Moshi Audio Productions (Moshi Monsters) - Main Character Casting
Project Overview
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE FAMILIAR WITH MOSHI MONSTERS IN ORDER TO AUDITION!
If you would like to, however, you can experience the world of Moshi Monsters in moshionline.net. Feel free to adopt a Moshi Monster and experience the world yourself. My username there is Katsuma2003, so feel free to add me to your friend tree. It is thanks to the existence of Moshi Online that the Moshi Monsters game still lives even after its "death" in 2019. I dedicate this project towards the still-large fanbase of Moshi Monsters.
As far as 2022, I've once had the idea of creating audio dramas based on Moshi Monsters (2008-2019), the British online web-based MMO game by Mind Candy. Recently, I've decided to revisit that idea. This casting call is for the six main characters of Moshi Monsters: Katsuma, Poppet, Furi, Luvli, Zommer, and Diavlo. There will be a separate casting call for supporting characters.
There will be many Moshi-related audio dramas to come, and I currently have adaptations of the Music Island Missions book series in mind. The books themselves are based off Season 2 of the Super Moshi Missions from the original Moshi Monsters game. I will be writing the script while using the books as references, and I will also be editing/mixing the audio dramas themselves.
SOME THINGS TO KNOW:
- My hope is for the first episode to be released in either Q4 2024 or Q1 2025.
- Be able to commit to these long-term positions for as long as you would like.
- Let me know of your schedule. It would help me get to know you better. I myself have a schedule too. Also, make sure to be active as possible. Two weeks of inactivity may result in your role getting recast.
- When it comes to Moshi audio dramas involving crossovers, be respectful of the choice for the other franchise even if it's something you don't like (Warning: Some of the crossovers might be horror-related. I hope you're okay with that, and they will be toned down as much as possible).
- Singing is not required, but optional after recording the three audition lines for each character. This is because future audio dramas or projects may involve songs.
- You must be 13+ and have a Discord account to audition.
- Have at least decent recording/mic quality.
- Be respectful and have fun.

When auditioning, make sure to sound as close as possible to the Moshi Monsters' voices from Moshi Monsters: The Movie. If needed, you can also mix in your own take on the characters' voices. You are also allowed to audition for more than one role (Note: If you audition for more than one role, there is a chance that you might end up getting cast for not all of the roles you auditioned for. Do not feel disappointed if that is the case).
An optional position for assistant writers is open. I might need some feedback for my scripts and maybe some assistance with other scripts for future episodes/other Moshi-related audio dramas.

Katsuma is the well meaning but big-headed Moshi Monster obsessed with becoming a 'gooperstar'.
A fan of martial arts he is forever trying to perfect new kung fu moves but nearly always messes them up.
He is pretty irritable, self-centered, and may come off as narcissistic. He can also be rather clumsy and may fall over when failing to perform his "Hi-Ya Hurricane" move.

Impossibly cute, but brave and steely, Poppet is the Moshi Monster who is super-passionate about Moshlings.
She is always planting Moshling seeds in her backyard to attract more Moshlings, and is a very close to Mr. Snoodle, her pet Silly Snuffler.
She is generally caring and sweet. Poppet is optimistic, loves Moshlings, particularly kind to her friends, and her heart may as well be big as the Swooniverse.

Happy-go-lucky and constantly hungry, Furi is the dim but lovable Moshi Monster who is occasionally struck by genius (especially if food is involved).
A lumbering lummox, Furi is often getting himself and others in trouble thanks to his huge appetite. Yum!
He is cheery, upbeat, and and his main interest is food. Furi probably has a high metabolism. He can also be pretty aloof, distracted, and unintelligent.

Flirty and aloof, Luvli is the fluttering Moshi Monster with a sharp tongue.
She can perform magic and, although it is a but unreliable, stun enemies with her enchanted stalk. She sometimes flutters her eyelashes to get her way.
She is a sassy Moshi who thinks a lot about her image. Luvli has an appearance-loving mindset, which leads her to occasionally make snarky jokes about fashion sense.

Oblivious to most things, Zommer is Monstro City's resident rocker. A big fan of Wobble-ade (the 'fizziest, dizziest soda in town'), this mishmash of a monster will do almost anything, however silly, just to see what happens.
Thankfully he seems to have nine lives... or maybe even eleventy!
He tends to drool a lot, pick on his stitches, and play with his eyeball with such monstrous lack of bodily care. Zommer occasionally becomes detached and goes on his own way out of impulse.

Mischievous, impatient and short-tempered, Diavlo is the Moshi Monster who blows his top when he's angry or frustrated. This often leads to mayhem, as his head is an active volcano full of sizzly fizzly lava!
He is very hot-headed, grouchy, and does not like uncooked sausages. Even if he is the grump of the group, Diavlo can be resourceful with his expert skill in flying.
