Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo Fandub
Project Overview
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) is a fantastic anime, mind you, it's fairly fanservice-y at times but it's a beautiful show.
As a fan of good dubs (Like My Hero Academia and Assasination Classroom) I was disappointed to find this show didn't have a dub, so I've decided to make one myself.
The casting requirements:
*Good Audio* This is a MUST, we want everyone to have fairly good audio, that means a good mic, and no echo or background noise.
Dedication As with most products we'll be relying on you to stick around for the full project. It's 24 episodes in total and no OVA or movie.
Acting capability Primarily for the leads, if you're a first pick in consideration I'll contact you over discord and have a follow up audition to see how well you hit the emotional range we need for the character.
Willingness to watch the show I don't expect you to watch the whole show before doing the dub, but if you are recording lines I would like each person to at least watch the scenes their character is in to sync up mouth movements with what you're saying, I write the script in such a way that the mouth should sync up but timing is still important.
"Maturity?"(Mainly for Misaki and Mashiro) As I said the show has a fair share of (censored) fanservice, the script still has inappropriate language, and Mashiro and Misaki say a lot of it since they don't filter the things they say
I hope we get lots of auditions and I hope you're all excited for this series, there's no official dub so let's make this good, it could be people's go-to dub if done right!
Voice Actor
Misaki is a childish, loveable, fireball of a girl. She creates animations and can handle most of the work herself. She also has a sense of humor, but most of the time it usually leads to something "vulgar". Later on, Misaki shows her soft side and can take things seriously like her animations and when it comes to the one she loves. She occasionally refers to herself as an alien, which explains her outrageous acts sometimes. (Despite how she acts at the start she has a lot going on and is an amazing character)
Lots of energy in the early episodes and more serious later on, also depressed at points (Be prepared for her sometimes-crude sense of humour)

(Giving a speech) We found ourselves in conflict with each other many times. There were hard times when we wanted to run away or give up. But it was only because that rain fell, that the seeds of our emotions could sprout. And the flowers of deeper friendship could bloom.
Voice Actor
The main female lead and the girl the show is about, Mashiro is an excellent artist, but is extremely terrible at everything else due to lacking any common sense. She is almost completely devoid of emotion, typically wearing a blank expression, Mashiro is a girl of few words, since at times, she herself is unsure of what to think, let alone say.
Her voice is fairly monotone throughout most of the show (she gets emotional at times and we need really good acting), she has a soft voice, and in the show she comes from England so we'd ideally like a English accent, (it's not too important though so if you can't do a English accent PLEASE DO NOT do an English accent, you can still be casted if you can't do one.)
(After Sorata tells her it's Morning and that the sun is up)
The Sun will never rise again.
In England I was surrounded by girls, you're the first boy I've become friends with.
It's more interesting when the future's uncertain.
Voice Actor
Although Nanami is harsh to Sorata, she obviously is in love with him, and everyone aside from Sorata has noticed this, due to the fact that Sorata is oblivious to her feelings towards him. She escaped from her home to become a voice actress, and has to live on her own. She also tends to overdo herself, especially when she's determined to work, sometimes harming herself in the process. This is primarily due to a complex that she has, wherein she has to do her best and be extremely competitive in nature. Nanami is shy, most especially over Sorata. She gives out her best in whatever she's doing.
She has a lot of energy and is, in essence, the typical anime girl. Even a bit of a tsundere towards Sorata. She freaks out and gets embarrassed often as well as being shocked by peoples behaviour especially at the beginning
(shocked) What?! Did she just ask him out like it was nothing?!
There are some things you can’t say to someone, no matter how close you are
(nervous) I found someone who wants to take the cats, but..
Voice Actor
"Maid" is Ryuunosuke's artificial intelligence (AI) program he wrote personally. Originally, Ryu designed Maid to filter and automatically reply to his cellphone messages and emails to save him time. However, Ryu keeps expanding Maid's AI ability. Maid is now capable of blocking and replying to a message or email by her own preference, using new words she has recently learned from other messages, emails, or the Internet in the reply. She's very protective of Ryu and her primary purpose in the show is interacting with people for him.
She also has a lot of emotion, either really happy, angry, or crying.
(cheerful, reading out a message) Ryuunosuke-Sama is currently busy developing sound compression middleware at the request of Company "S". If you bother him I'll send you a virus!
(angry, jealous) You foreign piece of crap! Could you die already?
(After someone points out that she can't hurt her because she's just on the screen)
(crying) I'll kill you one day!!!

Despite being a teacher, Chihiro is lazy and only cares about drinking alcohol and trying to date men. She is Mashiro's cousin and is the one who arranges the transfer, but she forces Sorata(the main character) to take care of Mashiro due to her laziness.
If you only accept things that meet your ideals precisely, you'll make yourself and everyone around you unhappy.
What an idiot. You really are a kid. You see the world in black and white. But the world isn't that simple. Everything around you is somewhere in the middle. They're not black or white. They're grey. Understand?

Best friend of the Main Character, he later was known to have feelings for Nanami. Stays an honest, helpful and good friend throughout the series
