Riptide: Episode 2 - Editor Needed (PAID)
Project Overview
Intro:
Hello all! I’m Sophia, the director and lead animator of the animated series “Riptide”, written by CrimsonFlame_Arts , on YouTube! I’m here looking for an editor for episode 2 and possibly onwards for my show. Let’s get into it!
Show synapsis:
Riptide is a PG-13 animated fiction comedy. The show revolves around the lives of Wren, Owen, Stella, Kai, and Violet; 5 adolescents trying to figure out their feelings toward each other and the world around them. The show begins as a comedic, slice-of-life story, but quickly progresses into a serious, action-packed drama as new faces threaten the peace and safety of our main characters, and once strong bonds of trust are broken. The overall vibe of the show is light-hearted, feel-good, silly, and relatable as well as episodic and dramatic. The show takes place in the early 2010’s with themes of: Identity (including neurodivergency and culture), love (including LGBTQIA+), courage, friendship, family, and many more!
Editor Requirements:
You must be 16+ to be a part of the project.
You must have Discord and include it in your application, as Discord will be our main form of communication.
Any editing software is welcomed, as long as it has no watermark.
You will need to edit 8-10 minutes of animation (the animation is still a work in progress, but I'm estimating it will be around this length).
You will be responsible for putting all the scenes together and assure they flow naturally.
You must be open to constructive criticism and re-doing/editing parts that need to be fixed.
You will need to be able to work within deadlines and communicate with the director.
You must have a knowledge and understanding of Western cartoons and anime, as Riptide is inspired by both.
You will exclusively use non-copyrighted sound effects and music for the episode.
You must edit the dialogue audio and make sure the voice lines are at an equal volume.
You will add sound effects to the animation, both realistic and cartoonish.
You need to find, edit, and select music that fits each scene shown in episode 2.
You will need to communicate that Riptide is a comedy through editing with sound effects and music.
Finally, you will be responsible for creating a credit sequence at the end of the episode featuring the names of everyone who worked on the project.

This is paid work. The editor selected will be paid $50 USD to start the project and $50 USD once the project is finished for labor (a flat payment of $100 USD in total) Payment through PAYPAL ONLY. Editor will also be given full access to the exclusive Riptide team Discord server, will be listed in the episode credits, and a link to one of your social medias in the episode description.
