MY HERO ACADEMIA OVA FANDUB: TRAINING OF THE DEAD
Introduction: Hello, I am Avalon, and I will be your director and video editor for this project. I will also be playing the lead role of Tsuyu Asui and the supporting role of Minoru Mineta (as well as one liner characters if extra female character auditions are scarce).
There are no official dubs for both of the OVAs for My Hero Academia and to my genuine surprise, there are no fandubs posted up either! So this just needed to be done!
Keep in mind that this episode takes place in-between Season 2 and Season 3 of My Hero Academia. If you haven't watched up to that point, beware of spoilers.
Plot: Tsu is reunited with her middle school friend, Habuko, when a few students from Isami High School visit UA High School to join them as guests in the surprise activity of team survival training. Unexpectedly, several of the students become zombies!

The characters at the top of the list will be more harshly judged from their importance and/or quantity of lines in the OVA than the ones farther down.
Since the Minor and Extra characters have only a couple lines, I will allow double casting for them. If you audition for a major character and a minor character, and I love both, I will cast you for both.
Requirements:
1. You must have a Paypal for me to pay you after your work
2. You must have a clean sounding mic and minimal background noise. You can have amazing acting skills, but if your mic is bad quality I’ll have to sadly pass over it
3. You must have a discord as I will be giving a server link for further discussion after you grab a part
4. Many of the characters in the OVA yell and freak out. You must be fine with making loud noises while recording (and your mic should be able to pick it up without too much fuzz)
5. Be willing to have me coach you through parts I might have a certain vision for
6. You must be committed to the project and submit your lines by the deadlines I announce. (I will give you plenty of time beforehand, don’t worry)
Tips to a better audition:
1. I’m really looking for people who can project their voice. Energy, whether the character yells a lot or not, will be the key to catch my attention. Don’t be shy. Be confident in your voice!
2. The voices I’ll be looking for are the ones closest to the dub, so it would be wise to open the links I’ve placed for each character and practice getting as close as possible to the original voice. New characters such as Habuko and Fujimi will be left to interpretation since they only have an official subbed voice, but I’d still recommend going to the OVA episode and studying the character you want to build your character’s voice for.
3. Of course, again, having a good quality mic is a definite requirement. No background noise, Crisp recording. I record in my closet for minimum room echo.

Midoriya serves as the main protagonist in this series. Striving to become the next symbol of peace as a pro hero, he is very analytical and strong-willed, giving everything he’s got in all situations, even when the odds are against him. He is also polite, timid, and above all, cares deeply for the safety of others and won’t hesitate to jump into action to save someone in need.

Habuko is a student from Isami high school and middle school friend to Tsuyu Asui. She starts off as a socially awkward girl during middle school, low on self esteem, but later loosens up during high school and becomes more sociable and friendly.
She does not have a canon dubbed voice as she only appears in this episode, but I’d still check out the OVA in the project description to get a feel for the character. I’m really interested to see how people interpret her voice, so more freedom in interpretation, but this character might be open for a while because I wanna see a variety of choices.

Bakugo serves as Midoriya’s rival and opposite. He aims to be the best over everyone else through pure determination and his talents to go with it. He is arrogant and has a very explosive personality
Being the character with the most energy in this OVA, I need whoever plays him to really deliver on the nature of his temper and angry liveliness.

Fujimi is a student from Isami high school. He doesn’t want to be underestimated by the UA high students. He is Bakugo’s inferior mirror image of his motivation and arrogance, so I need whoever plays him to deliver a similar irritated/wild energy as Bakugo.
He doesn’t have a canon dubbed voice as he only appears in this episode, but I’d still check out the OVA in the project description to get a feel for the character.
Personal Voice preference: Mid to Mid-low Range (maybe just a little lower than Bakugo's)

Sekigai is a student from Isami high school. Her character is a mirror image to Momo Yaoyorozu’s: very responsible and possesses good leadership skills. Plus, she is also her group’s class president.
She doesn’t have a canon dubbed voice as she only appears in this episode, but I’d still check out the OVA in the project description to get a feel for the character.

Uraraka is a close friend of Midoriya’s through shared kindess and empathy. She is bubbly, somewhat of an airhead at times, and doesn’t enjoy being too reckless in situations.

Mina’s personality can be described as cheerful, extroverted, and easygoing. She is a very energetic and bubbly student of Class 1A at UA High.

Mr. Aizawa is Class 1A’s homeroom teacher. He is a very monotone sounding character, often coming off as cold and tired. He pushes his students to the brink of their abilities, but doesn’t do it carelessly as his thought processes ride primarily on logic.

Tadan is a student from Isami high school. He comes off as a very timid and anxious student.
He doesn’t have a canon dubbed voice as he only appears in this episode, but I’d still check out the OVA in the project description to get a feel for the character.

Iida is the bold and loyal class president of Class 1A. He’s very meticulous about everything and cares about every students safety and health.
Really be delivering on the formalness and straightforwardness of his voice.

Jiro has a cool, chill, and focused personality. Though when she’s irritated by an idiotic comment or action, she’ll taize the person with her earphone jack quirk.

Todoroki is very introverted and prefers to keep to himself. He’s a very powerful student having both fire and ice to work with as a quirk. He is smart, focused, and unemotional in most cases.

Kaminari is the outgoing idiot of Class 1A. He’s sociable, friendly, and can be a bit flirtatious at times. He is also quick to panic in ominous situations.

Much like Iida, Momo’s personality is straightforward and bold: a character of leadership. She is extremely smart and level-headed almost all of the time.

Kirishima is Bakugo’s closest friend (the only one who can really put up with him). He is a very wild and energetic student, but unlike Bakugo he is kind-hearted and is capable of making friends with pretty much anyone.

Aoyama is suave, thinks highly of himself, is extremely flamboyant, and wants nothing less than to bathe in the spotlight and gain attention from others.

Present Mic doesn’t make a physical appearance in this episode, but his voice does announce Fujimi’s quirk, so I’m going to need an actor just for this scene.

Each one of these characters has only 1-2 lines with the rest being group noises and zombie noises. For this section, attempt to mimic as many of these characters canon voices as possible in a single audition. If you are cast, depending on how great you did for each one, you may be cast for 2, 3, or all 4 of these characters. The rest of the characters that I feel need a different voice will be given to preexisting actors.
