LEGO Batman Mini-Series
Project Overview
This is a short LEGO Stop Motion animated series comprised of five 15-18 page episodes. All episodes are already written and you will be sent all episodes your character partakes in depending on your role should you be cast. The idea is to get all voicework in before animating to sync movements with character's lines, so the deadline for turn-in upon casting would be up to a month maximum. I can direct you on Discord should you so chose or supply you with directional notes should you prefer that. More details on the project will be divulged (as well as references to my previous works) upon casting.
File type preferences: mp3 or .wav
Please only audition if your mic has zero ambience and no background noise, or at least reduce & limit the noise as much as possible.
Bare in mind, not all character details are provided and this is not the entire character list. You may be asked to voice other or more characters and could be surprised to discover the role you are playing is slightly different from what you expected.

I'm looking for a relatively 'unique' and unorthodox Batman voice. NOT a Kevin Conroy or Troy Baker impersonation. Something more along the lines of Rino Romano from The Batman animated series is acceptable.
When crafting the voice: Don't think of Bruce Wayne, think of BATMAN.

When I was a kid, we had a rat infestation in the manor. No matter what we did, we couldn’t get rid of them. Poison. Trapping. The problem was we couldn’t find the nest. One day, Alfred caught one of the rats. He tied a little bell around its foot. We followed the sound of the bell through the ceiling and walls. Alfred found the nest. No more infestation.
Am I really making a difference? I wonder if this is what my father would have wanted. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just a part of the problem.
The only people afraid of me are the ones who did something wrong. Did you do something wrong?
Instead of Alfred Pennyworth, this series will be highlighting his daughter Julia Pennyworth. Like her father, Julia should speak with a British accent. More Cockney, East-End of London. The accent can be heavy or light depending on personal preference.

Sorry if you wind up looking like Frankenstein’s monster. I’m not as versed in first aid as my father. I’m afraid I was crocheting instead of stitching.
So you showed you’ve got a soft spot other than your wounds. It’s not weakness to trust people.
Excellent. They say broiled salmon is best when you let it come to room temperature and sit.
This Dick Grayson is much more matured than usually depicted. Beyond Robin & Nightwing, he serves as the GCPD Police Commissioner. Channel an older version of this character.

You’re looking into Cobblepott, right? I thought this image he shared from his security tapes would be of interest.
Right.. I know you hate making small talk though, so I’ll get to the point now.
Nice try, but there’s no use trying to sneak up on ME.
A younger iteration of Robin reminiscent to that of Tim Drake from The New Animated Series played by Mathew Valencia. However, depicted with a brasher attitude similar to that of Jason Todd.

We're partners, aren't we? You should've told me!
It was either distract him as Robin or let my classmates die. Which would YOU have chosen?
You're not alone anymore. You can trust me on this.
You can never go wrong with Mark Hamill, but don't go too heavy on the impersonation. I'm NOT looking for anything like Heath Ledger, but any unorthodox approaches would be greatly considered, akin to what John DiMaggio did in Under The Red Hood or Michael Emerson from Dark Knight Returns.
Consider: Experiment with how Joker would sound without Hamill's influence.

Just do one last favor for me, pup! When you find this cheap knockoff of my act, you tell them, never rub another man’s rhubarb!
I know you’re there. I may not be able to see you, but I can still tell. Come on, you can’t hide forever!
Ah, there’s never one without the other! Do you have any idea of the time, young man? Your father and I have been worried sick!
I always loved Robert Barton Englund as a casting choice for the voice of Scarecrow, but I can also imagine Tobin Bell's Jigsaw voice. Something raspy in between those two could emulate Crane nicely. On the other hand, if you want to go for a Henry Polic voice like The Animated Series, feel free to take a more classic approach.
DO NOT rely on filters or any form of voice modification or alteration for your audition. Any sort of voice distortion would only be applied when someone is under the effect of Crane's toxin, so Crane's ordinary sounding voice is important.

I’m afraid you’ve come poking your bat ears in the wrong place this time. I have no evil schemes. No fear dust hidden up my sleeves or vials of toxin boiling in the science lab.
Batman! You sure know how to instill fear in someone through sheer presence alone. Most impressive.
What keeps The Batman awake at night? I wonder..
Give me a full blown Michael Ansara from The Animated Series impersonation. You can include a filter or voice modification if you'd like since Victor Fries will be in his suit for all speaking parts.

So I didn't imagine that chill in the air. Batman, I presume.
When I first saw her preserved in the ice, the blood in my own veins ran cold. Can you imagine any worse thing than seeing who you love as cold as a corpse?
You will not stand in my way. This is your final warning. Move.
I can't imagine any other voice than Nolan North's Arkham games Penguin. It's a bit of an argument whether his accent is Cockney British or Australian, and I'd lean more towards Australian, but it's a fair toss up for you to choose between.

You seem to have gotten my Sauvignon, and I your- (PAUSE TO SIP) Your ginger ale.
Ah, hell.. Ain't this a familiar sight.
Lavish, ain't it? Took me awhile to get here legitimately, but alas, here I am.
Keep the tone light like Gina Gershon from The Batman animated series. Most iterations lean too heavily into a low seductive tone but that's not necessary.

There goes my element of surprise. Now just who else could be breaking in here at the same time as me?
You know, breaking and entering is a crime.
Corner a cat, you're bound to get scratched.
Tara Strong is the definitive voice of Harley Quinn, but please don't go too heavy on the Brooklyn accent. Keep the accent very light.

All I got are knock knock jokes, but I don't see a door anywhere, only your head!
I'm only here for my interview, don't let anything get misconstrued.
I didn't think he would hurt me.. hurt ME.. Guess the joke was on me, huh?
