Project Overview
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story is a mobile game spin-off of the critically acclaimed 2011 dark magical girl anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
In October of 2020, the English server for Magia Record ceased operations, never releasing all the content available on the Japanese server. In response, we started Project Mokyuu to produce a high-quality English fan-dub for Magia Record’s Arc 2 content, which will likely never receive an official English translation.
This casting call is for the main characters of Magia Record. If you are casted for any of these roles, please be aware that voicing a character is a long-term commitment. You will be expected to be on-call for any content in which your character appears. In short, before joining Project Mokyuu, be sure that you have the commitment and responsibility for the role.
If you are selected and accept the role, you are obligating yourself to a long-term commitment to be this character's voice actor.
The deadline for auditions is March 10th. Casting decisions will be made public on March 14th.
Note: Even if you weren’t cast in this particular event, if we like your audition, we may reach out to you to join our community for opportunities to audition for other characters in the future.

A veteran Magical Girl, and one of the leaders of the Kamihama Magia Union. She is kind, but firm as she heads team Mikazuki Villa.
"Well, now that we're all here together... What do you say we go shopping for some mugs for everyone?"
"No matter what happens, I want you to be the one I entrust my hope to, Iroha."
"Please, stop. My determination will crumble if you say those things...just like before... I'm begging you, please leave me alone... Leave me be... If you don't, I may end up killing you."
Another of the leaders of the Kamihama Magia Union, Iroha has grown from an unsure rookie into a determined leader. Stubborn and idealistic, Iroha dreams of all Magical Girls being able to live in peace.
"I was just thinking... All of us here, it feels like a family, don't you think?"
"No, I won't leave you alone. I won't compromise on this. No matter what happens, I'm staying by your side!"
"I want everyone to walk the same path so there'll be peace among all Magical Girls."
The self-proclaimed mightiest Magical Girl. Tsuruno is smart, upbeat, caring, and powerful, but she often takes too much on herself. Her family runs the Chinese restaurant Banbanzai, and she hopes to one day make it popular again.
"When it comes to Rumors... I'm your girl! Tsuruno Yui, the mightiest Magical Girl!"
"You've made Tsuruno Yui, the mightiest and nicest Magical Girl, very...ANGRY!"
"I've got to work harder! There's no time for me to get all worried! I'm the mightiest, aren't I? I wanna achieve amazing things, so I should be able to manage cheering up my friends."
Felicia used to be a mercenary, selling her Witch-hunting services to other Magical Girls. Brash and loud, she likes to solve her problems by simply smashing through them. She has vowed to destroy all Witches after one killed her parents.
"Huh? You wanna go?! I'll take ya out like, WHAM! BAM! BOOM!"
"There's a Witch out there, ya know! Am I NOT supposed to go hunt it down?!"
"It's more like right now, I just...can't. I can tell I'm not up for it. So time out, okay? I'm callin' time out! Just lemme have a bit longer, so I can get tougher than I am right now. I promise I won't forget."
Sana is a caring, shy girl with low self-esteem after her family shunned her. She found a new home in Mikazuki Villa with Iroha and the others. Sana loves cute things, especially the show Mr. Purrs-a-lot.
"I wanted someone to accept me being there. I wanted somewhere to belong... But I'm an invisible girl now, so I'll never be able to belong anywhere."
"Aren't you lonely, too? I was wondering...could we maybe be friends?"
"It's the best place I've ever been in my life! I feel truly safe there."
Finally healthy after being in the hospital for a long time and free to move into the future, Ui is sweet and kind, but unsure of herself. As a rookie Magical Girl she has a lot to learn, but like her older sister, Iroha, she hopes for a day where all Magical Girls can be happy.
"As a Magical Girl, I can't stand the idea of just sitting back and doing nothing."
"I want to live! I want to live, so I can achieve my dreams! Want to live, together with you, Touka, and Nemu!"
"Someday all four of us will stroll around Kamihama, healthy as can be!"
Kagome is a normal girl tasked with recording the lives of Magical Girls. She frequently gets nervous and talks through her stuffed animal. Her goal is to one day share her record with the wider world to help save Magical Girls.
"Magical Girls fight against the Witches that drive us into ruin. But they are victims of an unreasonable fate. To save them I need to spread the word. To spread the word I need to record."
I wish I could be brave enough to talk with people instead of being so secretive about this..."
"What Iroha Tamaki said that day is true, isn't it...? Witches and Familiars are dangerous beings that bring harm to people. And Magical Girls defeat them..."
A renowned folklorist, Tasuke Satomi has been searching for a way to save Magical Girls. He has been missing for the past six months.
"I know where you're coming from, but are you prepared to accept the truth, no matter how painful it may be?"
"As a couple of the limited number of people who know of Magical Girls, we're able to do what we can to show the world the truth, which should go a long way toward saving them."
"We don't know how that would be granted. Recklessly offering your life like that isn't wise."
A bubbly, outgoing Magical Girl who gets along with everyone she meets and keeps up with the latest fashion trends. Deep down, she has been hopelessly in love with the same person for years.
"Hey, thanks for all the help! Seriously, you guys were great! Kano, Emirin, thanks so much!"
"The other day, you invited me out. Then you saw me with Kano and Emirin... That's why you're upset, right?"
"Hey, come on! Don't stare at it like that! I've never done anything like this before, so I know it's not perfect, but..."
