Project Overview
From the channel that brought you Super Paper Mario: The Prophecy Foretold and Celeste: Voices of the Mountain comes our newest project:
Paper Mario 64: The Call of the Stars!
This is the story of Mario once more saving the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach from Bowser's grasp, but this time, Bowser steals the wish-granting Star Rod from the Star Spirits to become invincible. Soon, Peach's castle is in the sky and Mario is defeated at the start. It's sure to be an adventure of new twists and great tales!
**RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING**
- I will ONLY accept submissions done through Casting Call Club. Any other “auditions” (such as those sent via DMs) will be SKIPPED.
- If you record more than one take for the lines, unless I SPECIFICALLY ask for one (such as when I need to hear a filter), your audition will be SKIPPED.
- If you do not put your discord in the description, your audition will be SKIPPED.
- If you use a voice filter without me SPECIFICALLY asking for one, your audition will be SKIPPED.
**ADDITIONAL NOTES/RECOMMENDATIONS:**

- There is no need to slate/introduce yourself at the start of your audition. I know who you are and it only spends more time. It won't disqualify you by doing so but know that I'd rather you don't.
- This dub is performed in the English language. If an accent isn't specified, you are safe to assume that the character defaults to a general North American accent.

I am looking for a low to medium-pitched voice that can really convey the size and sluggishness of Gourmet Guy without making his speech pattern overly slow.

A ghost who’s trapped Watt in his lantern.
I am looking for a medium to medium-high-pitched voice with chaos in its character choices and vocal inflections. He is stereotypically maniacal, creepy, and laughing.

A small cluster of electricity taking on the identity of a young girl. Watt is very helpful, and tags along with Mario after being rescued from being trapped in a lamp. She can be a bit shy or hesitant, but learns to be brave for the greater good.
I am looking for a medium-high-pitched voice that sounds distinctly younger, but without that typical, toddler-like clueless speaking pattern. She should speak in a normal speaking pattern, but have that youthful excitement and aged-down sound.

A gray Shy Guy that guards a toy chest containing a Power Plus Badge. Loves Lemon Candy. He is a very strong enemy under Bowser’s indirect command.
I am looking for a low to medium-pitched voice that sounds sinister and dangerous, as if just hearing his speaking voice/pattern is a warning. The rest of the character choices are open to interpretation.

A band of shy guys who infiltrate the Toy Box and answer to General Guy.
This role is mostly open to interpretation, but think typical, mischievous-sounding, small goons. While you may NOT record an audition line more than once, you may do a different voice for each audition line if you so wish to.
NOTE: Multiple actors will be cast for the various Shy Guys.

A whale that serves as Mario’s transportation to Lavalava Island. He is initially in distress when the Fuzzipede is inside his body. Overall, a very friendly character.
I am looking for a low to medium-pitched voice that takes up space. The character is a whale, and therefore should sound as such. Large, booming, rather slow talking (but not sluggish).

A Cheep Cheep who is babysitting five Yoshi kids. Has a softhearted but overprotective nature, not unlike a mother with her children. She is often annoyed and overworked by the deviousness of the yoshis she watches.
I am looking for a medium-low to medium-pitched voice. She should sound older, and her overprotectiveness should be noticeable in her character choices.

[Attempt to dissuade MARIO from going to the volcano.]Why in the world would you want to go to Mt. Lavalava? It's VERY hot and VERY dangerous in the volcano! If you aren't extremely careful AND lucky, you'll be roasted to a golden brown.
[In awe, getting a little choked up.] Uh-huh... Oh... Oh! You're going to the volcano because you want to save the princess from some bad guys? What...a touching story! Romantic stories like that... just touch a soft spot in this heart of mine.
A massive Piranha Plant that guards Misstar. It is a plant that very ironically resides beneath a sea of lava within Mount LavaLava. It speaks with a noticeable lack of verb conjugation in a very off-putting manner.
I am looking for a low to medium-pitched voice. Lava Piranha shouldn't have a booming voice. It is a large creature, yes, but the voice should sound more menacing and depraved.

I am looking for a low to medium-pitched voice that can intimidate, while also keeping cool. Do not take his speech too fast.
NOTE: This director is, in fact, a chuggaaconroy fan. If you wish to take this voice his way, you may do so.
