What is this?
A fan dub of the beloved anime, One Piece - specifically the first four episodes which are known as the Romance Dawn Arc. For those of you unfamiliar with the anime, here's the wiki definition: The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next Pirate King.
RequirementsJust have at least a semi-decent microphone and passion, I don't ask for much. Oh also you don't have to try to mimic the character's voice, just try any voice you think would fit. If you are cast then you MUST have either discord or twitter as that is how I will be able to reach you for communication.
Hey guys! My co-director, Atlas_t (DarthSithaca#2124), will be starting to reach out to some of you to see if you're still interested as well as if you're okay with being casted as another role and other miscellaneous things like that. Hey guys! I've been loving the auditions so far, I've done my best to evaluate as many as I can! Of course, nothing is set in stone since we still have a couple of weeks until the deadline, but I'm sending this update out to let you know that we may offer you a different role if we think you may fit another character that you didn't audition for. Of course, you are totally free to say no to the role. Also slight dislcaimer: we may need to cast some people as multiple characters so please reach out if you are not okay with this and we will make sure to factor that in. Nami's two favorite things are money and tangerines. She is the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates to appear (in the anime). Possibly one of the best (or even the best) navigators currently sailing, she has the ability to recognize and analyze even the slightest changes in the weather through sheer intuition.

From the look of those clouds moving in from the south, I'd say a cold front's coming. So you can probably expect strong winds and squalls any time now, really. Also, in that small a boat, you run a bit of a chance of capsizing.
Alvida is first introduced in the first episode of One Piece as a fat looking female pirate captain with freckles all over her face. She has a slight gruff to her voice giving her a bossy aura alongside her menacing tone.

Rika is a little girl who tries to help everyone, even criminals. She has a very innocent and lighthearted tone to her voice making her sound fairly naive.

The son of Captain Morgan of the Marines. He feels very entitled so his voice is extremely snobbish and conceited.

Morgan is a very tall, intimidating man with white-blond hair and a steel jaw. He rules over a small town, yet he is ruling by fear, abusing his rank to make people pay taxes, and even going as far as killing his own men if they do not obey his commands. Morgan has a very manly gruff voice.
You're a stupid fool...who isn't even worth hitting. I don't want you to get the wrong idea.

The of Axe-Hand Morgan's officers at his base in the East Blue. His voice also has a very slight gruff.

Shanks is Luffy's childhood hero since he saved him from certain death. He has a very friendly and soft nature to go with his smooth voice.
This straw hat means more to me than you could possibly know. It's been with me in many a fight. It's something so precious that I couldn't even give it to you, Luffy.
No! You didn't-Don't tell me you ate the fruit that was inside that box?! Spit it out right now! Every single bite!

Sniper of the Red-Haired Pirate Crew. Yasopp is a gifted sharp-shooter said to be capable of shooting the legs off an ant at 100 feet without harming the rest of it. His voice has both a gruff and raspiness to it so take that as you will.
Look, you might be a good swimmer and all, but that doesn't mean you'd make a good pirate, Luffy.

A rather large bodied man who's a member of "Red-Haired" Shanks' crew, he's always seen eating a piece of meat. His voice is kinda generic so you can choose any voice that you feel fits best.

Higuma was a man who was used to getting his own way. He walked about as though he owned the world and was prepared to kill if need be. If anyone resisted him, he would threaten them with his status as a criminal and a killer. He has a voice that also gives off a slight menacing aura.
Hm, interesting. These other pirates seem to still be drinking. Is that water in their glasses?
I'm sorry, but this rotten kid's already made me angry. Nothing can save him now.

A local bartender who is seen to be very kind and caring. Her voice can be interpreted as soft and sweet.
Welcome, gentlemen. What can I do for you?

The Mayor of Luffy's hometown who cares for everyone and tries his best to keep the town safe. He's also got a kinda generic old man voice

Beckman appears to be a lot less fun-loving and a lot more relaxed than the other members of the crew are, acting as the level-headed member. He, Lucky Roo, and Yasopp are some of Shanks's most trusted crew members, as they are always seen when the Red Hair Pirates are featured, usually when something crucial happens. His voice could work with a slight country/southern accent.
