Soup ! (A Short Film)
Project Overview
Soup ! Is an animated short film project for my animation class final. The story is about main character, Cove, who is craving ramen, more specifically, his boyfriend Avery's recipe. The story consists of 4 main characters: Cove, Avery, Athena and Rowan. Over the next few weeks, this project will be open for auditions as we need voice actors ASAP!!! A script and more info on characters will be given once VA's are selected. The final video will be posted on YouTube once finished, you will be included within the credits! All art belongs to BijouBuns on Instagram. Please read rules below before auditioning, thanks!
RULES:
No homophobia as most if not all characters featured are lgbtq+.
No racism as this film includes a lot of poc.
No NSFW. This is a school project... please don't be weird.
Don't be upset if you aren't picked!
Any other common sense stuff. Don't be weird. <3

Cove Takeda is a 20 year old Japanese and Ukrainian male. He uses He/Him pronouns and is Bisexual. He's a soft spoken, warm toned guy, but also has a pretty sharp tongue when it comes to his sense of humor. He's a surfer/lifeguard who enjoys spending his free time playing video games and hanging out with his friends.
[A similar voice claim would be Deckard from Bee and Puppycat]
For the lines below... Please read them with these tones:
1) "Hey, I'm Cove. Uh.. I work as a lifeguard and um.. I guess yeah..?" [Read this in an awkward tone, as if you were tasked to do an introduction on the spot. Cove would find this awkward and probably not know what to say.]
2) "Hey, could I get a large iced strawberry green tea and a croissant to go please." [Read this as if you're giving an order at a café. Be casual though as Cove's friends are the ones working so no need to be overly awkward.]
3) "Hey Avery, what time do you get off work today?" [Read this as if you are talking to someone over the phone. Avery is Cove's partner, so you should sound comfortable when speaking.]

Avery Mitchell is a 21 year old Afro-Latino male. He uses He/Him pronouns and is Gay. He has a mid-deep, warm and rustic voice with a soft rasp. He's generally outgoing and fairly cheerful. He speaks both English but also knows Spanish due to being Afro-Latino. He's a barista at the local café and enjoys cooking and baking as well as playing guitar.
[Similar voice claim would be Pope from outer banks... so bonus if you do/can sound similar!]
For the lines below... Please read them with these tones:
1) "Hey there, I'm Avery Mitchell, and I'm a full time barista at Saint's." [A basic introduction. Due to Avery being outgoing, he'd had no trouble telling you about himself.]
2) "Hey, welcome to Saint's! What can I get you for today?" [A warm welcome to the café and asking what the customer would like.]
3) "C'mon Dougie! Let's go for a walk." [Avery is calling over his dog. Act excited as if you are talking to a pet.]

Athena is a 21 year old Black female. She uses She/Her pronouns and is Lesbian. She has a sweet but sarcastic, mid toned voice. She's a mature person but also likes to tease her friends. She's a barista at the café and spends her free time drawing and playing video games.
[Similar voice claim would be Quinn from Final Space.]
For the lines below... Please read using these tones:
1) "Hi.. uh, I'm Athena and I work at the café." [ A general introduction. She'd probably be a little confused.]
2) "Dude, why would I know? Why don't you ask him?" [On the phone with Cove (her friend), He's asking her a dumb question so she'd sound a little dumbfounded but also not harsh. Might even chuckle or scoff in a humorous way.]
3) "Ha! I win again! Wow Rowan, you really DO suck! " [She's playing online FPS games with her friend Rowan. He loses so she laughs at him for it. Funny/friendly banter and teasing.]
