Seeking Voice Actors for "First Winter" - A Student Thesis Film
Project Overview
Looking for 2 voice actors for my thesis animated film, "First Winter". The film is planned to be an animated short between 3-4 minutes.
Anǵel is a newly arrived immigrant who is experiencing his first winter in Chicago. The film follows his realization of what it may mean to be away from home for a very long time.
This is a PAID POSITION under a student budget.

PLEASE READ GUIDELINES BEFORE APPLYING:
Applicants must either own professional voice recording equipment OR be able to attend in-person voice recording session in Manhattan (1-2 hour recording session virtually or in person).
Those with immigrant backgrounds and within character age ranges are strongly recommended but not required.
Because these are relatively niche voices, please recommend these roles to anyone you may know that seem fit! (Your grandmas! Your nephews!) Thank you so much for supporting my vision.

Anǵel is a newly arrived immigrant who is experiencing his first winter in Chicago. He is around 8 years old (2nd grade). The film follows his realization of what it may mean to be away from home for a very long time.
I wrote him with his background as Honduran, but I am open to anyone who plays him well/has an immigrant background, and has access to good equipment!

(In realizing that his teacher is another immigrant) ... She's just like me.

Lola is Anǵel's teacher, an immigrant who came to America 30 years ago from the Philippines. She is Anǵel's guide and mentor- someone who is at the end of the journey Anǵel is just beginning. She is sweet, estimated to be around 65-70 years old.
I wrote her with a Filipino background in mind (And in that regard, calling her "Lola" is like treating her with the same respect as my own grandmother). I will have a very strong preference to those who fall into the age or cultural background as I imagine her with an elderly Filipino accent.
