Star Wars Legends: Jango Fett (RECASTING)

Star Wars Legends: Jango Fett (RECASTING)

Project Overview

Whats going on here?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we need a replacement actor for Jango Fett. That role will reopen until the 31st of Jan!

What exactly is this project?

Many of you have listened or heard of my other Star Wars Audio Drama Series. With over 10,000 downloads and 400+ followers and counting, we decided it was time to tell another story at the same time!

This time around, we are going to be telling the story of Jango Fett. From his life as a Mandalorian Warrior, to his life as a Bounty Hunter and host template of the Republic Army. This will be based off "Legends" material as always, from outlets like the Bounty Hunter video game, and the Jango Fett comics. It will mostly be an adaption of the game, but will also cover some events prior to and afterwards.

About my Star Wars Audio Dramas

I wanted to make something new and different. I'm sure many of you can recall the old Star Wars: Radio Show,  which came on the radio, and was essentially a telling of the film without the visuals. I wanted to make an AudioBook without the book, so that the listener could just curl up on the couch, or in bed and just let their imagination guide them. It's what a lot of us did, especially as kids. It is what made Star Wars so fun. So, we want this to be as immersive as possible, with soundtrack, sound effects and of course, amazing and talented voice actors!

As is with all our Audio Dramas, we want this to be something you can listen to at breakfast, lunch, dinner or before bed. Something you can listen to on the go, or at home.

THIS ROUND OF AUDITIONS will be open ONLY FOR THE LEAD ROLES FOR THE SEASON, AND THE SUPPORT ROLES FOR THE FIRST HANDFUL OF EPISODES

Anyone who Auditions for a Lead Role or Narrator Role is bound to the role for the entirety of that character's involvement in the series.

MULTIPLE AUDITIONS ARE ENCOURAGED :)

Deadline is January 18th, 2019 @11:59PM PST!

We are looking to complete and release the Pilot Episode before February 28th, 2019 and release it on Youtube, SoundCloud, PodBean, iTunes and other Podcast sites!

Ever since I played the game, Bounty Hunter, on the Nintendo Gamecube, I have been fascinated with Jango Fett and his past. It certainly is an interesting one that has not been explored enough besides through comics and one video game.

You must have:

- Discord for communication, updates and to send me lines, as well as to keep in contact.

- A decent microphone (Must have minimal feedback and background noise, and the audio must sound decent at best)

-Be flexible with recording days. Most likely they will just be whenever everyone who is needed is open, so contact me and we for sure will work together a time that works best for the both of us :)

Have fun auditioning, and May the Force be with you!

Jango Fett was a renowned Mandalorian bounty hunter, assassin, mercenary, and the "father" of Boba Fett, a genetic clone of his, whom he raised as a son. A Human from Concord Dawn, Fett was adopted by Mandalorian warriors following the murder of his parents and the disappearance of his older sister Arla in 58 BBY. Years later, he would go on to lead them through much of the Mandalorian Civil War as Mandalore. After being imprisoned by Jedi, Fett was responsible for destroying the Death Watch, a Mandalorian group who killed Fett's mentor, Jaster Mereel.

Following the conclusion of that conflict, Fett became a bounty hunter, quickly establishing a reputation as being one of the best in the galaxy. Later on, Fett agreed to serve as the genetic template for the clonesthat would form the bulk of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. When Master Obi-Wan Kenobi located Jango and Boba on Kamino, Fett fled to join Count Dooku. Though struck down by Mace Windu in combat, Fett's legacy would live on through his son Boba, as well as his cloned brethren, who would have a profound impact on galactic history.

  • Don't write me off until you watch me die, face to face.

  • That's not your call to make! You left him out there to die! You are not fit to lead us!

  • I gave you a chance and you blew it. You can sit there and think about what you've done. I've got a bounty to hunt.

Taken from the Star Wars Wiki

Montross was a Mandalorian–turned–bounty hunter who competed with Jango Fett to become the template for the clone troopers of the Galactic Republic. Originally one of Jaster Mereel's True Mandalorians, Montross fought in the Mandalorian Civil War, where he was known for his brutal tactics and acts of recklessness. When a young boy called Jango Fett joined the Mandalorians and was treated like a son by Mereel, Montross was angered by Mereel's favoritism of Fett and became contemptuous of him. In an engagement on Korda Six, Montross left Mereel to die. He attempted to claim the title of Mandalore, but was thwarted by Fett, who told the true story of Mereel's death to the other Mandalorians, took over, and banished Montross.

Montross became a bounty hunter; known for his ruthlessness, he almost never took a live bounty. In 32 BBY, he and Fett, now also a bounty hunter, were selected by the ex-Jedi Count Dooku to participate in a hunt to capture or kill the leader of the Bando Gora cult, Dooku's former apprentice Komari Vosa. Montross did battle with Fett on Coruscant and Malastare, then later set about tracking the other bounty hunter to lead him to Vosa's lair. After killing Fett's friend and contact Rozatta, Montross learned that the Bando Gora headquarters was on the graveyard moon of Kohlma. On that world he once again fought with Fett and was defeated, before being torn to shreds by the Bando Gora.

  • Don't be a sore loser. It's just business, old buddy... Hahahahaha!

  • The money means nothing. The thrill of the hunt drives me. The moment my prey begs for mercy. The moment I take his life.

  • Damn you Fett! YOU are the one who is not fit to lead us! You'll lead all the Mandalorians to their deaths!

Taken from the Star Wars Wiki

Dooku was a Jedi Master who fell to the dark side of the Force and became a Dark Lord of the Sith, known as Darth Tyranus. Born into a noble family on the planet Serenno, he was the heir to vast wealth and the noble title of Count. Dooku was taken by the Jedi Order as a child and apprenticed to Thame Cerulian. As a Jedi Knight, he took Qui-Gon Jinn as his first Padawan, and later trained Komari Vosa. Dooku was a respected instructor in the Jedi Temple and one of the most renowned swordsmen in the galaxy, surpassed only by Grandmaster Yoda and equal to Master Mace Windu.

Dooku spent nearly seventy years as a Jedi, but a disastrous battle on Galidraan shook his faith in the Order and the Galactic Republic. He fell under the influence of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine of Naboo, and left the Jedi Order. After learning that Palpatine was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Dooku turned to the dark side and became a Dark Lord of the Sith himself, replacing Darth Maul as Sidious's second apprentice. His new master bestowed upon him the Sith title of Darth Tyranus.

Reclaiming his birthright as Count of Serenno and his vast fortune, Dooku conspired with Sidious to force the galaxy into a war that would bring the Sith to power. He forged ties between corporations and planets discontented with the Republic, and became the leader of the Separatist movement that coalesced into the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Thousands of star systems flocked to Dooku's banner and seceded from the Galactic Republic. Dooku also was tasked by Darth Sidious to recruit a suitable host for their clone army. He set a competition, by marking his former apprentice, Komari Vosa, now turned evil, with a 5 million credit bounty, attracting Bounty Hunters Jango Fett and Montross, with Fett ultimately winning the competition.

  • Greetings Jango Fett. I am Tyranus, I have a proposition for you...

  • What if I told you, that the senate was now under the influence of a dark lord called, Darth Sidious?

Taken from the Star Wars Wiki

Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, was a Force-sensitiveHuman male who served as the last Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and the first Emperor of the Galactic Empire. A Dark Lord of the Sith in the Order of the Sith Lords, recorded by history as the most powerful who had ever lived, his entire life was the culmination of a thousand-year plan to overthrow the Republic and the Jedi Order from within.

Born in 82 BBY on the planet Naboo to the aristocratic House Palpatine, Palpatine discovered the Sith at a young age as a collector of dark side artifacts. In 65 BBY, he met Hego Damask, a Muunbusinessman who was in reality the Sith Lord Darth Plagueis. Under Plagueis's manipulation, Palpatine killed his father and pledged himself to his new Master's dark side teachings as Darth Sidious. Palpatine lived a double life for many years, serving an untarnished career as Naboo's ambassador in the Galactic Senate while learning from his master and training a young Zabrak as the Sith assassinDarth Maul. Plagueis and Sidious, both exceptionally skilled and powerful in the Force, were able to conceal their identities from the Jedi for decades. As Plagueis privately searched for the key to eternal life, Sidious manipulated galactic politics, culminating in the blockadeof Naboo by the Trade Federation. In the wake of the political crisis, the Galactic Senate voted to elect him as Supreme Chancellor, and around the same time, in accordance with Bane's Rule of Two, Sidious murdered Plagueis and usurped the role of Sith Master.

As Chancellor of the Republic and Dark Lord of the Sith, Palpatine orchestrated the outbreak of the devastating Clone Wars ten yearsafter the Naboo Crisis. He himself headed both the Galactic Republic and, secretly, the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The public leader of this splinter faction was former Jedi Master Count Dooku, Sidious' second apprentice as Darth Tyranus in the wake of Maul's presumed death on Naboo. As billions perished in the war, the vast majority of Republic citizens rallied behind Chancellor Palpatine, giving him enough support to amend the Galactic Constitution in the name of security and transfer most of the Senate's executive authority to his own office. In 19 BBY, following Tyranus' demise, Palpatine revealed his identity as Darth Sidious to the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, telling that the dark side teachings that Plagueis had pursued could help Skywalker to save his wife, whom Skywalker had foreseen dying untimely. A failed attempt by the Jedi High Council to arrest Palpatine ensued, and Skywalker pledged himself to Sidious' teachings as Darth Vader. All members of the Jedi Order were accused of treason and betrayed by their clone troopers to the point of virtual extermination. Without the Jedi to oppose him, Palpatine declared himself Emperor of the first Galactic Empire, bringing an end to the Republic that had stood for over 25,000 years.

  • The Bando Gora has become a dangerous parasite. I believe you had the opportunity to eliminate it's leader before. Why did you not take it?

  • Our clones will require a host. You must find a suitable specimen. Preferably from the galaxy's most ruthless mercenaries.

  • This is not the first time you have proven to be clumsy, Lord Tyranus.  You know the price of failure...

Taken from the Star Wars Wiki

Komari Vosa, a Force-sensitive Human female, was a fallen Jedi who served as leader of the Bando Gora during the final years of the Galactic Republic. A former Padawan of Jedi Master Dooku, who remembered Vosa as an excellent pupil, Vosa ultimately turned to the dark side of the Force following her banishment from the Jedi Order. Amassing an army of mindless slaves and assassins, Vosa became a cult leader whose influence reached across the galaxy, allowing her to establish connections with powerful crime lords such as the Hutt Cartelor the Dugs of Malastare.

As her influence expanded, Vosa came to the attention of Darth Sidious—the Dark Lord of the Sith who conspired to topple the Republic from within. Viewing the former Jedi as a threat to his own plans for the future, the Sith Lord ordered her termination. The execution of this task was entrusted to Sidious' new Sith apprentice, Darth Tyranus, who was in fact Dooku, the Jedi Master that trainedVosa prior to his own experience falling from the light side of the Force. Rather than killing Vosa in person, Tyranus opted to place a bounty on his fallen apprentice. A mercenary who was skilled enough to defeat a warrior trained in the ways of the Force would, as Tyranus reasoned, make an ideal template for the clone army in development on Kamino.

The contest was ultimately won by Jango Fett, one of the bounty hunters whom Tyranus hired to hunt and neutralize Vosa for the reward of five million credits. After tracking Vosa to her citadel on Kohlma, one of the moons of Bogden, Fett defeated the leader of the Bando Gora in spite of her Force powers and lightsaber skills. Tyranus, who witnessed the battle from the shadows, asphyxiated Vosa by way of the Force and subsequently persuaded Fett to be cloned. In the years following Vosa's death, her lightsabers were given to Asajj Ventress, a Separatist assassin who aspired to join the ranks of the Sith with Tyranus as her mentor.

  • My powers are far greater than any of your, barbaric weapons.

  • The Bando Gora have ways of weakening your mind and breaking your will. Soon, you will be my slave, bounty hunter.

  • Kill them. Kill them now. Bring me their bodies...

Zam Wesell was a shapeshifting Clawdite bounty hunter from the planet Zolan. In her true form, Wesell was a reptilian-like humanoid, although she often appeared as a Human woman with short blonde or bronze-colored hair. She trained in the ways of the Mabari warriors on her homeworldbefore eventually being labeled a heretic and fleeing to the commercial center of Denon. To escape, Wesell took the form of a human woman and took a job in personal security. Over time, she moved up through the ranks by honing her skills, gathering equipment, garnering finances and making valuable contacts which altogether allowed her to begin a career in bounty hunting.

Wesell first encountered the bounty hunter Jango Fett in 32 BBYduring his search for Bando Gora outlaw leader Komari Vosa. After assisting Fett in his scheme to defeat Vosa, the two began to develop a friendship that was propagated by their periodic partnership on various contracts. One such contract arose in 27 BBY when the two bounty hunters were seeking the Infant of Shaa ancient artifact and superweapon on behalf of the Dug Fernooda. Originally pitted against each other, the pair agreed to work together to capture the idol. It was then revealed to Wesell that a seedy underworld general planned to use it to destroy the Republic capital world of Coruscant. At Wesell's lead, Fett joined in the hunt to retrieve the artifact and save Coruscant. During this incident, Wesell made use of her developed shapeshifting abilities. This skill was also employed in her other exploits, such as the hunt for Kuati Hurlo Holowan, which was subcontracted by Jango Fett

  • I've heard of you, ya know. I'm Zam Wessel.

  • I saw a few of those Bando Gora crawling around... They really give me the creeps...

Bane employed a variety of weapons and allies to ensure that he always got his pay, and he became the leader in his line of work after fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett perishedin the opening battle of the war. His renown attracted the attention of Count Dooku and even the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, the latter of whom employed him numerous times for his own means. Working for Sidious, Bane stole a Jedi holocron from the Jedi Templeto unlock the Kyber memory crystal, a repository of all recorded Force-sensitive infants in the galaxy. After pilfering the crystal from Jedi Master Bolla Ropal on Devaron and forcing Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to unlock it, Bane was sent to kidnap four of the infants listed in the crystal. Jaster Mereel was a male Human born on the Outer Rim world of Concord Dawn. Mereel served as a Journeyman Protector, one of the planet's respected lawkeepers, until the day when his strong morals led him to kill a corrupt superior officer. Charged with murder, Mereel was exiled from Concord Dawn, going on to join the Mandalorians. An accomplished soldier, Mereel's prowess in battle earned him the respect of his supercommando peers, and he would eventually go on to become Mand'alor, the leader of all the Mandalorian clans, and the Al'Ori'Ramikade—"Commander of Supercommandos". As Mand'alor, Mereel issued a new guideline for Mandalorian behavior known as the Supercommando Codex in which he asserted that the Mandalorians who wished to fight would simply be highly-paid soldiers, and should conduct themselves as honorable mercenaries.

Mereel would face opposition to his reforms both from the peaceful New Mandalorian faction, and the more dangerous Death Watch, a violent splinter group formed by the followers of Mereel's rival, Tor Vizsla. A civil war broke out between the Death Watch and the supercommandos loyal to Mereel, the early years of which would see Mereel's return to his home planet, where he saved the life of a local farmer's son, Jango Fett, when the Death Watch attacked the boy's home. Taking Fett in following the death of his family, Mereel raised the boy as a his son until the fateful Battle of Korda Six. His body was carried back to the Mandalorians' landing zone by Fett, where Montross was exposed as a traitor and Fett succeeded his adoptive father as the new Mand'alor, in accordance with what Mereel would have wanted.

Taken from the Star Wars Wiki

Tor Vizsla was a male Human Mandalorian warrior and the first leaderof the Death Watch faction during the Mandalorian Civil War. He founded the splinter group following Jaster Mereel's ascension to Mandalore—leader of the Mandalorians—in 60 BBY in direct competition against Mereel's promulgation of the Supercommando Codex. While Mereel sought to root out what he saw as immoral banditry that had taken hold among the Mandalorians, Vizsla wished to continue their marauding ways, with the ultimate goal of starting a new Mandalorian War and conquering the galaxy in the name of his forefathers. To this end, he and his supporters waged war against Mereel's True Mandalorians for several years, with heavy casualties on both sides, until Vizsla was seemingly killed on Concord Dawn.

Vizsla and the Death Watch later reappeared on Korda Six where he managed to trap the True Mandalorians and kill Mereel as the Mandalore was betrayed by his second-in-command, forcing the True Mandalorians to retreat. After several more years in hiding, he laid another trap for the True Mandalorians and Mereel's successor, Jango Fett, in which a strike team of Jedi were manipulated into slaughteringVizsla's enemies for him. The only survivor of the battle, Fett was sold into slavery and spent several years aboard a spice transport. He managed to escape, however, and recovered a suit of Mandalorian armor from Galidraan. Fett then hunted Vizsla to Corellia where Fett destroyed Vizsla's ship, the Death Rattle, and fought Vizsla hand-to-hand on the planet's surface. Vizsla injected Fett with a poison to knock him out, but before he lost consciousness, Fett slashed open Vizsla's stomach. Attracted by the scent of blood, a pack of dire-catsattacked, killing and devouring Vizsla, leaving Fett to wake up the following day, unharmed.
