Project Overview

Lilian is annoyed that she has to watch over her little brother Jimmy at the local skate park. She would rather be shopping with her friends but she's stuck with babysitting duty for the day. It seems as though she’s always mad at someone or something. That is until she comes in contact with someone she wants to impress, then her personality does a full 180. In this case, it's Jonah, one of the captains of the high school football team and Lilian's big crush. He's on babysitting duty as well and Lilian sees an opportunity to get closer to him. Unlike this sweet guy, his little sister, Mariah, and Jimmy both see through her act.

I will voice Jimmy.

This is a little fun project to get to network with fellow voice actors like myself and share the joy in creating characters, stories, and bringing them to life.

If you would like to see how this short audio drama will be formed, there are similar videos on my YouTube channel that will give you an idea about how I use the voice lines, background noise, and other sounds.

I do have a preference for XLR microphones. However, I do understand that their are plenty of people who are just starting their voice acting journey, so USB microphones ae okay as long as there is little to no background noise or static noises.

    Hello, all! I want to thank everyone for auditioning for this little project! This is the first project I've done a casting call for and it makes me SO HAPPY to see that over 40 voice actors are interested in voicing one or more of these characters! As I mentioned in the description, this is a little fun project to get to network with fellow voice actors like myself and share the joy in creating characters, stories, and bringing them to life. There are 7 days left to audition. I was actually thinking about casting roles on the 14th or 15th since I have some pretty good candidates. But just in case there are some people who've just discovered the casting call, I'll wait until the 17th. Once again, thank you all <3

Think of your typical big sister who is annoyed that she has to watch over her little brother when she would rather be shopping with her friends. That’s Lilian for you.

She’s always mad at someone or something. But her attitude completely changes when she comes into contact with someone she wants to impress. In this case, it’s the popular football captain, Jonah.

Lilian is a medium-high in voice range. 

Kind of like Ibuki from Street Fighter 4.

  • (Arguing with her brother) 

    Listen you little runt! I don’t like this as much as you do but here we are. So why don’t you just make this easier on the both of us? Go skate around with the other brats and don’t bug me until I say it’s time to go!

  • (Surprised to see Jonah; Kind of nervous) 

    Jonah! H-H-Hey...heh heh…

  • (Says goodbye to Jonah and Mariah; then goes back to being mean to Jimmy) 

    Bye, Jonah! And Mariah, I hope to see you again! *Laughs* Hey, did you talk trash about me to Mariah during your little play date?!

Jonah is a sweetheart. You would think that being one of the captains of the high school football team, he would be a little cocky and kind of a jerk. But he doesn’t represent that stereotype, which is one of the reasons why Lilian has such a big crush on him besides the fact that he’s one of the popular kids at school.

Jonah is very protective of his little sister, Mariah, and since their parents are regularly out of the house on business, he plays a father/ brother role in her life.

For his character, I’m looking for a Medium-low voice range. Smooth and confident as well as caring and attentive.

  • (Finds out that she’s on babysitting duty just like him) 

    Well, well. What a coincidence. That’s the same reason we’re here. (Say teasingly) I’m tasked with keeping an eye on this little squirt.

  • (He laughs off Mariah’s comments on Lilian) 

    Ha! What does a squirt like you know about love? Tell ya what. When you grow a couple more inches and get a boyfriend of your own, I’ll take your advice, deal?

Mariah is a little 12 year-old  girl consisting of sass and spice. For you anime fans, think of her as a tsundere character. She loves her brother Jonah and endures his constant teasing because of it. She knows that he means well and that he thinks it’s cute when his little sister is angry. He finds it even cuter that she is so protective of him; specifically when it comes to the other females in his life. Jonah has dealt with girls who just want to be with him for the clout and Mariah doesn’t want him to get hurt. Which is why she raises an eyebrow at Lilian.

When it comes to her voice range, I’m looking for a medium-high to high pitch to voice her.

    She’s a good actor. Compared to the Lilian you told me about, this is a different person.
