Survivors Animated (Erin Hunter series)
Project Overview
Hi y'all! I thought I'd make the Survivor books by erin hunter into an animated series. This will be a big and long project that might take years even, that Is what I've planned anyway.
There will be more characters to audition for in the future, I just have the mains here for now, and side characters will be made up for a thicker plot.

This series will very heavily contain parts of the books, but I will not be following every page word for word and will be taking my own takes on the series.
The Survivor Series is a book based on dogs; the main protagonist, Lucky, is a stray dog in a city full of other dogs and Long paws (humans) , although life is rough, it isn't to bad.
The story will start off with Yap, his littermates, and mother telling them a story about the "Storm of dogs", a great battle that happened long ago. Yap and his littermates are frightened, but are comforted by their mother's presence and each fall asleep, cuddling up near each other for warmth.
Yap is the name given by his mother, but with age every dog gets to a point where they choose their own names, Yap chose Lucky.
in the present, Yap, now Lucky, is shown brought in to a Trap House (A dog shelter), he is taken to a cage and locked in.
Lucky observes this new area, seemingly fine with what has just happened to him. He spots a beautiful greyhound across from him in a seperate cage, desperately searching for a way out. He decides to spark a conversation with her, and gets to know her a bit, She isn't from the area and is a wild dog, and is named Sweet.
Suddenly, the earth began to shake, the other dogs panic and bark, but Lucky escapes and tries to help out Sweet, but before they can save any more the building starts collapsing, and they end up escaping together alone.
That should give you an idea for what I'm going for with this project, There is a lot more to the story and it will be a fairly big project to work on, so I'll need all the help I can get.

I need LOTS of somewhat experienced animators, although the animation style won't need to be smooth, a bit choppy/visually interesting is what I'm going for, I'll be giving examples through my own art and animations although I myself am slowly improving just like everyone else
If you apply for this role you need to consider the time and effort you might be putting in, if you aren't able to take on so much at once I don't think this job is for you.
I've been in a few animated projects and although I love that kind of work I've seen how easily animators get overworked or don't put in enough effort and I wouldn't want either of those things, I want this to be something fun yet a bit challenging for yall, if your up for this kind of work please join us!
Also, you'll need to be fairly confident when copying a certain style, I adore MAPs, but for this animation I'd prefer it to be more consistent! Again, if this isn't for you and you aren't up for it, that's okay, I know this won't be for everyone.

Main Male Protagonist
Lucky is a big, shaggy, golden-and-cream male Sheltie-Retriever mix with thick fur, strong, Long legs, a golden tail, dark eyes, and a graying muzzle
I imagine his voice to be something similar to Sal Fischer from Sally Face.
He's a kind, soft caring mutt who prefers to be a loner.
No accents required, although I imagine him with some kind of City folk accent, like new York. Feel free to try out though even without an Accent :)

One of the main female protagonists
Bella
a long-legged golden-and-white female Sheltie-Retriever mix with large, dark, golden eyes, thick, shaggy, golden, sleek fur, a long snout, & a sleek, narrow head.
Bella is a confident, temperamental, clever she dog who often jumps to conclusions easily. I can imagine her voice being more proper then Luckys due to their past differences.
She was raised as a leash dog, so she's a bit spoiled and a diva.

(Neutral) I'll search the forest and see if I can find anything to hunt, ok?
(Sad) I.. I can't believe you just did that! I thought you were better..
Lucky's main love interest/another main protagonist
Sweet is a thin, fragile-looking,[9] lean female Greyhound with smooth, velvety, pale tan-gray fur, a narrow, long face, a long nose, a soft, sleek, short-furred coat, a sleek, slender head, a slender, sleek, creamy-white muzzle, long, thin, slender legs, a light, slender frame, big, large, wide, soft, dark brown eyes, narrow hindquarters, soft, velvety ears, slender, light paws, a sleek, narrow body, pointed chops, white teeth, a thin tail, and a long neck.
The main love interest for Lucky
Sweet is a kind, determined, intelligent she who's quite loyal to those who have gained her trust.
I imagine her voice being soft and sweet, calming.

(Neutral) I didn't realize foxes could be so cunning, hah
(Angry/scared) How could you! I trusted you with everything I had.
Side protagonist
Martha is a massive, sleek, large and tall, burly, thick-furred black female Newfoundland with large webbed paws. She had a broad, shaggy head, a bushy, thick, feathery tail, sturdy legs, a large, jowly, dark face, and dark eyes. She also has a very gentle expression. Martha was nurturing and caring when it came to pups.
Martha is a loving loyal she with a motherly demeanor, she's often caring for young and making sure they're safe. I imagine her voice to be heavy yet kind and loving.
(Soft and reassuring) It's okay little ones, your safe with me.
(Neutral) I'll take half, and give the rest to the pups.
(Angry/scared) I-im sorry! I didn't know, I swear..
A male side protagonist
Bruno was a sturdy, bushy, large, heavy, shaggy, thick furred brown, male German Shepherd-Chow mix with black patches, a hard, pointed bulky face, and a heavy, big, burly, thick-set, muscular body, long forelegs, big paws, a feathery tail, and a long, dark, pointed, whiskery muzzle.
Bruno is a calm, honest, vigilant male with a big appetite. I can imagine his voice being rough and possibly country sounding.

A very minor role
Old Hunter is a big, stocky male bull mastiff with a blunt muzzle, powerful legs, and missing fur hidden around his neck.
Old hunter is a tough older dog who used to be a leash dog but left to be on the streets, he became friends with Lucky when he was younger but grew apart after a while.
I imagine his voice being gruff and sickly sounding.

A female side protagonist
Sunshine is a delicate, small, white female Maltese with long, glossy, thick, silky fur, a little black button nose, round, tiny, dark, black button-eyes; small teeth, short legs, small paws, a fluffy head and a knotted, tangled, bedraggled, fluffy tail.
Sunshine is a kind, hopeful she who is fairly emotional and hysterical at times.
She was originally a leash dog.
I can imagine her voice being high pitched yet caring.

(Angry/sad) I can't believe this nonsense! I believed you!!
A male side protagonist
Mickey is a thick-furred, sleek black-and-white male Farm-Dog with long fur, huge, dark brown eyes, black pointed ears, a long black-and-white snout, a fluffy tail, and black-and-white paws.
Mickey is a kind, optimistic, intelligent male with a big heart. I can imagine his voice being very upbeat.

(Angry/sad) I.. I can't believe it didn't work. I can't do this anymore!
If any of the roles before you didn't stand out or won't work for you, try auditioning for some side characters! Most will be minor roles. But still important :)
