Welcome to MASTERMIND! (Ep 2)


Series Synopsis:
Following The Master after crashing his TARDIS on a mysterious planet, the renegade Time Lord is to have an adventure where, perhaps, his nigh-immorality and far superior mind may come in useful for his own advantage when he stumbles across a pliable rebellion in need of help...

What is the Project?

"Mastermind" is a Full Cast Audio Drama series set in the HTW (HyperTrain Whoniverse), this project in fact being the first in the universe! Written and directed by myself, the project follows The Master in a solo adventure across multiple 30-40 minute episodes!

The script of this episode has been written meaning you can start recording lines straight away!

Please note this is only EPISODE TWO of the entire series on here. More casting calls are to be held as the series requires more and more voice actors, so please follow to ensure you're kept up to date! Episode One has already been recorded, so we are keen to get onto episode two!


Please do not audition if you are unprepared to take on the work of 30 minute (minimum) episodes for at least a full 5-episode season which may be recorded over the course of 2023/24! Also, all auditions should have multiple versions of each line recorded (at least two of each line).

  • Casting Complete!

    Hello once again everyone!

    Another update - I have cast the three primary voice acting roles for the series!

    But if you didn't get the role you auditioned for (Lucas, Davin or Cade), don't worry! I still want to use everyone here (if still interested) in the project, as you've all shown an interested and have been all very talented!

    Over the next two days I should be able to DM all of you separately about your roles (if you've been cast directly as a character) or about another extra role!

  • Casting Later on Today/Tomorrow!

    Hello again!

    I just want to quickly inform everyone that I have chosen the roles for each person who has auditioned, however due to a sudden family event, I will have to officially start casting and talking to the cast later today or tomorrow - but be assured I have chosen and taken note of who I feel is best for each role!

  • End of Deadline!

    Hello everyone!

    I hope you've all had as much fun auditioning for this as I have had listening to the auditions! However, the deadline is now up (or rather, it shall finish tonight) so I wanted to let you all know that tomorrow I will be going over all of the auditions and choosing who gets each role!

    However, do not fret if you didn't get the role you auditioned for, as I will still offer every single person who has auditions the chance to be in a background/minor character role!

Lucas, being a "rebel" himself, is a known criminal and traitor in the eyes of the villainous Vonvite Empire. Having left the Vonvite Military due to realising the true evil nature of their cause, Lucas finds himself on his way to death row before a specific set of circumstances leave him in company of Vonvite's Rebel Forces. He is a man with an ultimately good heart, but not that of a soldier - yet - this action he sees troubles him, but he's determined to keep moving forward on his good path.

Cade, is a hard edged (yet warm hearted) soldier for the rebellion on Vonvite. Fierce in a fight and a laugh with his mates, Cade is able to still able to get in touch with his caring side to support his team when they really need it. Every Army needs a soldier like Cade.

Davin is a rebellion technician and bomber on Vonvite. Sarcastic but reliable in most instances, Davin is your run of the mill soldier-type with a few special tools in his inventory. A warrior when he needs to be, a jokester when he can be. No army is complete without a few men like this sprinkled around to help comradery (or annoy a few folks).

  • (smirking) Happens every time...

  • (calling back) Are you two going to stay hanging back there or what?!

  • Well, I’m a bomb runner and technician. I make bombs, deactivate bombs, mines, grenades and repair everyone’s tools. An Engineer of sorts you could say.

These roles are for a variety of characters be they characters with minimal dialogue or characters with merely diegetic background dialogue. Once all auditions are in, the roles will be assigned to each person who auditions for this role (given we have enough roles to go around!). Any accent/gender is allowed!

For this project, it has come to my attention that editing down the audio files has become a much larger task than first imagined. This is why we need an Audio Engineer to be able to cut down the Voice Actor's audio files into many single-take mp3 files.

Due to the no-budget/no-profit nature of this project, no payment is able to be given for this role, however FULL credit will be given when the project is released.

Please give some kind of showcase, be it a show reel or just a portfolio of examples, to show your skills in this area to help and assist with the editing of this exciting project!
