The End of the Line: New Age Vertical Slice Part 2

The End of the Line: New Age Vertical Slice Part 2

Project Overview

INTRODUCTION

The End of the Line: New Age is an in-development Mobile Gacha game with a strong focus on Narrative, World Building, and Decision Making. We are currently in the process of further refining our vertical slice for playtesting/showcase purposes and need to expand our voice cast to help polish up the experience.

We are looking for talented voice actors who want to help us bring our diverse cast of characters to life.

The Voice Cast is for the vertical slice only, however there may be the opportunity to continue or expand the role in the future.

We will be paying all roles a base rate of $20 USD plus $2 per line. We are looking to record combat "barks" for in-game combat. Each character will have roughly 80 lines to record in this pass. Future passes are already planned, with a focus on visual novel style interactions.

This project will be under NDA and you will receive official credit for your participation.

The End of the Line: New Age OVERVIEW

As mentioned above, The End of the Line: New Age is an in-development Mobile Gacha game with a strong focus on Narrative, World Building, and Decision Making. Players take on the role of The Conductor, the leader of a group of post-apocalyptic survivors who leave the safety of their home to travel by train to the legendary End of the Line. Along the way The Conductor acquires a diverse and ever growing cast of characters (known as Railors) leading them in exploration and combat. Along their journey players will be forced to make choices and face the consequences of those choices through our branching, on-going narrative.

The world of TEOTL:NA is full of history, mystery, and danger.  The Conductor will uncover the secrets of the world, how it ended, and maybe how to save it.

Lone Wolf

Paid: Flat Rate 190 USD
Role assigned to: JessiCartoons

Lone Wolf is a 9 year old girl and an assassin. Trained and later abandoned by bandits, her childhood was brutal, but she was rescued by Kora, and Lone Wolf sees her as a mother. She is the youngest member of the elite Hope's End Sentinels. Despite her age, she is an apex predator on the battlefield. She is a 6 star (extremely rare) character in our game.

She speaks dryly in short, blunt phrases... intimidating to even the adults, but is more shy than she lets on. Lone Wolf should have a somewhat monotonous cadence to her normal speech, which is generally when she's in "assassin" mode, but can also lighten her voice to sound more natural to a girl of her age when her guard is down. She is a hardened warrior, a master hunter with a rough exterior, but she is still a little girl inside.

Lone Wolf currently ~85 lines of dialogue currently.

Bors

Paid: Flat Rate 190 USD

Bors is an old veteran soldier of the Hope's End Scavengers, and a mentor and adoptive father to Kora the groups current leader. He's a chivalrous knight in this post apocalyptic world looking to pass the torch to the newest generation, helping any way he can despite his advanced age. He is powerful fighter, who puts his body on the line to protect his squad.

Bors' personality is something of a cross between Reinhardt from Overwatch and Alfred from Batman. His voice should have a noble-sounding tone to it. Despite his age, there's still a spark in his eye for adventure and combat, and may also come across as jovial.

Bors has ~85 lines of dialogue currently.

  • Order and routine are what keep the people of Hope's End going. But without purpose, without hope, we have no future.

  • The clock started ticking well before either of you were born, and we're just about out of time.

  • With the advent of our journey just on the horizon, we thought it would be prudent to... er, expedite things a bit.

Rex is a hot-blooded young man with a loud personality and a heart of gold. He's recklessly heroic, putting himself in danger in efforts to do the right thing, and also impress Kora, his crush. He is Iris' younger brother and knows she'll always have his back patching up the countless injuries he receives

Rex is 19, and often has a very cheeky tone in his voice. He's not quite a trickster by nature, but leans closely toward that archetype, and he needs to have a cockiness to his cadence. He sees himself as a Hero, and also refers to himself as "King Rex" at times. He's not completely conceded, but he definitely has a big head most of the time.

Rex has ~90 lines of dialogue currently.

  • Hey, Kora! Check out these bad boys! (Referring to his muscles)

  • Let's head to the bandit camp. Hit 'em fast and hard. Don't let up until they run away with their tails between their legs.

  • What?! They're trying to intimidate us! We shouldn't let them push us around.

Iris is a young woman with a timid and gentle disposition. She's a medic with a mild fear of blood, but a sense of duty that enables her to power through, especially when it comes to patching up her reckless younger brother, Rex. While normally quite and reserved, she can gain confidence when confronting her brother's antics.

Iris is shy and meek, but also thoughtful in her dialogue. While she is quiet at times, she knows how to speak from the heart when it counts. She should be able to shift between moments of lesser or greater confidence depending on the scene. We discussed that on a scale of 1 to 10 on timidness, where a 10 is Mikan from Danganronpa, Iris would be a 5.

Iris has ~85 lines of dialogue currently.

  • Kora, do I really need to train? I'm not a fighter like Rex...

  • You don't have to sound so happy about killing people!

  • Even if we have to do it, we should at least acknowledge that they didn't want to die.
