Sonic The Hedgehog IDW (Motion Comic) - Character Recasts
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION:
Hello, everyone; I'm back with yet another Casting Call for the Sonic IDW comic! I know you're sick of seeing these (To be honest I'm getting sick of making them -_-) But due to some cast departures and some actors going MIA, I'm recasting several characters!

THE STORY:
Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends live on a planet named Earth inhabited by anthropomorphic animals like themselves and humans, which is constantly under threat from the evil human scientist Dr. Eggman, who wants to take over with his army of Badniks and establish the Eggman Empire.

PAYMENT:
Payment will be distributed after I receive the actors' finalized lines. Payment is also subject to change between issues, though expect them to range between $5-$15. Roles with "Deferred" will still be paid, the tag just means they're so far in the future it's hard to gauge payment now.
GUIDELINES:
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise. If it has noticeable background noise, it will not be considered and will be immediately dismissed.
Meeting deadlines is important, but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline! We can work things out as long as there is communication.
Communication is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, then I will be forced to let someone else take the role.
DON'T SLATE!
Knowledge of the comics isn't a requirement, but it does help! Especially for the original IDW characters!
Occasionally, I may ask if we can get into a call to do lines with some live directing. This will not happen for every single batch of lines, but expect it to happen occasionally, especially if you're part of the main cast.
Please provide at least 2 takes per character! Preferably in AABBCC format.
If you choose to add an effect to your audition, leave in the unedited takes as well.
Must have Zelle, or Paypal, as these will be what I use to distribute payment.
Some roles will already have been filled by me and other actors! If the character isn't on the list, please don't DM me and ask if they're available.
If you don't have Discord, that's completely ok, but it does make things easier if you do.

CHARACTER DESC:
Omega's only goals in life are to take revenge on Dr. Eggman for wasting his potential and destroy the doctor's other robots to prove himself superior. These two goals are absolute above all else in Omega's eyes. As a result, he tends to be extremely headstrong, reckless, aggressive, and destructive - decimating anything that gets in his way. If you add a voice effect, add in the take without the effect as well.

CHARACTER DESC:
Vanilla is a calm and composed woman, never raising her voice. Like her daughter, she is nice and kind to others, and always ready to help those in need.

(With a threating but calm tone) Cream dear, I seem to have missed some things.

CHARACTER DESC:
Known to have always sought prestige and riches, Mimic—in keeping with his shapeshifting abilities—is an ominous, sinister, manipulative, remorseless, cunning and violent sociopath with scant regard for anyone other than himself; though a part of him deep inside seems to regret what he's done to past allies. He does not believe in higher ideals, claiming that heroes become martyrs while professionals stay alive. He also is highly untruthful and treacherous, delighting in deceiving others and betraying whoever he is currently aligned with if it suits his purposes.

Could just be my Spider-man fan side talking due to his similarities with the Chameleon, but I think a Russian accent would fit him well.

(Sinister/With a smile) Rest in peace Whisper, it was fun while it lasted.
(Talking about the team he betrayed) I was just in it to reap the rewards. When their big crusade put my life on the line, it wasn't a difficult choice. Heroes become martyrs, professionals stay alive.
(Doing some introspection on himself/Emotionally charged) Did I just crave validation? Was it ever about the spotlight? I can't be myself around them. They don't know what I've done...Friendship is supposed to feel good, solid, like a foundation. So why does it hurt **so much!?**
ROLE: SIDE
CHARACTER DESC:
Clutch is a highly collected, highly intelligent, and composed individual. Never showing any inclination of shock or surprise, he is extremely adept at keeping his emotions in check. He is also quite sly in his mannerisms and is not truly afraid of interacting with anyone. However, his calmness also makes him very intimidating; while he does not express his anger emotionally, he makes it evidently clear with firm statements and piercing glares.

(Proudly explaining his evil plot with a grin) I'm a businessman on the cusp of an aggressive venture! Clean Sweep Inc. is my way of getting into places others cannot. We clean up all those nasty robots and weapons Dr. Eggman leaves behind in his conquests...and quietly amass resources and an aresenal beyond comprehension.
(Menacing/Threateningly towards his henchmen-) Now that you've had a little taste of the limelight, you've come to see our little arrangement as a **burden**, is that it? But here's the thing about the fame you're enjoying, its not yours. I made you heroes because that's what I needed. I can make you monsters just as easily.
(Continuing on from the last lines context/With a fake smile) Aw cheer up! You get the glory, the fame- Hey, you even get to be a little violent now and then! All you have to do is maintain appearances. You SHOULD be thanking me.
ROLE: Minor
CHARACTER DESC:
Tumble is a course and aggressive skunk. Ruthless, cruel, and violent,he takes great pleasure in terrorizing and taking advantage of those weaker than himself. Some semblance of a Brooklyn accent is a REQUIREMENT for this goofy henchman

(Full of rage and goofy emotion) YOU CAN'T DO THAT! RYHMING IS **OUR** THING!
- On the B-Team you'll be chosen to sub in for editors from the main team who either can't finish their scenes or aren't able to pick up one at all. Adhering to deadlines is very important for this role, only audition if you're ready to work for the project!
DESC:
We're looking for video editors who know how to edit motion comics! You'll need to know how to mess around with the panels directly, such as isolating specific panels, adding black borders to panels, whitening out words, etc. I want the videos we put out to stand out visually, and I want the visual flair added to be just as much of a reason people want to tune in on top of the amazing voice cast. Things like a bright light flashing if a laser is shot, the screen shaking when there's a heavy impact, engaging transitions between panels, etc. If you've got examples of work when you've edited things similar to what I just mentioned, you'll definitely be considered. Several people will be chosen for this role to make the visual editing process as efficient as possible. Since the IDW comics can be very dynamic and chaotic with its paneling, especially during action scenes, we're looking for people who know what they're doing when it comes to comic editing specifically. it!
