Light Devours | Bullet Hell Video Game

Light Devours | Bullet Hell Video Game

Project Overview

"Light Devours" is a Monochrome Black-And-White Game where you dodge Saws, Thorns, Lasers, Bullets and Blades for 10 Minutes. At its core it's a Bullet Hell game where you control the player character primarily with your mouse.
Currently it's in early access and you can check out a very unfinished version of Light Devours here.

I started working on this game a long time ago and admittedly there hasn't been much progress since then. Recently I've been thinking of picking it up again though. I've always done everything myself, including the programming, spriting and composing of this game's assets, but I've always felt like I had a big weakness when it comes to making music.

This is why I'm opening this project here to find some people who might be interested in helping out with composing for the game! I can't offer much in return, though I hope that which I offer is incentivizing enough.

If there is something unclear or missing feel free to leave a comment or to write me a message.

I'd like to have high energy music for my video game which truly captivates the player, it should build up lots of hype!

Carpenter Brut, Waveshaper, Danger and The Toxic Avenger are all musicians that make the type of music I would like to see! All of these composers have contributed to making the phenomenal OST of Furi, listen to it here so you get an idea of what I'd like!

I composed some tracks by myself for the game that always have a BPM of 120 and use a single 8-Bit instrument, though I'd definitely like to get some more range. So basically you can choose any structure and instruments!

Due to the nature of the game the songs will not be tied to specific events but they will rather randomly play when in the main game mode. So it'd be nice if the songs could have an actual beginning and end!

As for the payment, I'll be giving out 7€ PER song that will be taken into the game. I don't currently have a job so I can't really afford to give too much unfortunately.
PayPal is the only way I'll be able to pay you.
