Project Overview
Silvermoon Productions is returning in 2024 with a new machinima, 'The Sacred and the Sinful'!
Cassandra Thorne relishes her role as Leading Lady, but will new threats and old secrets tarnish her reputation beyond repair? And just how much can she trust her cast and crew?
The drama series draws inspiration from TV shows such as Revenge, The Morning Show, Desperate Housewives, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Selling Sunset and The Bold and the Beautiful.
The project is a scripted machinima and follows an episodic, melo-dramatic soap-opera format/style. The style of the project is similar to our previous machinima, 'Facade'. If you are looking for an idea of the style of the project, we would recommend watching an episode or two of 'Facade' on our YouTube channel.
There are 6 lead roles, 2 of which have voice actors tentatively attached to the roles at present. For roles which may be linked to a VA already, auditions are welcomed to identify whether you may be suitable for other roles in the project or as a reserve in the event tentative VAs are unable to commit.
There is an extensive list of supporting/recurring roles. New roles will be created and assigned if you are successful for one of these roles to ensure you are receiving credit for your role in the project.
We recognise our project is not paid, and as such we are considerate of VAs time and commitments. As such, we prefer to send out the scripts for the entire season and give VAs an opportunity to record their whole season and submit their work to us as a whole. This prevents us reaching out to you regularly to submit individual episodes, and it prevents the re-casting of VAs mid-way through the season.
We are aiming for an air date of May 2024. As such, we would offer VAs a month timeframe (April) to submit their lines. We can however be flexible if the desirable VA finds this challenging to aim for - we understand this is just for fun for most people!

Main character influences: Victoria Grayson (Revenge) and Erica Kane (All My Children)
Positives: Cassandra is unapologetically herself and confident in her approach. She has a lot of understandable emotional barriers to building meaningful connections, but those she does accept into her circle are fiercely protected. She is determined to achieve great things and avoid making similar mistakes to her parents.
Negatives: Cassandra can come across as stubborn, selfish and stuck up to those who don’t know her background. She can present as cold and at times sarcastic in conversation with people she doesn’t know or trust. She often has the best intentions, however is driven by her emotions which can lead to bad decision making. A lot of Cassandra’s self-esteem is tied up in the value she feels on her show, therefore if she feels her position as the leading lady, or the show in general, is under threat, she can become angry and irrational and schemes to prevent her fears from coming true. She has a tendency to mask her emotions with a cold exterior and fake smile, however when alone often “unmasks”.

Positives: Storm is an impressive and elegant woman whose talent is evident and she often inspires those around her with her evident drive to succeed at her craft. She is very considered in her communication with others and tries to make a positive impression with anyone she meets.
Negatives: Storm can at times appear cold due to putting her craft first and can appear sassy with those she doesn’t get on with or trust. She is a complex character who has built up a lot of emotional walls to protect herself. Her character is experiencing somewhat of a crisis at the beginning of the series. As such she is more vulnerable now than ever before.

I felt compelled to dedicate some of my time and image to saving this art form.
Positives: Sal is very smart and cunning with high ambition and a great work ethic. She has few meaningful friendships but is often relied on as the person who can give practical advice to overcome issues. She is not afraid to speak her mind.
Negatives: Sal puts up a wall around others, which can often make her appear cold or intimidating. She is keen not to show others how she feels, as she is afraid of being perceived as vulnerable.

Well, we’ve been dating for around eight months now, so hands off my man. *Giggles*
Positives: Beau is cocky and charming, with a bubbly personality and is able to make friends easily. He has succeeded in creating a fan base for himself within the soap opera genre.
Negatives: Beau can at times be naïve when facing problems. He didn’t learn how to look after himself properly, therefore often shrugs problems off or throws money at them. He is entirely reliant on his housekeeper to maintain his home, and is very rarely home due to his filming schedule and party lifestyle.

Positives: Chase is laid back but professional. He has a degree of sincerity to him which is seen by people he accepts into his close circle. He is harbouring a secret which makes him come across as slightly pressured with regards to the things he is doing. He enjoys getting his own way and relishes in proving others wrong.
Negatives: Chase can come across as unbothered, but this veneer cracks when people don’t agree with him, and he can become quite argumentative. He generally comes across as quite unfulfilled, despite his career successes, which suggests he longs for more in his personal life.

Well, with that in mind, we need to take the show in a new direction. We need to think of fresh ways to bring viewers in.
You’ll find out my plans for the show at the same time as every other cast member.
Positives: Tico is understated but passionate in his approach. He likes to achieve quiet success and seems slightly unconfident, or overly modest, at times. He is very protective of those he cares for, but can be vengeful towards those who cross him.
Negatives: As Tico is somewhat understated, his contrasting anger can be explosive and unexpected for someone of his nature. He can hold things in for a period of time, but this will explode eventually and lead to regretful actions. He longs to be noticed and appreciated more.
