Project Overview
Welcome to the Comic Dub Audition of The Doctors are Out
“The Doctors are Out” is a Webtoon by the artist Blau, who has thankfully given me permission to dub this series.
Summary from the webtoon: The beloved Dr. Matias Guevara tends to his patients in his little neighborhood health clinic, unaware that Dr. Fernando Guevera opened his new veterinary clinic right next door! With their patients confused and their tolerance running thin, the two grown men constantly bicker and compete! Will their similar names and professions cause their rivalry to go untreated, or will they heal each other's broken hearts ?!
As the summary entails, there will be LGBTQ+ themes and characters in the webtoon dub. Also Hispanic, Filipino, and POC will be in the dub as well and all are encouraged to Audition.

This dub is unpaid work, and as this is a Comic Dub please do not post this on any Demo Reel or Resume.
Requirements for Microphones for Voice Actors
An XLR Microphone (or a USB Microphone with treated recording Area) is preferable.
Requirements for Editors
Must have experience of Comic Panel and Sound editing and effects, be able to provide samples of your work (We will check and verify), be able to be in contact at any time.
Directions for Audition Takes and Format
For the Audition, and the actual comic should you receive the role, It is required that you include three takes for each line-1a,b,c 2a,b,c 3a,b,c- (Except the audition in which case it is 1a 1b 1c and so on). The lines need to be recorded on a Mono track and put in an MP3 or WAV format.

You must be willing to be up for Discord calls that involve directing recording sessions. You need to be willing to adhere to deadline dates that have been set. (If you need an extension, please let me know before the deadline; Preferably within 48 hours before the deadline passes)

Fernando ‘Nando’ Guevera is the new Veterinarian who opened his own Animal Care facility next door to Mat’s medical clinic. Suffering the after-effects of a messy breakup, Nando is looking to start over with his life but his past will not let go. It is only when he meets Mat that he begins to start the healing process.
(Excited) Yeah, let’s do this! Guevara Petcare is officially open!
(Hurriedly) Ah Crap! The bus! I have to catch the bus!
(Sobbing) I.. I dun wanna! You SUCK! You were bullying me just a few days ago. Why would I tell you anything?! Why do you even care about me you stupid man in a dog costume! What's that even about?!

Leo is a transgender man, and, Mat’s assistant in the medical clinic who has taken a liking to Mary, Nando’s Assistant. He does tire of Mat’s Cockiness at times. But he is a loyal friend to Mat until the end.
(Matter of Factly) Turns out it's a Veterinary Clinic, Shes probably confused because of the name.
(Impressed) Whoa it's so nice to finally meet you! I’m Leo and I assist the Doctor.
(Flustered yet calms down) W-well, the last one. Me… that was me.

Mary is Nando’s assistant in the Veterinary Clinic and one of Nando’s closest friends. She has stayed by him through thick and thin.She was on his side when Nando’s Ex broke things off with him in the worst possible way.
(Reassuringly) You worry too much Nando. It’s just a new place, you’ll be fine
(Helpful) Mrs. Shelley lives alone and was wondering if you’re interested in renting out one of the vacant rooms in her house. I wrote down the address. She said you can drop by to look at the room today.
(Angrily) Then tell Ava this… giving this back won’t fix anything This isn’t what he needs. If anything, it just rubs salt into the wound. I know she never cared much for Nando… but she could at least have the decency to give him the closure he deserves

Lorenzo or Ren Ren as he wants to be called is Mat’s son. He leaves Ren Ren in the care of his parent’s due to his busy job. However, one day he goes to Fernando Guevera’s vet to try and fix his stuffed puppy Pippo. Which helped start a friendship between Mat and Nando.

(Happy) Papa!
(Explaining) Pippo broke his arm and Papa tried to fix him but he made it worse, his arm fell right off! Its because Pippo is a doggy and Papa is a doctor for humans! But You’re an animal doctor right? You can fix him!
