Hello everyone! I'm currently working on an ambitious project that I'm extremely excited to share with you all! This project is called Protoria, a cinematic Minecraft series set in a fantasy world.
Protoria follows a young man named Leo who stumbles upon an ancient weapon that summons a girl from another world. Confused at this discovery, Leo must now help the girl return home on a journey that will take them across the dangerous lands of Protoria.
Due to the cinematic nature of the series, I require a lot of voice talent. So I have created this casting call in hopes that you may find interest in lending your voice to this exciting new project.
Currently there is ONE SEASON planned with 15 EPISODES including 2 SPECIALS that will release outside of the season.

Hello everyone! Firstly I just wanted to start by thanking everyone who has auditioned so far! I really appreciate the enthusiasm towards the project! We've almost hit 200 auditions which is absolutely bonkers! 🤯
Please continue sharing this project with your friends and fellow VA's! It always warms my heart to see new submissions come in (and yes I listen to every single one.)
I also just wanted to clarify some potential confusion about the character tags. You may see some characters have things like English (British) or English (American) listed next to their name. This is NOT a requirement to be cast as the character, it's simply what I imagined when writing them!
All accent types are 100% valid and you have the freedom to experiment with the the lines however you want! This is what auditioning is all about, and I love it when I am able to see different interpretations of the material that even I didn't expect.

ABOUT:
Jess is a major character in the story of Protoria. She is a girl from a world that reflects our own, being thrust into the fantasy world of Protoria after being summoned by an ancient magical sword. She is a bright and bubbly girl who despite her initial fear, does her best to carry herself in this daunting new world. Jess can be quite a sassy and argumentative young woman, but is compassionate to those close to her.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone with a high emotional range being able bounce well off of Leo in a way that is endearing to people watching. This role requires a fair bit of shouting and screaming so please be aware of that when auditioning. Jess is probably the most important character in the show, arguably more so than Leo so please give the audition everything you've got.

ABOUT:
Zalia is a supporting character who joins Leo and Jess on their journey to get her home. She is a member of the Shining Knights, a respected group of warriors tasked in protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Zalia fought in Battle of Renfair during the Great Protorian War, now recognised as a war hero. She is a stoic and commanding person who carries herself with confidence. However underneath her strong exterior she is a woman plagued with PTSD from her experience at war.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone with a voice that is mature. A voice that is easily respected and one you wouldn't want to cross. However, this role requires a lot of emotional flexibility as we will explore Zalia's deep internal struggle.

ABOUT:
Shino is the Leader of Iddoryon, one of the four regions in Protoria. He is the younger brother of Hanz. He is followed by his own private squadron of Black Knights, Iddoryon warriors that follow his command without question. Even if those orders are not morally sound. Shino is a self-absorbed narcissist, believing himself to be above everyone else, causing a fractured relationship with his brother. He also has some sadistic tendencies, which bleed out in many moments throughout the series.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone who can embody that self-absorbed nature as well as being able to tap into those sadistic elements of his character.

ABOUT:
Mizu is a supporting character who joins Leo's group after being rescued during a run-in with wild beasts. She is the Princess of Elysium, the region that the group are travelling to. In exchange for passage into Elysium, Leo's group offers Mizu protection on her journey home. Mizu is a polite and kind-hearted young woman. She is however a run-away who constantly struggles with her own self doubt, afraid that she'll never be able to match up to the expectations of becoming a queen.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone who can provide a soft voice that is carried with elegance and class. While also capable of tapping into the side of a struggling girl who has a hard time dealing with her anxieties and insecurities.

Rosa is a supporting character in the series following Shino as one of his Black Knights. She comes across as a very serious and practical person, seen as the most highly respected of the Black Knights. Despite her cold exterior she does have an internal conflict that will be explored.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who can deliver a serious and commanding performance while also having the flexibility to showcase a softer side to the character that will be explored in later episodes.

Zabac is a supporting character acting as the main antagonistic force of the series. He is the leader of the Drenzels, an evil race of beings who are known for being the masters of Ancient Dark Magic. Zabac is a powerful force, striking fear into the hearts of those who face him. He's composed and is able to control situations with ease.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone with a low/mature voice who can create a believable performance as someone who is truly despicable. A voice that is calm, composed and collected. The voice of a man you cannot predict.

Rikiya is a supporting character who acts as one of the antagonistic forces in the series. He serves directly under Zabac, being the first to approach Leo and his group in battle. Rikiya is another self-absorbed narcissist who believes that Protoria belongs to the Drenzels and that everyone else should die out. He is extremely loyal to Zabac and would do anything to prove himself. He finds pleasure in mentally toying with his enemies.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone with a high tone that can carry themselves as a person with a lot of pride but also someone who can tap into that near state of ecstasy Rikiya reaches when toying with his foes.

ABOUT ME:
Hanz is a minor character who plays a significant part in the episodes they are featured in. He is the leader of the region Renfair and brother to Shino. He faced Drenzel leader Kronos in the Battle of Renfair 16 years prior, defeating and killing him ultimately ending the war. He is a kind and peaceful man who has an internal battle with choices he made during the war.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who can embody a kind leader that is respected and well-loved. While also being able to bleed his sensitivity towards the war into his words, hinting at his regrets and mental scars which still remain.

Xilla is a Minor character who has a significant part in the episodes she is featured, albeit only a few. Xilla is an actress often performing for theatre productions in her local town. After running into Leo, she enlists his help to fend off against a mysterious cult who seek to harness her grandfather's knowledge on Ancient beings. Xilla is a bright and animated person who is extremely passionate about the things they love.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who can embody an upbeat and sassy girl who is filled with passion. Her personality is fun and mischievous, so much so it can even overwhelm Leo.

Viktor is a Minor character who has a significant part in the episodes he is featured. Viktor is an inventor who is well-respected in the town of Renfair. He is also Leo's uncle and the man who raised him. They have a very close bond and he considers Leo as a son, but treats him like a best friend.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who can embody a mature but playful man with a fatherly tone. Someone with a voice that is comforting to listen to.

ABOUT:
Ori is a Minor character who resides within the walls of Elysium, the destination Leo and his group seek. She is a mysterious woman believed to be over 10'000 years old despite still carrying the appearance of a youthful woman. Her personality is dry and nonchalant. She comes across as someone who is void of emotion.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I am looking for someone with a voice that comes across as monotone and direct. The voice of someone who is very hard to read and composed at all times.

ABOUT:
The former Drenzel leader. Kronos was a man hell-bent on destroying Hanz and everything he loved. Why? Nobody truly knows. He is only remembered as a monster who chose to tear apart the lives of many innocent people. Hanz killed him during the Battle of Renfair, ultimately ending the war between the two. Kronos is a rageful man, not afraid to crush anyone who stands in his way.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I'm looking for someone who can provide a deep and menacing voice that strikes fear into the heart of anyone who can hear him. The voice of someone who despite being rageful, is well spoken and can articulate their ideals and beliefs well.

After running into Leo he warns him of a cultist group who seek to steal all of his research. Hector is a respectable and kind old man.
