L'Manberg: The Musical
Project Overview
The L'Manberg Musical is a musical retelling of the events of the Dream SMP youtube/Twitch series. Directed and run by popular fan lyricist and composer Ian Has Opinions. The project spans the formation of the fledgling nation of L'Manberg, following the conflicts and challenges they face. From a turbulent election, exile, and more wars than you could count, follow the story of Wilbur Soot, TommyInnit, Tubbo, and Fundy, as they start a country, fight for their land, and live an american Dream.
Requirements:
- Good quality microphone, or if your quality is a little sub-par, the ability to post-edit it to a better quality.
- No background noise
- Willingness to collaborate and work in partnership with a number of writers
- Commitment (as many of these characters have a main, long sustained role and recasting would be a shame)
- A Discord account (this is where we will communicate with each other and send files)

Wilbur is the stoic leader who slowly falls into insanity when he loses everything he worked for. People auditioning for Wilbur need to be able to convey both a happy, stable Wilbur and the manic, insane Wilbur. The VA for Wilbur will have a lot of lines in the musical, so the VA needs to be able to commit a good amount of time for recording and revisions.
Wilbur sings frequently throughout the musical, so this VA must be able to sing slower songs, group pieces, happy songs, and the grungy songs that Wilbur takes on after he goes insane. Part of Wilbur’s singing after he goes insane is emotional vocal flairs like vocal growls. Vocal growls can damage one’s vocal chords if not done properly, so we ask that you take voice lessons or ask a music teacher before attempting them.
Wilbur is one of the streamers who makes music himself, so we would recommend listening to his music and taking vocal cues from his singing style.
