Heyo all! Back at it again with another call!
My name is SquireForHire, and I'm casting director for our upcoming YT channel: Manga BOOM.
We're back for Round 2 auditions, and ever since starting with our initial talent pool, it became apparent that we were going to need to hire on even more VAs for the workload we're wanting to achieve. We're aiming to be dubbing about 4 manga a month, and for that, we'll need many skilled VAs with time on their hands.
Manga BOOM is a YT channel in production that is going to be dubbing over various manga in circulation unofficially, and since the first call, my boss, Saint, is now wanting to shift more towards rom-coms in particular. We will not be doing anything NSFW, however, these manga do get suggestive. So please keep that in mind when auditioning. This means also, that you must be 18+.
Manga BOOM keeps AI involvement to a minimum. We do NOT use AI voices, but rather, for editing purposes, use a certain AI tech that allows for the movement of still images. If you do not wish to be a part of this project because of this, I completely understand and thank you for your time.
We are looking for VAs with set-ups that allow for yelling with minimal echo and background noise, and with better mics than USB mics.
My boss, the channel owner, Saint, is the one who will be responsible for payment. He only works through PayPal, so you must have one to join the talent pool. We work on an $8/min rate, with a $4-flat minimum for roles/recordings that do not reach the minute mark. And keep in mind that our end-goal is a manga a week.
Remember also, that this is, indeed, a talent pool. You are not being hired on for a specific role, rather, you are joining a cast of very kind and talented individuals, who all audition for each manga we dub, and are cast accordingly. Also, if you auditioned for the last call, by all means, audition again!
As a final disclaimer: this is technically classified as a fan-dub. If hired on, it is strongly encouraged not to showcase your work with Manga BOOM to agencies or companies, as this work is not smiled upon in the anime industry. We will respect your decision to be credited or to be anonymous.
Thank you very much and best of luck!
