thoughts by splashing her with bath water.

After getting Rowena wet and then a change of clothes fit for a princess they both go for a walk in a nearby forest when a band of Bandits appears and knock out George the Head of the Knights and try to rape both the Princess and Rowena but Rowena's magic activates as a self Defence mechanism killing several bandits and saving the Princess, refusing to let Rowena be killed Princess Eleanor knocks George out again and they both go on the run together.

Part #2; Slytherin: Salazar slithers into a small town (similar to the Prancing Pony Inn's town in LOTR) and stops by a tavern for the night where he tracks down a Witch Hunter named Tagar Gellard who murdered his mother, the Witch Hunter however has a special Shield and Sword; the Sword can cut through all protective spells and the Shield repels or offensive spells making him impossible to beat alone, just when it seems that Salazar will be killed, he's saved by Helga Hufflepuff who tells Salazar she was sent by a friend.

Part # 3; Hufflepuff: A few months before her encounter with Salazar, Helga is praying at a Pagan shrine she hears a knock at the door and hides the shrine away before she goes to answer it, Eleanor and Rowena are at the door seeking shelter from the rain for the night, at this point Rowena is terrified, dehydrated, and underfed clearly having refused to eat instead giving her food to Eleanor whenever they got their hands on any food.

Helga rushes them inside where she gets them to dry off and a bowl of soup and some fresh water, they start opening up about their situation but before they can elaborate too much they are interrupted by a knock at the door, the girls hide while Helga answers the door and sees George there looking for the two girls, he lies about the situation so Helga does the same and sends him off in the opposite direction.

She returns to see the girls trying to escape out the back but convinces them to stay after revealing she herself is a witch, Rowena has a bath then they all go to bed, Rowena has a dream about a wizard being killed by a Witch Hunter and so Helga heads out to save him while Rowena and Eleanor go to a safe house to wait.

Present Day and Helga & Salazar are heading towards that same Safe House, Rowena heals Salazar up and convinces him to be patient and instead of going off to his death they join forces to find the missing person from Rowena's vision all those years ago then they'll finally be able to find the location that Rowena can feel the pull of, even now.

Part #4; Gryffindor: Godric is forced to watch as his mother Helena Gryffindor is executed by burning at the stake for witchcraft even though she only ever used magic to heal the people of the town, Godric tries to get the towns people to help her but they refuse to afraid of the church's influence to do anything, so before she dies Helena casts a Patronus that scares the Muggles away and gives Godric a chance he escapes.

Rowena, Helga, Salazar, and Eleanor all arrive in Grimm's Hollow (later be known as Godric's Hollow) and all but Eleanor can sense they death of their kind in the very air they breath, Rowena is able to sense that Godric was here just yesterday but he had escaped with his mother's help.

They learn that Godric had gone in the direction they just left, and that Guards are on the lookout for Godric so they all head that way hoping it's not too late, Salazar goes on ahead and rescues Godric and brings him back to the forest with him once they meet up with the others Rowena is now finally able sense the location calling out to her and they all set out together.


That'll be the end of the first episode the location as you've probably guessed is Hogwarts it'll have ancient magic protecting it, Rowena will have a waking dream/vision of the future of the generations to come after them but that they'll need a safe place to train and learn about magic and how this place will serve that purpose but that it must be repaired first, so Godric, Rowena, Salazar, & Helga will help rebuild it and create a gigantic castle we could have that Peeves appears to them once this is done showing he's older than anyone in present day HP could have ever known.

    Hi everyone, it's been a while as you know this casting call ended with a pretty near perfect Cast, however that's not to say the rest of you didn't do just as well but there were only so many roles to cast.

It'll be your job to take what little we know plus some of my ideas and turn it into an overarching Series whether it's just one season or several, it'll include several people from history too both real and fictional alike, especially some of the medieval people we know exist in the HP world thanks to the Famous Witches & Wizards Cards.

If you read the description above you know the basic plot for Episode #1 but after that it's up to you, feel free to go wild but below are the main ideas I have for the series you can feel free to ask me things when writing if your not sure about something, have a loose idea but need some help ironing out the kinks etc... but yeah here are a few plotpoints/plotlines I want to appear eventually whether it's season 1, 2, 3 or whatever.


1. Salazar Slytherin will not turn evil he's not exactly thrilled about muggle-borns being taught at Hogwarts but he accepts the others decision, the Chamber of Secrets he builds is actually a prison for a Basilisk that was terrorizing a nearby village and he uses his Paseltounge to protect them and place it somewhere it can't hurt anybody, he then trains it to listen to him and will then use it as a weapon for the founders. History will just have a misconception and misremember the facts of the era.

2.Godric will eventually save a Goblin who will want to repay him in some way so Godric will ask him to forge him the best sword he can he will do so but won't want to give such a glorious sword away but Godric will take the sword as he was promised the sword he will eventually grant the sword to his son Merlin. (Get  to that in a bit.)

3. I want the 4 Founders to pour a portion of their essence into Gryffindors Hat which will then come to life and be used to sort students instead of the Teachers some of the choices will shock founders but they won't argue with the results as they won't be here forever.

4.I eventually want Godric Gryffindor and Rowena Ravenclaw to fall in love and the for that storyline of Helena Ravenclaw and the Bloody Baron (Yes Helena is both Rowena and Godric's daughter) but after Rowena's death Helga & Salazar leaves the school leaving Godric as the only Headmaster, he eventually finds love again with a witch who gives birth to a son who they name Merlin surprising everyone his own Son ends up in Slytherin House rather than Gryffindor.

5. When Merlin Graduates Hogwarts Godric will grant him his Sword and wishes him the best on his journey. The Sword of Gryffindor is what Muggles will eventually call Excalibur and will grant Arthur great power and will be why he is admired for Centuries to come.

6. I eventually want Eleanor to leave Hogwarts when she can no longer support Rowena by her side she submits to support her from afar by ruling the Kingdom she left years ago and willingly returns to her father but leaves Rowena something a gift, a Diadem which will eventually cause a rift between her and her daughter.

7. In the later episodes when the Founders are having trouble tracking all the magical kids they decide to create 2 magical objects designed to track those in their puberty with magical powers the Quill of Acceptance and the Book of Admittance it will write hundreds of names after it's created but once it has all the names down it will take time before the Quill and Book agree on who the next student is.


Now here are some characters you can feel free to use, I will have a link to their wiki pages if you're unfamiliar with the characters, please note that while all of these characters are documented till their death you do not have to, as it is not known the timeline of the Founders we have a lot of wiggle room so the characters you use can be younger versions some of which we'll have to create last names for before they were known as a more colorful moniker such as Merwyn the Malicious.

Note: As I've already said Merlin will be Godric Gryffindor's Son so he won't be used till much later on, figure I should just reiterate that, but you can feel free to create an original character similar to Merlin it will make more sense that way as to all the tales of Merlin and who certain real life people inspire his mythology.

Dark Wizard: As we know the Elder Wand has a dark history of having its master killed and then taken up by the killer so you can feel free to have one or several wizards who come across the Elder Wand some Dark others Good Wizards after all the Hallows are an important staple of the world we already have Slytherin's ring in the series, why not add another Hallow to the mix.


You can of course create original characters, as I have and use real life figures from history too, as I have.

For your audition simply write a scene short or long if your cast and decide to rewrite the scene when it gets to that point that's fine, but for the audition I need to see how well you use HP characters so if you don't do any of the scenes listed below, you will disqualified from the audition process.


1.The Founders coming Across Hogwarts: (a crumbling fortress with Hogwarts Lilies growing in its ruins they will then repair it and use it as a home base for them to save other witches and wizards to protect them)

2. Salazar Meeting Herpo the Foul: (in a future season the main antagonist will be Herpo the foul as the film/series before this tells the tale of how he bred the first Basilisk and invented/created the first Horcrux and so witnesses most of Wizarding History he is also Salazar's Ancestor and a Paseltounge too, Salazar will want to help the world be better, whereas Herpo is happy to watch the world burn.

3. Godric Gifts his Sword to Merlin: (Merlin graduates Hogwarts and Godric gifts him his sword and wishes him well on his travels)

As you will be creating music specifically for this project I'll be paying whoever I cast $50 per song/track please note however it is AUD and not USD.

It will need to keep in line with the original HP music so while it's not a straight up paste and copy cover we don't want the main theme to change too much just give it your own spin, similar to how Broad Strokes did it for their short fil Severus Snape and the marauders.

Your audition piece will need to be a short 15-30 Seconds of what we'd use as the Founders intro song, the one who I feel can bring the most for this series will be cast, given this is a paid role please do not submit an audition if you're not fully committed to giving your all to this project.

Rowena is one of the founders of Hogwarts, she starts off a fun happy albeit nervous girl then after the incident that starts the series she withdraws barely speaks but as time goes on she comes into her own and becomes confident so much so that she becomes one of the leaders of the very first Wizarding School in the world.


She has a soft, calm, almost soothing voice she is also one of the first recorded Seers in the HP Universe, at least in my timeline she is.

Helga is like the mother of the group she makes sure they eat well, sleep enough and drink all their fluids and she's the peace keeper whenever one of them is having an argument/disagreement.

She has a kind, warm and welcoming voice almost like the Medieval Molly Weasley, and much like Molly if you hurt those she care for she will strike back like a whip.

He is one of the founders of Hogwarts, he starts out bitter and hating muggles, but he grows to forgive them and to care for Muggles like Rowena and Helga.

He has a strong and commanding voice one that allows others to gather and follow his lead naturally, he is the leader of the Founders after all.

    Godric: My name is Godric Gryffindor, head of Gryffindor house and one of the Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, what I look for in my students are those who are brave and have the courage to fight in what they believe, that show chivalry to not just their friends and allies but enemies as well and those who have the nerve to stand up for what they believe even when the odds are stacked against them.

  • Talking About His First Magical Experience:

    Godric: It's honestly a surprise me and my mother weren't caught sooner, she was more careful with her use of magic, she only put it in potions and medicine, I was more careful after I was able to control it but the first time I used magic, I set fire to the Mayor's house in the town we were living at the time, he was harassing her, calling her names I don't even remember what half the things he said were now but he thought mother started the fire, she grabbed me and we were out of there until we ended up in Grimm's Hollow.

Eleanor is a Muggle Princess but does not support the subjugation of magical folk, if you've ever seen the TV Series Merlin she's very similar to Morgana from Season 1, her Maid Servant is Rowena Ravenclaw and they are best friends and care for one another and even though she's a Princess, Eleanor dotes Rowena like a sister. Especially when they run away together after Rowena reveals her magic and is forced to go on the run.

George is the Knight Captain of Eleanor's Kingdom and is loyal to the Royal family but more specifically to Eleanor's Father and so does not think twice before branding Rowena a evil witch/heretic.

He has a gruff voice that shows his age and the many battles his lived through, he can be kind but he can also have a dark tone when he's dangerous.

    George: If I may your highness she is but a maid a servant she shouldn’t be wearing something fit for a princess, but if she was to become a lady in waiting she would not only be guaranteed to marry someone of great nobility if not a higher ranking, So she would have a good life.

  • George: I will sneak her to the next village over where I will supply her with food clothing and a horse for transportation, but I am Loyal first and foremost to his Majesty if there is a witch in our Kingdom I have to tell him.

  • George: Hello, sorry to disturb you miss? We’re looking for 2 young women one is the Princess of Aquitaine. The other is a witch that has enchanted our beloved Princess into believing they are friends it’s awful.

A Powerful Witch Hunter gets paid for tracking down and killing powerful Wizards and Witches, is the same Witch Hunter who killed Salazar Slytherin's mother going so far as to steal her ring, would've taken her locket too if it wasn't protected by dark magic it's what caused Tagar to go on the run before finishing off Salazar too.

He has a whispery kind of voice a but like Voldemort in a sense as he's dark and twisted but he views himself the one in the right he is a faithful Christian and believes Witches and Wizards spawn of the devil so he goes a bit psycho when he's chastising them for their curse of magic.

  • Tagar Angry When He Learns Who's Really Been Hunting Him:

    Tagar: (stands up) So you’re the one who’s been tracking me down I’ve been on the run for years because I thought it was the Duke after I failed, he said he’d kill me so I ran you’re telling me all this time it’s been you! 

  • Tagar As He's About To Kill Salazar:

    Tagar: (gets him on the ground) Say hi to your mommy for me you little worm! (he stabs Salazar through the heart)

  • Tagar Explaining How His Weapons Work:

     Tagar: It's quite simply really, this Shield I is made out of enchanted Ore, and this Sword has been enchanted by a Wizard, the one who enchanted it was it's first victim. The Shield blocks and and all offensive spells and even rebounds a few, while the sword destroys any and all defensive magic meaning I can cut through and attack. it makes me almost invincible, I'm still vulnerable from the back so a sneak attack is always a nasty surprise
