This role is using a speech written for the context of what if the Apollo 11 mission failed and the astronauts perished as a result. The Speaker of this time period would most likely be Richard Nixon since this was in 1969. So the best Nixon impersonation is preferred. This is a somber speech and shouldn't be done trying to sound too much like Nixon, just the general tone and speaking pattern.
