Omni-Man vs Homelander - Rap Battle! (ANIMATION VS ANYTHING)
Project Overview
I am looking for two adult male voice actors to play Omni-Man and Homelander in an upcoming episode of my webseries ANIMATION VS ANYTHING. ANIMATION VS ANYTHING is a rap battle series, inspired by Epic Rap Battles of History but with a much heavier focus on characterization, exploration of different music styles, and characters from modern pop culture as opposed to history.
This project will be released as a fully animated music video sometime in the first half of 2024. ANIMATION VS ANYTHING has earned millions of views across all episodes and has been active since 2017. You can see examples of my past work here. I have previously used Casting Call Club to seek casting for 3 now-completed previous episodes - Shaggy vs Crazy Dave (October 2021), SpongeBob SquarePants vs Captain Underpants (July 2023) and Denji vs Wolverine (August 2023).
This is a paid opportunity - I'm offering $200 USD for each role, including retakes within reason as well as extra "backup vocal" takes to add emphasis to certain lines in the mix. The exact line count has not been finalized, but you should anticipate having to record roughly 2-3 minutes of raw audio.
- Have a decent microphone and be able to provide clean .wav files with little to no natural reverb or background noise
- Be capable of doing an impression of Omni-Man or Homelander respectively.
- Be able to follow a pre-recorded demo track and replicate the tempo and flow of the lyrics in this voice
- Be willing to provide retakes within reason if requested, as well as certain extra takes of specific lines for emphasis
You will be asked to record your auditions using two lines from the character's home series, as well as a sample of yourself rapping something of your choosing in this voice. It need not be complicated or super fast - I just want to gauge how well you can imitate pre-written flow and if you have any past rapping experience.
I will be following up with several of the auditions and giving them a chance to audition with the full proper script and demo before making my final decision. I am looking for high-quality work and will likely be picky about minute details.
