Kirby's Knightmare: Meta's Quest for the Blue Rose (Comic Dub)
Project Overview
Welcome to this project of mine! It's a dub for my comic "Kirby's Knightmare: Meta's Quest for the Blue Rose". The plot is fairly simple though somewhat tragic and follows some darker themes, so please keep that in mind when auditioning for some characters. A tip would be to be confident in your ability to provide emotion in voicing the characters. The comic itself was known for often making the readers emotional in some parts, and being able to reflect/replicate that emotion here for the dub would be amazing ^^
The dub project isn't due to start until October, however casting will go on until Oct 14th
So, we have plenty of time to find actors. There isn't really much more to say other than unfortunately no, you can't use your demo reels to apply for a voice, as I would rather you use the suggested auditioning lines, as I grabbed them from the comic.

Isn’t a lead in this comic dub specifically but is considered a lead in the series in general. Has a reserved actor, however looking to try something new. Not high or pitchy, looking for a male/teen who's capable of higher tones, nothing that low.

“Besides! I can’t go because I uhh… I’m suddenly allergic to the outside! So I gotta stay here and help you with your duties!” {Improv-like, trying to seem convincing}
“After you told me about how you met Galacta and that friend of yours, well… I decided that I didn’t just want to know about the sword. Instead, I also wanted to know about you and your past I guess.” {thoughtful, genuine}
(Future Kirby)
“I'm sorry, I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else. Y’see, My name is Kirby. Kirby of well… a lot of things, but that’s not important.” {matured, polite}
One of Meta’s closest childhood friends. Was taken in by Galacta at a very young age and mostly raised by him. Has a dream of discovering The Blue Rose blade for personal reasons, however his ideals later change when realizing who it was he really cares about. Listed as child but young teen would also suffice.
“Hey… Don’t blame it all on me! Sir Falspar wanted help and I just couldn’t say no!” {pouty and defensive}
“It’s uhhh… This, right here. {short pause} It’s called The Blue Rose! It’s a legendary sword. One day I want to go out and find it for myself! {pause] But, I guess that sounds a bit silly. Going after legendary swords is a crazy dream, isn’t it? {determined then sheepish}
“Hey! But what if we worked together!? I bet if we both tried really hard, then we’d be able to get The Blue Rose, and Galaxia too! So what do’ya think? Let’s promise that we’ll get those swords, together!” {determined and hopeful}
Meta while he was young is small and shy. Being quite the introvert. He’s also a pessimist to a degree, but despite that, his friend's will and a promise he made to him encourage him to keep pressing forward, however at times that can lead to his actions not being entirely thought through and narrow-minded. Listed as child but young teen would also suffice.
“It’s called Galaxia. I saw it in a book once decades ago, and have wanted it ever since.” {simple, explaining}
“You… Really think so? {pause} Because… It’s just that even though I really want the sword, I don’t think I’ll ever get it. It’s just wishful thinking, and is impossible…” {disheartened}
“Hm? Oh. I found this entrance behind a rock. So I moved it. Honestly, it was badly hidden.” {plain, explaining}
The commander of the Star Warriors. Has a very caring yet strict moral compass, and is always looking to help others. Plays an essential part in many character’s developments such as Galacta, Meta and Kirby. Listed as MiddleAge but YoungAdult would also suffice.
“You’d do well to not think of such a place here. Sir Galacta has always taken an interest in studying Kaabii, and I know that while also training you, your differences will prove useful to his research.” {plain, explaining}
“It’s fine Meta. Though you’ve brought up such things a lot I’ve been told. Galacta will take care of you from here on out. You don’t need to fret over such a terrible past.” {plain, reassuring}
“Actually, I do. In fact, it’s the same meeting that you are supposed to be attending.” {exasperated}
The deity of a tribe known as the Gale Tribe. Played a piece in forming that tribe, and is connected deeply with The Blue Rose blade, drawing power from the blade and vice versa to the blade and its bearer. Has lived through several eras so is considered ageless, but tone would probably relate to YoungAdult or MiddleAge.
"Come out? You believe a mere trespasser can command me? Foolish! Begone from this place! Before my fangs find you! Pathetic runt!”
“Of course, it matters. My actions affect the tribe. How can I protect The Gale Tribe now if I attacked them..? I must have hurt so many innocents… How am I supposed to live with that?”
“But… What’s the use? The Blue Rose isn’t on the shrine… I’ll never be at full strength without it. It bears part of my power within it.”
Because of the small number of lines in The Blue Rose comic, some lines from another comic featuring Omega have been taken to use for auditioning, while only being a minor in this dub specifically, he is a very important character in the series as a whole and will have lots more opportunities for the spotlight.
“A-Aeon? W-what?” {shocked, confused}
“H-hi Aeon, but you shouldn’t be shouting. I’m not exactly supposed to be down here poyo…” {weary, slow}
“Aeon… This isn’t the time to mope poyo… And why didn’t you tell me sooner? I could have done something…” {complaining, exasperated}
Asbel’s mother though had given him to Galacta while he was very young. Has a connection to The Gale Tribe through her marriage, and seems to know much about their history and people.
“I think that you’d gone mad. The tribe has long since left Midoza. You drove them out… But, that happened roughly 1800 years ago… Or so I’ve been told.” {gentle, explaining}
“Well, I know someone. It’s a bit complicated how I know them, but I’m sure his ambitions align with yours. You want to help people again, don’t you? And protect them.” {reassuring, warm}
“Well, you’re in luck Caelestis! He happened to have travelled here with me. Oh! Here he comes now!” {cheerful, excited}
Seems to be being used by Hero OM718 but when enacting its orders, more dated orders overridden the current ones, causing heartache to those involved. Any gender but preferably female.
“Hero OM718 Requests--- Withhold Targets Temporarily---”
“Scan Complete--- Identified Hero AE263 and No.SC8124”
