Project Overview
Resident Evil: The Book is an English adaptation of the novella BIO HAZARD: The Beginning, by Hiroyuki Ariga, which was originally published as a portion of the book BIO HAZARD The True Story Behind BIO HAZARD. Resident Evil: The Book was distributed by Capcom U.S.A. through a mail-order offer via their official website in 1997.
The story serves as a prelude to the events of the original Resident Evil, in which Chris Redfield investigates the disappearance of a missing friend.

We are First Aid Spray - a Resident Evil podcast that has just moved into it's second year after a highly successful first 12 months. On top of the podcast, we are pushing in new directions such as editorial video and audio drama such as this. We have worked with voice actors in the past for the product as each of our podcast episodes features readings of famous files and diaries from the Resident Evil series and are looking to explore that further.
This project will be co-run by First Aid Spray CEO Psyniac and community member Mike "Evildeadite" Martin, who has worked on his own version of the original Japanese Biohazard: The Beginning script.

Chris is one of two protagonists in the original Resident Evil, and the lead character in this story. An esteemed marksman, ex-military and special forces officer; Chris however has a somewhat headstrong personality that has caused him issues clashing with superiors in the past. Goodhearted and brave.

After the air force I came back and joined S.T.A.R.S. and have been dealing with all these murders. I wonder if he's involved somehow? I haven't found any links between all the murders. Maybe he’s…I have two dead bodies on Route 85 near mile marker 122. One male and one female. Bring animal control.
Jill is one of the two original Resident Evil protagonists. She is famed for her strong sense of justice, is looked up to by the city's children and has claimed TV acclaim.
Things have changed since last night. One of our S.T.A.R.S. team, Chris, has seen the killer with his own eyes. Doesn't that count for anything?
I was thinking about Becky and Priscilla. I saw their bodies at the morgue, you know. Their little eyes used to be so full of life. But they weren't anymore. They were full of fear. Fear and death.

An original character for the book so able to play a little loose with this role. Chris' childhood friend and an Umbrella researcher, who fears for his life and is paranoid about being targeted for what he knows.

If it looked like a dog, perhaps it was a dog. Maybe a Mastiff or some other big breed. As for it's vicious attack, that could be the result of rabies. We'll know more once we analyze the dog you killed.

All that information was sent to the Rabbitson family shortly after the accident. Surely, as
executor, you must have received copies of all the pertinent records by now.I assure you that there is no doubt in this instance. The recovered bodies were mangled beyond recognition. The coroner had to literally guess what body part belonged to who. It's possible that part of Mister Rabbitson has been buried in someone else's coffin.
