Humans have started eating stars which in turn causes the night sky to get darker. A young boy working at a star fast food restaurant upon seeing the darkening sky, wants to make a change.
Hi everyone! My name is Cat and I'm an final year Australian
animation student creating my thesis film, Starter. In this short animated film, estimated around 3-4 minutes, I'd like to show that change is possible regardless of who you are. We follow Aster and Sol, a pair of burger patty flippers. Sol is overwhelmed seeing the mass consumption of stars and worries about when they'll run out. Raising this concern with Aster, he's confused. There are so many stars in the sky, how could they run out? That is, until he sees the sky getting darker as the stars get pulled out of the sky. Together they forumlate a plan to spread awareness and it's the small starter for perhaps even bigger change.

🌟 What I'm looking for
I am looking for 2 main character voice actors [Less than 10 lines each] and 1 side character voice actor [1 line]. A main voice actor may be asked to voice a side character if see fit. All voice actors will be credited at the end of my film (Unless otherwise requested)
📣 What I ask of you
- Please submit clean recordings on preferably prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- I don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice).
- I may ask for line re-dos, this workshopping is only to ensure the voice acting fits the envisioned character and mood of the film.
- Final deliverables are preferred in .wav
- Communication will be through Discord.

Timeline
The deadline for the audition is February 19th, with final voice acting finalised late March.
The deadline for my short film is late June 2023.
