(SOUND CREW/AUDIO ENGINEER NEEDED!) Legend Has It... (Original Series) | Casting Call
Project Overview
NOTE: All roles have been filled already. I'm just looking for sound crew/audio engineer.
Hello, everyone! I am Noah Biondi, the director/writer/producer of Legend Has It..., a series I've been planning on making for quite some time already. This series will be creating using (I know, get the eyes rolling) Vyond, but don't worry - I promise I will emphasize as high quality as possible for this project, but in order for me to do that, I need your help! So now that you've opened up this page, feel free to take some time to read about Legend Has It... so that you can be able to get a lot better of an idea as to what this series actually is.
Before all else, however, it's best you familiarize yourself with my content before you proceed. I already mentioned Vyond will be used with this project, but I'm not like all the other people who use it just to make cheap quality "grounded" videos of characters they personally don't like - I like to say I put effort in the content I put out. If you're interested in my content output, here's the link to my channel. If you're already familiar, that's great! If not, it is highly recommended you familiarize yourself with what I've created in the past to help set your expectations for what this is to be.
This project is EXTREMELY secretive, so secretive in fact that I won't be displaying any explainer videos on YouTube nor will I be sharing any internal details beyond a vague plot summary and a few lines of dialogue for characters to say. This is so that nothing significant ends up getting leaked.
WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT?
Legend Has It... tells the story of young prince Edwin of House Autrulon, a medieval-style kingdom frozen in time and situated amidst a bustling contemporary city. Edwin had been forced his whole life to train days on end by his ruthless father King Abbadon, but Edwin had always grown an appreciation for his peoople and a sensitive soul, completely unwilling to put others in harm's way and refusing to become the source of pain towards others. Having been shielded from the outside world his whole life, Edwin's adolescence becomes a troubling one - he grows worried that one day he'd have to take responsibility and lead his people, even if being in the position of high authority is something that makes him tremble with fear. What Edwin also doesn't understand, however, is that House Autrulon is quite a controversial kingdom, home to a history of betrayals and failed alliances, as well as a long line of rulers who failed to prioritize the well-being of their people and instead favored bloodlust and vengeance to those who opposed them. All of this fear and anxiety culminates in his sixteenth birthday by becoming victim to a devastating attack directed towards the royal family of House Autrulon by someone rejected their position as the successor to the throne - Edwin's older brother. Edwin realizes his destiny had been chosen by fate and, with the help of Autrulon's allies, must set an end to his brother's wrath and cure the wounds of his kingdom's past to create a future of peace and serenity.
The series will combine elements of fantasy, comedy, drama, action, mystery, and romance. It will take place in a contemporary setting, even if a lot of the characters and worldbuilding is heavily medieval-inspired. The series will incorporate its aforementioned genre elements akin to an anime, while also maintaining, for lack of a better term, my personal flair.
GENERAL INFORMATION
This casting call will be for permanent roles used throughout the series. All cast/crew members are expected to be able to stick with this project as however long it may take for it to be completed. If you have any other projects you are currently working on or are apart of simultaneously, that's perfectly fine - just remember to stick with this project's guidelines so that you haven't lost track of our progress.
This project is entirely nonprofit - as in, I don't intend to profit off of this, therefore roles won't be paid. As my content is still developing and I am of aspiring talent, I haven't had much experience in the content creation field, therefore I haven't garnered up much financial benefits. The only real budget for this series will be the monthly subscription for Vyond (which is honestly pretty overpriced in my opinion).
All roles are in the English language, though different accents may be used.
Every episode, I will be crediting all who help work on this series - both in the opening/closing credits and the descriptions of each episode. I won't be displaying your real names, just your usernames and links to other content you've worked on - unless this is your first project, of course.
We will all be communicating with each other via a Discord server, where production will take place. It will be private to cast and crew members only, so I will only be posting the invite links through direct messages in your auditions.
All cast/crew audition deadlines will be on September 1, 2022. If there are not enough recipients, the deadline will extend. An additional casting call will be created for emergency roles if necessary, and other casting calls will be created to cast people for different episodes- so you may have another chance if you are not accepted initally.
Age ranges, accents, etc. don't entirely matter with auditions. As long as you are able to fulfill what I am looking for, I will be satisfied.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Consider this my directorial debut, if you will. This will be my first collaboration for my up-and-coming channel, and if this goes well I hope to continue to do more collaborative projects in the future. I will do my absolute best to be as good of a director as possible, and I hope we are all able to get along and have fun working on this project. I will keep you all up to date with deadlines and changes to the project, and I am fully confident in my abilities to get this done. I will be as good as you all need me to be.
WHAT I ASK OF YOU
As a collaborative project is a collaborative effort, it is always best you maintain a healthy working environment with your fellow cast members and crewmates. We won't be able to get anything accomplished if everyone and everything becomes overwhelmed with dysfunction and chaos among the team.
I'm swinging for the fences with this project, and so should you. Maximum possible effort should be used when creating this series, as this is something that benefits from the passion of its creators. People should be able to feel how much hard work and effort was put into this series. Even if it is a project created using Vyond, pretend as if you are working on a professional production - that is what this should be to all of you. We are definitely going to be having a lot of fun collaborating on projects, but it's always important your work ethis also remain strong. We should all reach for greatness so we can achieve greatness - remember, every single person counts.
As far as mic recordings go for auditions, everything should sound as clean and crisp as possible - try to record your lines with high-quality microphones and a quiet, open space to ensure the best audio quality possible. From there on, audio will be modified to hopefully sound even better. Please submit all used audio files in one folder for me to access, and be sure to label which audio clips will be final for the series once we do reach that point - it would cause much less confusion on everyone's behalf.
As I mentioned earlier, please make sure you're able to stick with this series in its course, however long that may take. Again, if you're also involved with other projects that's perfectly fine, just remember to not lose track of this one as well.
Be sure to meet every single deadline. I will be putting all video footage together, so I expect to have everything ready hopefully all at once. If material is late a few days, that's okay. If material is late well past its initial deadline, however, there may be consequences.
Have fun! We're a social community at the end of the day. It's best we all maintain a good spirit, it'll make work easier!
FINAL THOUGHTS
I hope this project can be able to benefit all of us. Everyone here at CCC strives to be able to find their voice somewhere, and I hope Legend Has It... can help people find theirs. I look forward to meeting all of you and working together as a team!

Edwin (ED-win) is the main character of the series. He is the prince of the kingdom of Autrulon (AH-true-LAWN), and the secondborn son of King Abbadon - yet despite his position as secondborn, he had been blessed with his future as his older brother Soren wasn't. He is very much a spirited young man, but his emotions are easily capable of overcoming him and thus he has difficulty interacting with others. He is often victim to abuse by his father, King Abbadon, and due to his rather naive outlook of the world, he tends to act quite apprehensive. He is still someone who is innocent and full of joy, however, as he long embraces his hopes and dreams of happiness overcoming hatred. He always strives to be as good as possible for his people - even if he isn't always at his most emotionally stable.
Edwin's voice should sound very light and soft but also spirited and supercharged by emotion, essentially capturing his coming of age and impending loss of innocence. It should be a quiet and calm tone of voice, but with clear determination.
(You are introducing yourself to someone else, displaying pride in who you are.)
"I am Edwin, son of Abbadon, and the rightful heir to the throne of House Autrulon!"
(You are not feeling very confident at the moment and have just been reprimanded by your father.)
"Maybe I'm not meant to be your heir..."
(You have just witnessed the death of a comrade. You are in complete shock and anguish, and you don't know how to respond.)
"They're... they're dead!"
(Just to make things clear, "Anahera" will be pronounced as "AH-nuh-HEH-ra" or "AH-nuh-HEH-da" depending on who says her name. For Anahera's voice, use the "AH-nuh-HEH-ra" pronunciation.)
Anahera is the princess of an allying kingdom to House Autrulon, this one called House Asladia (AS-lay-DEE-uh). She is someone who for her whole life forced herself to aspire towards greatness, meaning being the best at everything she could possibly be. But this mentality does tend to overpower her, and it causes her to occasionally lose control of herself - though she hides that side of herself from others so that they don't lose faith in her. Outside of her duties, she is a tsundere-type who can act a bit aggressive towards others in her own space, but does try to make sure people don't know how she really feels about being a "perfect child".
For Anahera's voice, she should be overflowing with emotion and spirit, someone with a wide arrange of behavioral traits and only acts formal when she is supposed to. If you want a reference, her voice should be reminiscent of the English-dubbed voices of various tsundere-type characters in anime.
(You are introducing yourself to others, emphasizing how spirited you are.)
"I am Princess Anahera of House Aslaidia, and I am to succeed my father with honor!"
(You have just been complimented on your successful training abilities.)
"It's an honor you feel so highly of me, father."
(In a vulnerable moment, you are conflicted towards how you feel at the moment and the future of you and your people.)
"I've done so much for others, but so little for myself. Am I really willing to go through the lengths of sacrificing what I want for the benefit of others?"
Soren (SORE-rin) is the main antagonist of the series, and is also the brother of Edwin and the firstborn son of Abbadon and Aisha. He was meant to be the successor to the throne after Abbadon, but due to being met with harsh disapproval from his father, Soren was exiled from House Autrulon and forced to live among the commoners in the city, where he managed to gain a connection with them and a bitter hatred towards the royals. His presence is quite sinister and intimidating.
Being a character with a dark past and an intimidating demeanor, Soren's voice is both chaotic and egotistical, meant as a juxtaposition for how much he struggles to maintain himself internally. He's nearly reached a point where he's given into his demons.
(You are threatening to kill the king.)
"What's been taken from me... is about to become mine... once and for all! Finally, my rightful position!"
(You are facing your father, angry at him for everything he's done to you.)
"You ask of who've I've become, yet you don't know you were responsible for my transformation!?! How utterly foolish of you... Abbadon!"
(You notice someone you could use to your advantage, snickering a bit.)
"Oh, what do we have here?"
Abbadon (AB-buh-DAWN) is the current king of House Autrulon when the story takes place, and also the father of Edwin and Soren and the wife of Aisha. He is a man corrupted by power and the constant aspiration to be as strong as possible, completely sacrificing the logical side of ruling in his devotion to have the most powerful people possible, as he is well aware of Autrulon's controversial stance and knows people are out there to get him. He has an unstable relationship with his wife, but he completely disregards his son Edwin, incredibly displeased at his longings for peace and happiness and believing he is not worthy of the throne.
Abbadon's voice should be formal and proper (kingly is a good way to put it), but also very aggressive. He is someone who only believes in pure power, and his voice should reflect that.
(You are dismissing another person for taking up your time.)
"I am a man of many responsibilities, and yours isn't one of them. Now leave me be."
(You are criticizing your son's ambitions.)
"Your insistence demands such a pathetic life. Your carelessness to your duties demonstrates your unworthiness."
(You are provoked when fending off an enemy.)
"Remove yourself at once! Unworthy scum like you has no place in House Autrulon!"
Aisha (EYE-shah) is the queen of House Autrulon, the wife of Abbadon and the mother of Edwin and Soren. She is very loyal in her devotion to her family, and rules fundamentally as queen, ensuring her people are as safe and happy as possible - even going to desperate measures to do so. She cares very much for her son Edwin and disapproves entirely of the way her husband treats him, wishing Edwin wasn't subjected to such abuse. She is also the occasional narrator of the series, overlooking the events that happen.
Aisha is a very kind and caring woman, so her voice should sound very motherly and loving. She is someone who acts on faith and devotion, so it would be best for all emotions to be emphasized when these extreme moments would occur.
(You are narrating the story.)
"Legends are told through those inspired and passed on to different generations. From father, to son, to great grandson, legends are made to shine a beam of light in the dark, to be there for those who need them the most."
(You are comforting your son in a moment of despair.)
"There's nothing to worry about, dear... your father doesn't hate you. Not one bit."
(You are arguing with your husband about the way he treats his son.)
"You've had this argument so many times, Abbadon, and they should stop right this instant! Edwin is old enough to make his own decisions and to go his own path, if he doesn't wish to devote his life to violence, he doesn't need to!"
Jeronim (JURR-oh-NIM) is the commander of the most trusted subjects in Autrulon's royal army, and Edwin's personal training instructor. He always forces himself to act as loyal as possible around Abbadon, but with Edwin he is far more laid-back and approachable, while still displaying respect towards him. He is quite valiant, both in and away from battle.
Jeronim is someone with a lot of pride, but is also as human as can be. His voice should reflect both his courageous side and his more natural side.
(You are acknowledging a command sent by the king.)
"Yes, Your Majesty. I will see to it right away."
(You are about to lead your army to battle.)
"We are all gathered here at battle, but we are not just here to fight, we are here to prevail!"
(You are proud of another person for their maturity.)
"From when you started training, you've matured quite a lot, sire. I think you've grown your ambitions, and that innocence that still remains within you... it's best you keep it. You'll never know when the world will need it the most."
Xavier (ECKS-a-VEE-er) is the personal bodyguard and servant of Anahera, who both met at the most unlikely of circumstances. He is very loyal to Anahera and confidently carries out every task she assigns him, but he is very well aware of Anahera's condition. He tries his best to be there to help Anahera, but he also acts jokingly with her simultaneously.
Xavier should sound like a pretty cool guy you'd probably hang out with, as that's what his personality is. He only breaks from this when he has to act protective of others, particularly Anahera.
(You are trying to calm someone else down.)
"You can be as honest with me as you'd like. I'm one of your loyal subjects, I'm not your enemy."
(You are trying to see to a task that may seem a bit complicated.)
"Are you sure I'm the right person for this job?"
(You are just hanging out with a couple of other friends.)
"You've all been doing alright, haven't you? I only hope for the best."
Ericus (ER-rick-US) is the father of Anahera and the king of House Aslaidia. He used to be a very confident ruler with nothing but pride and joy, but has now grown old and sickly. He very much cares for his daughter and wants her to be both as powerful and graceful as possible, even as his health slowly but painfully deteriorates.
Ericus should sound very elderly-like, but also very much in pain. He has trouble concentrating on the hall and communicating with others, and constantly needs assistence to do things as simply as moving around.
(You are complimenting your daughter after her training went well.)
"Well done, my daughter. You're a naturally born warrior!"
(You are on the ground, very sickly, coughing as you speak.)
"I'm fine... I'll be fine..."
(You are warning someone to leave you be.)
"Please go. Please go now. Just leave me alone."
Eliza (EE-lie-ZUH) is a friend and servant of Anahera, and is also best friends with Holly. The two get along quite nicely, though Eliza tends to act a bit rambunctious at times. Anahera is sometimes annoyed with her, but can't help but see part of herself in Eliza.
Eliza's voice should sound very enthusiastic and bouncy, but also calm in her quiet moments. She is supercharged but also very kind and friendly.
(You are excited to meet more people.)
"Oh, lovely! I can't wait to see all of the different kingdoms to see just how many bright, shiny faces there are in the world!"(You are eagerly displaying confidence.)
"Absolutely! You can count on me!"
(You are angry at someone for hurting an ally.)
"Hey! Leave them alone right now! What did they ever do to you?"
Holly (HAW-lee) is a friend and servant of Anahera, and Eliza's best friend. Holly is rather distant emotionally, and is shy around others. She has somewhat of a crush on Eliza, but refuses to admit it.
Holly's tone of voice should sound extremely shy and apprehensive, and if not, it should be very calm and soft. She tends to be quite anxious socially and isn't the best at communication, only pretending to act confident occasionally if it benefits others.
(You are trying to assure someone else they'll be okay.)
"You can count on us, princess! Nothing will come our way!"
(You are trying to talk with someone else, but aren't sure if they're there.)
"Hello? Hello? Um... are you there? Anyone? Hello?"
(You are crying because you think you did something wrong when in actuality, you didn't.)
"I'm sorry... I really am sorry...! What can I do to make things better?"
Curteis (KURT-iss) is a priest of the Temple of Autrulon. He doesn't appear in the series often, but he is devoted to his duties and quite fond of the royals.
His voice should be gentle and kind, easily approachable for others to speak with.
(You respond to someone referring to you by your official title.)
"No need for titles. Just call me Curteis."
(You are complimenting another.)
"I know you very well, Prince Edwin. If anyone were to make House Autrulon a wonderful place... it would be you."
(No need for a third quote.)
Extra voices that will be used for minor characters throughout the series. These will be useful if we nee any stand-in voices.
(FYI, you don't have to read the 3 audition lines if you don't want to. You can say whatever lines you'd like for this role.)
"Hello! How may I help you today?"
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, I really didn't!"
"Oh... well, that's new."
This position will be available for the singer(s) for both opening theme and ending theme of the series. You will most likely be spending your time on this project collaborating with me, the composers and the sound crew.
Keep in mind: there can be more than 1 singer for both the opening and ending theme!
Doesn't matter what you sing as your audition to be honest, as long as it works.
If you do want any guidance, however, probably use this audition as an opportunity to showcase your wide range of notes you're able to sing to. It's best there's variety in your audition, which can create a lot more variety to work with.
I got nothing else. Good luck!
There are many components to the production manager role, but what's most important is that you help overlook the entire cast and crew to make sure everyone is doing their part, as well as to assist with things like aiding in each episode's post-production process as well as overlooking production while I am absent.
