Warrior Cats: Lost Stars
Project Overview

INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for Lost Stars, the first book of The Broken Code, written by Erin Hunter. This is a smaller casting call, as we're only casting for 15 characters, 12 male and 3 female. If you're cast for a smaller role you will be asked to provide lines for additional, smaller roles. All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be comfortable speaking this language.
We will showcase all of our voice actors on our website. The showcase includes voice actors' contact information and links to a demo reel, plus any other information requested. Voice actors are also listed verbally in the credits of each show.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is March 31st, 2021, though some roles may be cast sooner. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full script is ready to release to voice actors and we are ready to start on storyboards. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles by April 20th.
CONTACT INFORMATION
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you can still audition, however, we strongly, strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We've used Discord with other projects and it has been extremely helpful. (if you wish to contact me directly my discord is WolfIsConfused#6828)
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
-First, just have fun. If you feel stressed, or are uncomfortable with something do not hesitate to contact us!
-Please submit clean recordings (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to us :)
-Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three takes would be preferred, but feel free to send more. However please at least remove the takes you don't wish to be used.
-Please submit your recordings to us either through email or through discord in as few .wav or mp3 files.
-We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly, and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
-Lastly, since we are planning on doing multiple books/seasons, so we'd like to cast people who will be able to stick with us for a while.
+Extra thing, do not be afraid if you have an accent, speech impediment, etc. all voice actors are welcomed here!

Dewspring is the mentor of Rootpaw, he is middle-aged, though acts more like an older brother to Rootpaw than a teacher. His voice is on the deeper side, but is soothing.
Let's not get our tails in a twist. Whatever the problem is, we can rely on Leafstar, Hawkwing, and the medicine cats to guide us through it.
Poppyfrost, have you got bees in your brain? Or do you think we’re mouse-brained? Given everything that’s happened lately, with so many cats hungry and desperate, do you really believe any warrior would be bold enough to start a quarrel over prey?

Puzzled Pete
Tree is the father of Rootpaw, he is the only Meditator of the Clans, and his job is to settle arguments. He has a fatherly type voice, but feel free to experiment!
This is why you should be your own cat. Like it or not, you have a different ancestry from most of the other young cats in SkyClan. The way of the warrior is not the only way, and you should be grateful for the chance to see that. There’s more to life than fighting and showing yourself off as a strong cat. It’s not always about who is the biggest and bravest.
The leaders have suggested using a thick branch. If they position it over a rock, they can position it to hit the ice much harder. They hope that breaking the ice will help the medicine cats contact StarClan.

Harestar is the leader Windclan, he is the youngest of the 4, but is still a capable leader. His voice isn't high but isn't a deep booming voice either.
Yes, I agree too. WindClan has suffered the worst of this harsh weather. Hunting is nearly impossible, and my cats are starving. We need StarClan’s guidance, so we must do all we can to restore the connection.
I’m impressed with what I’ve heard. I know Tigerstar believes his son has a unique connection to StarClan, and after what he did for Bramblestar, I think he might have a point.

At least you have shelter from the trees. Up on the moor, the wind is strong enough to blow cats off their paws. I had to set Larkwing’s dislocated shoulder when she lost her balance and fell down into a gully.
We might as well end the meeting. It’s obvious nothing is going to happen tonight. Perhaps we’ll have better luck next time—surely the weather will have warmed up by then.
Does any cat think it’s strange that only ShadowClan can communicate with StarClan now? After all, if you think back, a lot of our problems started with ShadowClan. They allowed Darktail in, and that caused their Clan to fall apart and for a while, they had to merge with SkyClan.

Nothing like this ever happened back in the gorge. Even when StarClan wasn’t sending us any visions or signs, we always felt that they were with us. It’s different here... I keep wondering if leaving the gorge and coming here has weakened our connection to our ancestors. Did we make the wrong choice?

When Clan leaders die, they go to StarClan and receive wisdom before they take up their next life and return to go on leading their Clan. But what happens if Bramblestar can’t reach StarClan? Will he just die, and never come back?

Graystripe is an elder of Thunderclan. He's a little goofy and really really old, though he likes to act like he's still a teenager. He tends to mix names up... and forget what he's talking about in the middle of his sentences.
Dont forget the Grand- The Great Storm. Bramblestar was a new leader then, but he kept our Clan safe until we could return to our home here in the stone hollow.
I remember moons and moons ago Mile- Milly… Milly and I had walked for a long time. We were looking for the Tundra camp. [thunderclan camp]

But surely that’s just a result of the cold and the Moonpool being frozen? I’m confident that all we have to do is be patient and wait for the warmer weather.

This sickness is really bad. And it’s getting worse. What will happen if Bramblestar dies? What will happen to ThunderClan? Squirrelflight would be a good leader, but what if she can’t meet with StarClan and receive her nine lives?

Oakfur is an elder of Shadowclan, he is wise and has endured many hardships- which he loves to tell stories about.
Things didn’t exactly go well when WindClan and RiverClan decided to close their borders recently. They just helped Darktail and his Kin to grow more powerful.
