MLP: Way of Kings - Audio drama

MLP: Way of Kings - Audio drama

Project Overview

This is an MLP adaption of the way of kings by brandon sanderson. It will be an audio drama, probably a quite long one since the book is quite large.

Right now I'm working on the prelude to the book which will translate to like an episode 0 if you will. A prologue of sorts to the series.  I need two male voice actors playing the "heralds" there will be lots more roles later on when I actually start the main episodes.

Anyway the two roles available are Jezrien and Kalak.

Jezrien is a regal man (he was formerly a king) with a bass voice and a commanding air.

  • Jezrien: (matter of fact, keeping his voice from wavering) Yes. He died holding a passage by the northern waterway.

  • Jezrien:(hesitant, sad but with finality.) I was chosen to wait for you. A...a decision has been made. It is time for the oathpact to end.

  • Jezrien:(with finality and a hint of shame) It has been decided kalak. We will go our ways and we will not seek out one another. Out blades must be left. The oathpact ends now.

Kalak is a tenor male with a nervous air, he's very broken and the actor should have an emotional range.

  • Kalak (thinking)(whispered like a mantra, fearful): What If don’t go back...If I die it just happens, I’m sent back, but I lived this time. What if- No, stop it. These are perilous thoughts, traitorous thoughts.

  • Kalak (thinking)(musing a little confused) Why..? If the others are dead the blades would have vanished...these are weapons beyond even shardblades. These are unique...precious.

  • Kalak(thinking):(starting to freak out, scared) how long? How long has it been? Centuries perhaps millennia of torture...It’s so hard to keep track, those fires, those hooks, digging into his flesh anew each day. Searing the skin off his leg then burning the fat, then driving to the bone. I can smell it. Almighty I can smell it!
