[ROLES NEED FILLED; PAID] Phantom of The Opera (Group Cover) [MULTIPLE CASTS; REVISED CASTING CALL]
Project Overview
DISCLAIMER
If you followed this project two years ago, we are officially going to start once all roles are filled now that we have music! Most of the info below is still the same except for some slight adjustments.
-------INFORMATION ON THIS PROJECT-------
INTRODUCTION
Greetings! Welcome to the casting call of The Phantom of The Opera GROUP COVER (or collaboration). Before we get started, if you don't know Phantom of The Opera (POTO) but are interested in auditioning, I'd highly recommend doing some research on this musical (listen to the songs, watch performances, and get to know the characters).
OVERVIEW
There are four different casts in the project. Why? Variety! This will be fun listening to different voice actors and how they look at the role(s) and implement their creativity. Depending on what role you get if accepted, this will be a PAID project! More details are in the PAYMENT section.
CASTS
There are 4 casts:
Emerald Cast
Diamond Cast
Ruby Genderbent Cast*
-
Amethyst Genderbent Cast*
*All the roles are of the opposite gender (i.e. The Phantom would be a female.)
CAUTION
Although most roles are filled from the original casting call, I highly encourage everyone to audition cause chances are, whether it's just ensemble or not being offered to you, you WILL be included no matter what if you accept!
MUSIC
We have custom tracks as of this writing (or typing haha). Act 2 is still in the works but should be done soon!
POST-PRODUCTION
Once all recordings are done and the songs have been finalized, the content will be uploaded on my channel (one song per video). A full recording of the show will be put into one video and will be uploaded before the individual tracks. I'll also try to see if I can have it distributed on music platforms but obviously, that's a tough hill to climb. More details on this once we have the rest of the roles filled.
PAYMENT
If you followed the original casting call, the payment depended on what size we'd have. Now that it's confirmed we have four casts, here's the following plan. It's the same as before:
$35 will be paid to the roles (plus gender-bent roles) of Phantom, Christine, and Raoul
$23 will be paid to the roles (plus gender-bent roles) of Carlotta, Madame Giry, Meg, Andre, and Firmin
$10 will be paid to the roles (plus gender-bent roles) of Piangi and Buquet
The rest of the roles are non-paid roles.
NOTICE: Things may change throughout this project but just know that this will be your guaranteed offer. Actors will sign an e-contract before getting started to confirm this!
PAYMENTS WILL BE SENT VIA PAYPAL. VOICE ACTORS WILL BE PAID ONCE THEIR PARTS HAVE BEEN SENT TO ME.

----------------------HOW THIS WORKS---------------------------
AUDITIONS
REQUIREMENTS - To be considered for this project, you must:
Be at least 16 years old
Have prior knowledge of Phantom of The Opera (highly recommended but not required)
Have a good to excellent quality microphone with little to no background noise
Have a Discord account
TIPS FOR AUDITIONS - Before auditioning, make sure you:
Warm up those vocal cords!
Listen to the examples of each song you'll be singing.
Take breaks in between auditions if you're going for multiple roles.
Drink plenty of water!
Audition as YOU. I want to hear what (insert your name here) sounds like if they performed as that character on stage!
(If you want to include your demo reel on top of your auditions, go for it!)
DEADLINE
The deadline is final! I will not accept any late auditions. November 18th at 11:59 p.m. EST is when everything is due!
F.A.Q.
What happens if I got cast as one role in one cast but got cast as another role in another?
-You'll get paid for each role you have. If you're Christine in two casts, for example, you get paid just $35 (if there are 4 casts). However, say you also got the female Phantom in the Gender-bent cast, you'll receive an additional $35! :D
Are the backing tracks you found good quality?
-Yes. Most of them are from the same playlist. There are a handful of songs that are from different creators because they either sound better or have a unique style that I like over the main playlist I have. However, that's IF we go down this route.
If you do decide to make custom tracks, how many music composers do you need?
-The more we have, the merrier! The only downside is the more composers we have, the less each will be paid due to the budget.
What are you looking for in the gender-bent roles?
-Honestly, I'm open to anything! Show me what you think the swapped counterpart would sound like. Want the female Phantom to belt instead of sounding too operatic? Go for it!
FINALLY...

We are told, ladies and gentleman, that this is the very chandelier that figures in that famous disaster. Our workshops have restored it and fitted parts of it with wiring for the new electric light so that we may get a hint of how it may look when re-assembled. Perhaps we may even frighten away the ghost of so many years ago with a little... illumination. Gentleman!"
Maestro Reyer:
"My diva commands. Will two bars
be sufficient introduction?""There is no understudy, monsieur - the
production is new."
