Mario and Sonic: The Worlds Strongest (or M&S:TWS for short) is an upcoming sprite series that's off its hiatus and is currently in production as of right now.

The mighty king of the infamous Koopas, Bowser is a cruel, terrible and intimidating turtle king who always tries to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and steal the princess, but his plans constantly keeps getting thwarted by the Mario Bros. He has incredible strength, and has the ability to breathe flames.
"Incredible! I’ve never seen such an object wielding so much power! Maybe I could use this to conquer all of the Mushroom Kingdom, at long last. I’m coming for you, Mario... (Evil Laughter)"
"Long time no see Mario. I see you’ve took the time to participate in this tournament, just so you can impress your adoring fans. Too bad I had to trash it . Heheheh."
"Alright, here’s the deal. Let me take the princess all for myself and you and that dinosaur of yours won’t get harmed. Unless you say otherwise, I’m going to have to send the both of you straight to the Underwhere!! Now, what would it be Mario?"
A sweet, caring princess and supreme ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach is known to be kidnapped by the evil king Bowser countless of times throughout the past 30+ years, but the Mario Bros. has always come to her rescue. She's deeply respectful for every living thing and she has even helped out the heroes.
(Shocked) "Oh no! Mario!!"
(Scared)(Being taken away)"Maaaaaarriiioooooooo!!!"
(Determined) "Balderdash! Mario always saves people in need. You’ll be sorry!"
(Angry) "I hope he kicks you right to the curb!"
Also known as the "Blue Blur", Sonic is a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog that can run at hypersonic speeds. He and his friends were transported to Mario's world thanks to the power of the Chaos Emeralds, the Master Emerald, and the Phantom Ruby. Despite his overall cocky and impatient personality, Sonic has a big heart and protects the people he loves from calamity and destruction.
"Yo! You don't by any chance happen to be Mario, right?"
"Hey everybody! Name’s Sonic; Sonic the Hedgehog. We’ve somehow stumbled upon Mario’s world, and now we’re tryin’ to figure out how we got here. This must be the work of the Chaos Emeralds. And speaking of emeralds, Egghead’s probably in Mario’s world too huntin’ for them… and it appears that he’s not collectin’ them alone. Just what is this madman plottin’ this time anyway? He's the arch-nemesis of Sonic the Hedgehog. With an IQ of 300, this mad scientist is known for his countless inventions. His main dream is to built his own empire, the Eggman Empire, and his own amusement park, but thanks to Sonic being a thorn in his side, Eggman's plans constantly gets tarnished. He teams up with Bowser to destroy both Mario and Sonic in this series.
