Pokemon Edelweiss (Fan Region Project)
Project Overview
Hello, my name is Jaydreamer! Ever since 2018, I've been working on a Pokemon fan project I like to call "the Askosverse", a project that features new characters, Pokemon, and stories, all inspired by my love for the franchise. This new entry into the 'verse is the CONCLUSION of all these years of work, so it's bigger and better than ever!
"Pokemon Edelweiss" is set within the Delwis region, based upon the country of Portugal! The story and characters take a lot of inspiration from the country, its culture, and its history. And as with my two previous regions, I'd like to bring this project to life with the help of voice actors for all of the characters the story introduces!
What do I need to do?
A) Make sure you read everything about the characters first! I've tried my best to describe their personality and what voice they should preferably have.
B) Make sure your microphone quality is up to scratch - no pops, whistles, or muffled audio. And please leave your audio largely unedited and as crisp as possible!
C) Having a Discord account is mandatory for this project, as it will be the main form of communication for this project.
D) Feel free to try and give your own spin on the character - I'd love to hear your take on their voice and possibly find something that I never would have imagined before!
E) Keep in mind that this is an unpaid project, and is somewhat long-form - it'll take at least a year to complete.

Emmet isn't much of a talker - he keeps most emotions to himself, and only speaks up either when prompted or when he has something important to say. He's also a bit of a people pleaser - taking whichever side will cause the least arguments.

Isaac St. Claire is a 16 year old Trainer hailing from the Galar region - his family recently moved back to Delwis, his mother being part of the famous band "Borealis". Though, Isaac feels like HE was "called" here by something. Hm.
Isaac always tries to be optimistic and see the good in everyone - however, he can be prone to jealousy, especially if someone ends up making him feel inferior. He wishes for all of his friends to have a smile on their face - but in the face of a threat that could wipe out the region, can Isaac really stay positive forever...?
Isaac is British (as Galar is based on Britain). Try NOT to use the stereotypical "movie accent" for him - I'd like to hear some variety!

Audrey Xavier is a 17 year old Trainer hailing from the Unova region - she and her father recently moved back to Delwis, her dad and mom being part of the famous band "Borealis". Though, Audrey feels like SHE was "called" here by something. Hm.
Audrey is a realist, and is always the first to point out contradictions in what others say - which sometime comes off as rude, getting her into more trouble than it's worth. She's brash with a sarcastic streak, always speaking her mind - she also wishes to prove herself to her parents, and prove that she's capable of making her own decisions.

Tristan Avila is a student of Uva Academy, who is visiting Delwis as a part of their Treasure Hunt. They hope to uncover the local myths and legends of the region - and maybe along the way, they'll discover something about themselves, too.
Tristan, in contrast to Isaac, is a pessimist - they always beat themselves up at the smallest inconvenience, and don't have much self-esteem. However, they're able to open up when talking about their interests - namely, Pokemon, and myths and legends ABOUT Pokemon. They're a well of information, and can be a bit nerdy about it.
Tristan is nonbinary, and goes by they/them pronouns.

Vernon Evans is the Grass type Gym Leader of Delwis, being the first one that Emmet encounters. He's a wise old man, who loves taking care of his garden and his Pokemon. He originates from the Galar region, and he's very kind and caring towards everyone, including his protege, Sage.
Vernon is British (as he's from Galar, the region based on Britain). I imagine he sounds a bit like David Attenborough.

Sage is the protege of Gym Leader Vernon, and so due to this, he looks up to Vernon a lot. He and Vernon great each other like family, and Sage always wants the best for his "grandpa", reminding him of things when gets forgetful or helping him take care of the garden. In general, he's kind and caring, albeit maybe a little bit of a worry wart.

Jeffrey Jackson is a distinguished businessman, being the third in line to Jackeon Industries, a foreign technology company that his family owns. He runs a luxury hotel within the Delwis region, where his Gym is located.
Jeffrey presents himself as calm and collected, and maybe even a bit smug. But at heart, he's actually a bit of a trickster - he loves playing pranks on unsuspecting Gym challengers, and loves to entertain over anything else.

She's a bit of a daredevil and an adrenaline junkie - when she's out in the field reporting, she'll often get dangerously close to freak weather events!

He's beloved by all for his kindness and honesty, presenting himself as-is with no regret.

Spade is nonbinary, and goes by they/them.

Time has jaded her slightly, causing her to be brash, cold, and stern - though she does display warmth when talking about her grandkids or her memories of being Admiral.

Daniela is Admiral Lopez's granddaughter, referring to her grandmother as "Nan". Daniela is a lot more positive than Adelina, and constantly has to scold her for being mean. Not that Daniela herself can't show traits of her grandmother - she can be quite sarcastic, always cracking jokes, sometimes in inappropriate times. She doesn't mean to hurt people's feelings, though - and is very caring at the end of the day.

Team Paragon, or "the Paragon Knights", are the villainous team of the Delwis region - the Queen's royal guards, employed by the Prince in order to spread awareness of a threat that's soon going to awaken within the region. Though, the way they go about this is...subpar, to say the least. They talk themselves up a lot, pretending to be great and powerful, when in reality, they don't know the first thing about REAL danger.
In short, they're knights in shining armor that nobody wanted or needed.

Prince Panasco is the more public-facing sibling of Queen Claudia, partly in thanks to the founding of Team Paragon, which he leads. Panasco comes off as self-absorbed and egotistical - but is beloved by the people despite this for his "heroic" acts.
Speaking of acts, though...Panasco's bravado is simply performative, as he wishes to give the region hope in desolate times, giving the region someone to look up to in theor darkest hour. He also cares for his sister immensely - taking great offense if anyone insults her, and even being slightly overprotective of her when it comes down to it.

Queen Claudia Aviz is the young ruler of the Delwis region, who prefers to stay hidden from the public eye, ruling benevolently from the shadows. This is due to her major flaw - her father, the old King, was a terrible ruler, hated by everyone. Claudia has a lot of insecurity stemming from this - striving to be better than her father was, and to make up for his past mistakes.
She and her brother, Panasco, have a slightly strained relationship - they both care for one another, but Claudia tends to put her duties as a royal higher than expressing concern for her brother. This has lead to a lot of resentment through the years...

Cornelia is a comedian that's currently on tour in Unova - playing music on her steel pan to aid her jokes. Her comedy shows are a bit crass, so in front of children, she tries to hide what she does for her job.

Safira Xavier is the narcissistic Champion of the Delwis region, holding her title in high regard. She works hard to maintain her image, but many people in the region dislike her, due to her being a prima donna. When she's not working as Champion, she's a singer - her shows have become less and less popular, though, as she's been drown out by more more competitors.
She's a helicopter parent towards Audrey - holding her to an extremely high standard, which was stifling for Audrey. Safira has a dislike for Audrey due to this - and also a dislike towards her ex-husband, Dimitri.
In the past, Safira was the lead singer for Borealis - a band formed by the members of the Elite 4.

Dillon Palm is Emmet's self-proclaimed rival and self-proclaimed "cousin" - despite the two actually being uncle and nephew. Dillon and Emmet grew up together, Dillon being the more outspoken of the two, being loud, optimistic, and peppy without a care. Though, he does care a lot deep down - when someone is upset, he will try everything he can in order to cheer them up.
I've noted that Dillon sounds American - this is for a specific reason, so please keep that in mind.

Marco Chery is the twin brother of Donna Cherry - Delwis's Pokemon Professor. Even since he was a child, he's dreamed of being the first man on Lisin (Mars) - and that dream recently cane true a few years ago, as Marco is currently an astronaut, living on Lisin to research extraterrestrial Pokemon. He's an avid lover of space and the cosmos, but in general, he's knowledgeable, down-to-earth (ha), and caring, just like his sister.
He has a major flaw, though - due to a certain incident in his past, he's become untrustworthy of strangers, always assuming the worst of people he doesn't know.
