Peter Pan: movie 1

Project Overview
Peter was once a normal child, but he ran away to Neverland so he would never have to grow up and die. He used to visit his own mother's window and listen to stories, but after she shut it on him, he started visiting others. He takes the Darling children on adventures and saves them from pirates. <any age is aloud>

LEAD ROLE Peter is an exaggerated stereotype of a boastful and careless boy. He claims greatness, even when such claims are questionable (such as congratulating himself when Wendy re-attaches his shadow). In the play and book, Peter symbolises the selfishness of childhood, and is portrayed as being forgetful and self-centred.

Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough.
To die will be an awfully big adventure.
All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.

LEAD ROLE Hook's personality is closer to Barrie's original character: he terrifies his crew, brutalises his enemies, has no fear (except the crocodile), shows great intelligence, and is passionate about William Shakespeare's plays.

Prepare to die, Peter!
Don't ever frighten me like that again.
Death is the only adventure I have left.

SIDE CHARACTER He is Captain Hook's loyal first mate, though his bumbling behavior often prevents him from being much help. In contrast to his megalomaniacal captain, Smee is soft-spoken and genial. He nevertheless enjoys piracy, and longs to abandon Neverland in favor of returning to a life of plunder along the seven seas.

But, Captain, wouldn't it be more humane-like to slit his throat?
Aye, aye, sir.
I'm glad to hear that, Captain.

Lead Role Wendy is an imaginative, mature, and very maternal young lady. She loves to care for John and Michael and often tells the story of Peter Pan.

Oh, Peter, I knew you’d come back! I saved your shadow for you. Oh, I do hope it isn’t rumpled. You know, you look exactly the way I thought you would. A litter taller perhaps.
I'll think of a mermaid lagoon, underneath a magic moon.
Oh, but, mother, it was a such a wonderful adventure

Oh, I should like very much to cross swords with some real buccaneers.
I shall try to be worthy of my post.
Careful, Michael, my glasses!

SIDE ROLE George's personality is at first, loud, practical, and angry. He is noticeably involved with Wendy, John, and Michael albeit in a very strict manner.

You know, I have the strangest feeling that I’ve seen that ship before, a long time ago, when I was very young.
Oh, Mary. Of all the impossible, childish fiddle-faddle, Peter Pan, indeed
Poor Nana. Oh, yes, poor Nana. But poor father? Oh, no.

Goodbye, Nana
Hello, Peter Pan! I'm Michael
Are you hurted, Wendy

LEAD ROLE Mary is a very kind, beautiful, and understanding wife and mother. Although she didn't entirely believe in Peter Pan until the end of the film, she believed in the spirit of him. She was deeply concerned about Wendy, John, and Michael's well-being, especially Wendy's, who was being forced to grow up too soon by George.

George, dear, do hurry! We mustn't be late for the party, you know.
There are many different kinds of bravery. There's the bravery of thinking of others before one's self. Now, your father has never brandished a sword nor fired a pistol, thank heavens. But he has made many sacrifices for his family, and put away many dreams.
And what's your name?
