Maps To The Stars - SHORT FILM
Project Overview
Hello! I am searching for TWO possible voice actors for a personal story, called Map To The Stars, as part of my storyboarding project for Story Xperiential.
Unfortunately, there is a strong possibility I will be unable to pay VA's for this project, as I am a small creator doing this for the fun of it as a passion. HOWEVER, I am still willing to hear peoples rates and consider them if I can.
Map To The Stars is a sci-fi fantasy story that explores concepts of the multiverse, and the people within it. There are three main plot lines, but this project is only focusing on the third.
Styx & Charon are an unlikely duo, the multiverse's most dangerous criminal and an ex-hunter of the multiverse government The Ministry, who end up working together for their own personal gains. Styx makes a deal with Charon to prove that the government he still believes in is actually corrupt within 6 months, otherwise Charon can arrest him and earn back his title as the Ministry's top hunter. Shenanigans and drama ensue.
Their dynamic will change over time.
As these two are the main characters, I will be asking for LOTS of dialogue, and possibly multiple takes. I don't have any rules with hardware, but would definitely appreciate basic noise suppression! Of course, more information will be provided later!
I WILL NEED TO CONTACT YOU OVER DISCORD! You will need an account for these exchanges!

Mid 20s. Charon is angry, bitter and distrustful, extremely guarded (especially with Styx, at the start), and kinda uptight. Which is kinda hypocritical. Very determined and stubborn, but a much more practical thinker. Better at indepth plans rather than improvising.
Low & gruff in tone, possibly stiffer, but more emotional than Styx in the sense that he is a little easier to pick up on. Voice lightens slightly when he relaxes more. Or if you catch him off guard, in which going up an octave or voice cracking wouldn’t be out of place.
[Closest thing to a voice claim example is Anthony Warlow as Hyde.]
[Upon seeing Styx, a wanted criminal]
What are you doing here?!
[in response to "So the Ministry's once renowned "top hunter" just happens to be taking a vacation in their best prison, huh? Definitely not cause they turned on you. "]
(hissed)
They didn’t turn on me, it was my fault fair and square.
[being offered to escape prison, in exchange for information]
Absolutely not! I am not telling you anything. And I won't go anywhere with you either, I am perfectly fine staying right here, behind these bars.
Styx is cocky, over confident, a huge flirt, and extremely smart. Does not trust people easily in the slightest due to past experiences. Light on his feet and a quick thinker. Smooth talker, kinda light in tone. Sometimes hard to truly read his emotions through voice. Can get very monotone when he closes off, in a way that is somewhat noticeable and possibly a bit jarring in comparison to his normal speaking.
[Closest thing to a voice claim example is Teddy Hyde.]
[Upon seeing an old rival imprisoned, kinda grinning in a taunting way.]
Oh! Well if it isn’t the man himself-
[Disbelieving, eyebrow raised but still taunting]
So the Ministry's once renowned "top hunter" just happens to be taking a vacation in their best prison, huh? Definitely not cause they turned on you.
[Bitter smile in voice, light laughter sort of tone. Taunts continue. Yes, its like this for the entire scene.]
It's cute that you're still defending those monsters when they’re the real reason you’re locked in a cage. ...Or lack thereof, hahah! Never took you for the escaping type!
