Roles only range up to 335 words per character and will not take 1 hour of work.

All VAs will receive an Itch.io key (worth approx. $10) to the game when the project is made, and a Steam key (worth approx. $14.99) once the Kickstarter goal is funded. Any VAs speaking at least 150 words can request to be paid 5 cents per word instead of their Steam key.

Audition deadline is the 15th of October at 11:59 PM EST. It may be extended if roles aren't filled. All VAs are to have their completed lines in by 11:59 PM EST on October 23rd.

We have a few terms that we request people who work with us to follow. Please read the following, and if they apply to you, do not sign up for the project:

Under the age of 13.

You hold/defend discriminatory behaviors, hate speech, or bigotry in any way; you do not support racial equality, gender equality, lgbt+ rights, etc. We have a zero tolerance policy for straight-forward bigotry. If you have recovered from doing this in the past or are ignorant and mess up, that is considered different and will be examined case-to-case.

You condone actual bullying, seriously send death threats/kys messages, or engage in blackmail. We have to keep our audience and other colleagues safe from harmful behavior.

You identify as or support zoophiles (people who are sexually attracted to animals; feral fiction included), pedophiles (people who are sexually attracted to minors; underage fiction included), or proven abusers. Additionally, if you personally identify as a lolicon/shotacon (click here for more explanation). This includes people who have not been found guilty of a crime, only consume fiction, and/or are anti-contact but still fall into the categories.  It is to keep ourselves, our colleagues, and our audience safe.

You are joining the project for nefarious reasons. This includes just wanting to have a personal relationship with us or colleagues, attempting to scam the project out of money, taking down or spreading leaks about the project, etc. We don't want you here. (I know this is basically like asking a bank robber not to take money or something lmao, but hey-- being upfront can be a deterrent sometimes!)

You are unwilling to associate yourself with the project. Because we are such a small creator, we ask that colleagues help by reposting advertisements/events/announcements and identifying themselves as part of the project once it is released. You will not be asked to make any additional content on your own. While you can offer it if you'd like to be more involved, you are absolutely not expected to! We only ask that you share what we are already putting out there.

Latest Updates

  • Extended Deadlines & Casting

All chosen candidates have been notified via email or direct message of the roles they have gotten, a short form to fill out, and their scripts.

Non-chosen candidates should have gotten a comment on their audition letting them know that, while they have not been chosen for the roles they auditioned for, they can feel free to re-audition for the roles that have been extended!

If you got your audition in by the original deadline (Midnight, October 16th) and have not received a comment on your audition or an email/direct message here, please contact us as soon as possible so we can figure things out.

Some characters were not cast yet and have had their deadline extended. Anyone, whether you auditioned before, already have a part, or are completely new to the project can audition! The extended deadline is October 19th at 11:59 PM EST. Thank you!

  • Main Cast Finished!

MacDouglas Family Manor roles have been cast!

We will be reaching out to everyone to let them know what roles they got, if any, and sending them their scripts and the project form (to get information on the name you want in the game credits, payment if you have a paid role, etc) tonight.

There were a couple of roles that either A) did not have any auditions, or B) we were not satisfied with the auditions. We will be extending those deadlines until 11:59 PM on the 19th, with more direction for the voices for extra help to auditioners. If you didn't get a role you wanted, consider giving those a look! Additionally, the role for Gamemaker has been very difficult to decide on, so we will be reaching out to the candidates with an additional line to read for decision purposes!

Role assigned to: August P.

An older white man in his 50s-60s who shows up in the Arrival chapter. He is healthy for his age, and his voice should reflect that. Any accent is fine, but American is preferred. He's a very ominous character, introducing the player to the idea that the Manor isn't what it seems. Think of the horror movie trope of the "older person who serves as foreshadowing".

His lines include a sighing and chuckling SFX. 11 lines; 134 words + 2 SFX.
