Also known as the Mothwing Podfic Project.
What is this project? Mothwing is a deeply beloved character within the Warriors fandom for her intricate characterization throughout the series (strongly centering around her atheistic beliefs and later distrust of their religion). In the upcoming book, Star (A Starless Clan book 6), the plot line of her becoming RiverClan's next leader is highly possible. While the book is unlikely to fully explore the depths of what this would mean for a character like her, this fic has aimed to enrich what that experience may be like. The aim of this project is to bring this idea to even more life and provide an audio reading of it for people to enjoy and listen to, with another goal of shining more light onto just how complex and fascinating Mothwing can be as a character. The goal is to keep this as nothing overly complicated, and to have it completed before November (when the aforementioned book is released).
The completed project will be posted to Youtube, Soundcloud, and Ao3.
Story synopsis - Set in the world of Warriors following the current arc of A Starless Clan, the central plot around the leaderless status of RiverClan, one of the five warriors clans around the lake, finally comes to an end when Frostpaw, the medicine cat apprentice of RiverClan, declares Mothwing as their leader. For seasons (years), Mothwing has served as RiverClan’s medicine cat, one that originally did not believe in StarClan (the afterlife the clans believe in, which communicate very closely with medicine cats and is included as a major part of their duties) and even after their existence is proven to her still distrusts them. Because of this, she goes through the many emotions that follow her facing her past, present, and the potential of the future.

The 'script' for this is not a traditional script but is instead a color coded version of the fanfiction. All lines you will be reading will correspond with the color your character was given at the top of the document. If this is something you are not willing to do for whatever reason, please refrain from auditioning.
