Rouge the Batis aMobianBat who is both a part-timegovernmentagent and occasional jewel thief. She occasionally works as a spy directly under thePresidentofStation Squareand is often involved in events concerningG.U.N.. She also tends to get involved in illegal activities, as she has an affinity for adventure and gems. Rouge has been known to work with heroes and villains alike, including theChaotixandDr. Eggman, as long as she gains something out of it. Rouge later joinedTeam Darkand began working directly under G.U.N. along withShadow the HedgehogandE-123 Omega.

Fiona Foxwas originally one of the many victims ofDr. Ivo Robotnik's rise to power. As a child she was left in prison, accidentally abandoned bySonic the HedgehogandMighty the Armadillo, resulting in a grudge held against them. Upon escaping, Fiona led a life of treasure hunting and other petty crimes until, following Sonic's apparent death, she attempted to turn over a new leaf by joining theKnothole Freedom Fighters. In time, however, Fiona gravitated back towards her old ways, and ultimately decided that she preferred the darker side of life. To this end, Fiona fell in love with Sonic'sMoebiuscounterpart,Scourge the Hedgehog, becoming his girlfriend, and later Queen of Moebius itself following Scourge's takeover. As a member of theSuppression Squad, she took part in the invasion ofMobius Prime, but following the rest of the Suppression Squad's mutiny against her and Scourge, she fled the scene, only to hire what was left of theDestructixand later rejoin her boyfriend.

Rotor Walruswas a key member of theKnothole Freedom Fighters, using his skills and knowledge of technology and mechanics to provide theMobianswith an edge against the former despotDr. Ivo Robotnikand, since his demise, theforcesofDr. Eggman. FollowingSonic the Hedgehog's return from outer space, Rotor had limited his involvement with field operations and stuck to providing data and technological assistance. In 3237, he was voted in as a member of the newCouncil of Acorn. However, whenIxis Naugus' manipulations resulted inNICOLEbeing unjustly banished fromNew Mobotropolis, Rotor immediately resigned from the Council in disgust and returned to full field duty as the leader of the newTeam Freedom.
