Project Overview

Kōta Hasegawa is a high school boy who loves the yellow Pom Pom Purin dog. By mere coincidence, he ends up attending the same school as Yū Mizuno, a boy who likes the bunny My Melody. Yū tells Kōta that there's nothing to be ashamed of for liking Sanrio's cute characters. Together, Kōta, Yū, Shunsuke Yoshino, Ryō Nishimiya, and Seiichiro Minamoto learn to accept their love of the characters instead of feeling embarrassed.

Hello everyone,

My name is Peach Kisaragi, it's a pleasure to be a part of this wonderful community. I was a former member of the Voice Acting Alliance before it's closure and I am active over on Behind The Voice Actors.

I started out voice acting when I was 10 years old in small projects that I did on my own ranging from recording small videos using my mother's video camera and giving voices to my dolls, When I was 15 years old I branched out into voicing projects by others.

I was cast in many projects when I was a teenager and active in the community up until 2012 when I "retired" from voice acting because of constant bullying from people that were outside of the community. I resigned myself to being a writer/producer/director for many years until recently when a good friend of mine was going to quit voice acting and I talked to him about it and was inspired to go back into it as long as he pushed forward in the art.

I am going to try the voice acting game again and hope to do my best. Hopefully, I still got it and haven't lost something that I treasured the most.

Kouta Hasegawa is one of the five main characters from the anime Sanrio Danshi. He is also one of the characters whose route you can play in Cybird's Sanrio Danshi game. He is a high school student. His favorite fanatic character is Pompompurin. Kouta was heavily influenced by his grandmother at a young age.

As a child, Kouta was greatly motivated by his grandma, who had gifted him the Pompompurin doll for his birthday. He had lived a relatively happy life with his grandmother and the doll until he started getting taunted and made fun of for liking "girly" things. His grandma tried to comfort him, but the bullying proved too much and he yelled at her for giving him the doll in the first place, keeping his distance afterward. He wanted to apologize for a long time, but by the time he had worked up the courage, it was too late. His grandmother passed before he got the chance.

It wasn't until he had found the doll in a box during high school that he started to get into Sanrio, and started to make friends with the other four main cast of the anime. At first, he was hesitant to admit he liked the girly characters, but with the help of his friends, he became a bit more relaxed about it and began to openly accept his interest, despite still being embarrassed when someone brought it up.

I, Hasegawa Kouta, am a completely normal and average second-year high school student, even if I do say so myself.
Okay, so he's called Pompompurin. He's all puffy and cute, isn't he?

Grandma...you said I could do anything, right? But, it's hopeless. I wasn't able to apologize and I can't even admit to liking the things that I like.
