Lupin the Third Castle of Cagliostro Abridged
Project Overview
This will be the third Lupin Parody we're doing, and sixth abridged project total. Linked above you can find an example of our previous work and commitment to seeing a project through to the end. All actors must be at least 18 years old to audition and have a discord for both contact and direction notes as you will be live directed on your takes if you get the role. Please deliver your takes in AAABBBCCC format so that we can see your range in delivery and voice. We are looking for more naturalistic performances over goofy anime voices, and welcome improvisation. We are looking for high quality mics with no background noises so send in unedited audio files so that we can best determine the audio quality. I look forward to working with whomever nails what we are looking for.

We are looking for an imposing villain who can have a commanding stage presence in their scenes while not going full chew the scenery ham. Looking for a baritone to bass range with the regal presence of a noble, stuck in his ways and who sees himself as above everyone else in the room. Were expecting a neutral accent, but feel free to experiment with your takes/lines. We ask for three of each line to see your range.

And a glare that would kill a commoner, such a queen you’ll be Clarisse. It would be a waste to gun you down with that mangy wolf, so get the ring and come here. (the first section needs to capture the villainous infatuation the count has with his niece Clarisse, and you need to be comfortable selling that disturbing quality of his character. the latter half needs to be a calm forceful command. The count doesn't need to raise his voice for his orders to be followed)
He may have been the elder brother, but he lacked the will to rule. I was the one willing to grab destiny by the neck and break her skull on the rock of my ambition! (Smug gloating, you hated your brother and in the end you had the last laugh. Even all these years later, killing him brings a smile to your face.)
Do you know why I call you my little ruin? Because ruins are what humans leave behind when empires fall. Ruins are eternal and are the brush we leave across the edifice of Earth. The cagliostro royal family is nothing but ruins of their home and you. You will outlive me. I know how age works, and in all likelihood you'll be the one to kill me. All those deadly escape attempts prove that you're already much more fit for the throne than your father could ever hope to be. In time, you’ll be a far crueler ruler than I ever could. I have ruined the ruins of the cagliostro family. My little ruin. (This is your big villain monolgue at the end. Turn out to face the audience and revel in your villainy. I want you to give me chills and every time you call clarisee "my little ruin" make the audience creeped out))
Were looking for someone to play a jaded and bitter take on the classic lupin girl who started it all. Were not looking for full deadpan but more just a character who's been in a bad situation her whole life and has been turned cold and bitter and throughout the movie her arc will be slowing warming up because of lupin's presence but not in the most stable of ways.

Ever since the tragic death of my parents, I was doomed to be shackled to my uncle's clutches...I am currently trying to not look a gift horse in the unfortunately tight pants. (jaded and bitter, sure this man has come to try and save you, but he's failed once before and he'll fail again.)
Only if you swear to let this thief and his compatriots go. Agree to these terms, and I'll marry you without fuss. (Your on a rooftop, bullets are flying and you need to make this desperate, bitter compromise.)
I- it's not princess. I’m my own queen now, and yes, he stole something very precious to me. My heart. (her ending line where her arc is complete, this needs to be sincere and happy to contrast where she started from, but just a subtle bit of tension in it. There's daggers in that smile)
